  1. I can only confirm you!! Unfortunately, Clevo, like the other manufacturers, depends on the rate-based money.... The current monetary system forces the manufacturers to such measures...Only when this monetary system cleans up again, you could see something different....The future will also show how customers react to it all, thereby also less sales will be made. The question is, whether the people want to afford that also far. In the past, a P870xx cost 4000 Euros with immense equipment, today you get a 2cm book for 5000 Euros that lasts 2 years and is not upgradeable!!!...
  2. Like I said, it goes up to UHD in 144Hz! That is not a problem in the P775xx and P870xx!
  3. I currently see only my solution that allows to use the MXM port of the P870xx with 16 lanes and integrates a latest GFX generation. With all others everything is outside and more cumbersome. Also the tests from PCIe 3.0 to PCIe 4.0 is not relevant in games! There is pratically no notable difference between the two generations. Also the jump between the CPU generations does not show a huge jump in games. The 13th gen is a bit faster in games, but the 9th gen can still keep up well. It also depends on the motherboard itself, etc. It puts it into relative terms!!!
  4. It's a simple calculation: Thunderbolt is only as fast as the weakest link in the transmission. It would have to go directly via the CPU. But it probably goes via the chipset. I have, for example, my solution directly connected to the CPU. This allows 16 lanes. On Thunderbolt you would need a distribution chip that manages the 16 lanes. This also costs time. Besides, it would only be a laptop, if not so much stuff is standing around outside 🙂 My solution integrates the desktop GFX!
  5. Yes, it is a pity that the MXM format is dying out. For this reason I thought a few years ago to create a possibility in the P870xx to continue to use the MXM port for the latest graphics cards. I have posted my tests in the P870TM thread with the second development stage. So the newest GFX generation is integrable in the P870xx!
  6. Aliexpress is probably the cheapest! Since there are several providers think...But costs just duty and everything together
  7. This is practically possible and goes! The jump to 13 or 14 gen. would be interesting😁
  8. In the P870xx and P775xx it is possible up to 144Hz 4k!:-)
  9. Its the Version: 1.05.11 and 1.07.16(P870TM Bios) It could be the settings in the bios or the RAM itself!
  10. Probably it's an outdated and dirty system! Such a thing you can Windows badly get out of the habit and only a reinstallation brings there what!
  11. As I said, even without .26 or .28 goes the RTX20xx series! And it does not have to be a special Obsidian bios. They just make logo changes or similar like XMG or Mifcom or Eurocom. They are not OEM but only resellers. Clevo develops laptops and manufactures them! Dot:-)
  12. Anyway, a bios change is not necessary, even if there are the mentioned versions. It is irrelevant it basically works from Clevo!
  13. Hi, you do not need a bios update from Dsanke. You can also use the graphics card without the new bios! The original bios from Clevo works exactly the same. Furthermore, the RTX2080 was also supported for the P775TM by Clevo. The Obsidian Bios supports the RTX2080 anyway! No matter if .20/.25/.27 I think 1.07.27 did not exist! It only went up to .25 if I see it correctly....:-)
  14. Here is a Test with Red Dead 2 Redemptation in P870tm with RTX4070ti in all Ultra preset:
  15. No, your quote was already correct. And I already understood it regarding CPU adaptation! As I said, I'm still busy with PCIe adapter for the internal integration in the P870xx! Electrically everything is now so far ok...The Cpu adaptation I must still look very closely, if I have time for it again, and of course Muse!
  16. I can't really say anything about that yet. Currently, the adapter for desktop cards with the power supply is important. That is so far finished and works as it should and is my small series.
  17. I was actually planning on installing the 13th gen HX if then! But I still have to check everything electrotechnically!:-)
  18. That's right, the second version of MXM-PCie board and power supply is ready to rock! My shown tests with RTX4070 is the result of development!!!
  19. By an own developed MXM board and a corresponding power supply! This is now reality:-) My shown tests with RTX4070 is the result of development!!!
  20. Maybe you misunderstood me, but the RTX4090 /80/70 series would go in the P870xx!
  21. But my solution is a special development only for the P870xx! It only goes in it and is designed for installing a desktop card in the P870xx.
  22. Thank you!:-) We will see what there will be in the future. But I don't think this industry will be impressed. It is too dependent on contracts (Intel to Clevo for example) and the debt money system. There are just too many constraints. Probably it will be history to build such laptops in the future that are like the P870xx!!!
