Doesn’t matter. Older “normal” laptops can do what they are meant to do. Portable usage and some gaming on the go. I don’t see the need or pleasure spending +3000$ on modern laptops. I wish I could find an cheap X170 here home. But people are happy with them and use it the whole lifespan. Often 5 years +. Maybe I find one within 2 years to supplement my other old laptops :) A hell lot better than buy a thin 500$ Jokebook. And much more fun. Yep, LastPass play Russian roulette with your security. On top they want that you pay for it. What a great deal. They should offer their services for free the next one or two years for already paying customers. This if they still want their services. The latest LastPass fail came from an employee’s home PC A key component of the 2022 hack was an employee's home computer that was running vulnerable third-party software.

A very good job bro Raiderman👍 Continue as you do 🙂 @Mr. Fox It seems the Galax HW ain't supported in OpenRGB. But I think the Galax software can do the job with the puky colors. Only put what you want/need in the software then disable it from startup. All static white outside the Galax lights. But this smaller crown feature is smart... When I put the crown on the side of the graphics card... The aRGB HOF logo on the card is hided behind it🙂 The HOF card don't have much RGB lights and I like that. Just pull out the USB plug on the I/O panel and I the HOF screen is gone. This means minimal lights show in the black box. I finally reached +4000 points on the bot. More will come once I have done a custom Win 11 ISO. But I have no hurry install the latest and greatest. I remember in the old days... I said to myself... I shall take the Nr 1 spot for Norway. And here I'm now🙂 https://hwbot.org/submission/5215409_papusan_gpupi___1b_geforce_rtx_4090_1sec_153ms https://hwbot.org/submission/5215476_papusan_3dmark___fire_strike_extreme_geforce_rtx_4090_48464_marks?recalculate=true The efficiency for the Physics score is quite good for 6.1 with castrated chips (29 vs full 32 threads) with the measly 7000MHz ram speed. I should be able to pass 63.000 in physics with a good run with same clock speed. Sad Fire Strike don't scale well with high core counts chips. -

Thanks bro Fox. I will see how it works with the HOF crown for the screen and the card. The Crown have dual purposes. It warns when there is something wrong with the power connections. Both for both of the 16-pin connections on PSU and the GPU side + bling bling. I expect the light will change to warnings whatever light pattern I use if the Gpu discovers changes with the power connections. I'm sure bro Fox enjoy the nice sound from the black box more than the puking colors😎 I still haven't installed any software to make this tolerable. With the door closed help a lot. Both for sound and any lights. New video up. Sorry for the bad video quality. But here is the Black box ready for take off😎 @electrosoftI can't hear any coil whine from the new card due all the noisy fans, LOOL Don't click on the wrong like button -

Yep. Win 8 and above is the problem child on AMD and Intel before Skylake https://hwbot.org/generalRules Damn nice shoes bro @RaidermanTreat them well 🙂 Edit. Forgot to tell... No screen clipping if you want post scores on Hwbot. The taskbar must also be visible in the screenshoot. Have mentioned AMDs massive QC and QM problems before in my older posts... This one below follow same paths. They just can't stop🤯 The sooner AMD launches its Ryzen 7000HS series the better. The closer we get to the launch, the further adjustments are applied to the product specs, and none of them seems to go into a better direction. https://videocardz.com/newz/amd-quietly-reduces-ryzen-7040hs-rdna3-igpu-clock-speeds-removes-pcie-gen5-support -

Hwbot does not trust newer OS than Win 7 on AMD platform. So newer has to be better, HaHa Not allowed outside, you must use Benchmate. The same also applies to older Intel chips below the Skylake generation. Nice results bro Raiderman 🙂 Time Spy is DirectX 12. From what I remember Win 7 doesn't support it. Microsoft prefered that you upgraded to their new phone OS. Yep Win 8 was their ticket going into the phone market. They failed with phones but continued make Windows as an Apple clone for (phones and tablets). Unisex is what we call it. And Apple... They offer own OS /iOS) for their phones. Microsoft want that their desktop OS can be used for everything. They could offer DirectX 12 for Win 7 from the day they launched Win 8 if they wanted... DirectX 12 is now available on Windows 7 proving that dreams do come true Had to improvise a bit with a drill and tape. All internal USB 2 connectors are occupied on the MB, so I had to change a PCIe bracket a bit so that I can use the USB I/O ports for the HOF screen. Maybe I can find a dual Internal USB connector to make it more pretty. -

Short summary from Pcgamer.com... Looking at the frame times, I can see that the AMD chips are stuttering badly, and that's impacting the final average frame rate numbers. I can't tell whether this is something specifically due to the driver package attached to the 3D V-cache, as it's the same with the non-X3D version running the same chipset drivers. But it's certainly not something that occurs with the Intel chip. Just don't expect overclocking to come to the rescue if you want to squeeze that little bit of extra productivity performance out of your chip. AMD hasn't entirely killed overclocking, you can still use its Curve Optimizer and Precision Boost features, but direct overclocking is nixed. So, if you're a content creator with a passing interest in gaming, then the standard Ryzen 9 7950X or Intel Core i9 13900K is going to be of more interest to you. The ugly truth. Pay more, get less. And if you game on with 4K you get even less from this new X3D flagship from AMD A mildly overclock on Raptor lake (K/KS) you'll see more like 42.000 in Cinebench. And it won't run much hotter than the 7950X3D due the way AMD want the new Ryzen chips to run. I'm not even sure I will bother make Win 11 usefull for the limited use I have for it. I will in instead sit down, take it calm looking on more stupid moves from Redmond. This won't be the last we have see with crying babies and Microsoft... https://www.pcworld.com/article/1524782/microsoft-admits-it-marked-ineligible-pcs-for-windows-11-upgrades.html -

Thanks, bro Fox. I will use that fancy anti-sag bracket. You never know. Right below 3kg card is a heavy lift for the PCIe slot. At least Galax used a real 3 slot mounting bracket for a 4 slot card. With the limited amount pc parts web-shops here home I risk being banned if I return every second purchase I buy. Not easy living in a small country with limited options but awful tax policy if you buy parts outside the border. The only nice thing is the 5 years free warranty. But you pay for that with the high forced taxes. Buying parts outside the Norwegian border will add 25% tax but because you bought it outside Norway you lose the 5 years free warranty. The longer warranty only apply to purchases done here home. Aka pay more but get nothing extra back. All flagship graphics cards should perform better than the cheaper models of same SKU/brand. This applies the whole range of different SKUs. You pay premium for getting the best. Today you can get better performance from the cheaper cards than their flagship. Shouldn’t be like this. This is just sad. You pay more for more bling, better coolers not better bin. This is also sad. You pay more for less. You get better cpu for gaming and nothing more. For premium. 3.5 Stars of 5. https://uk.pcmag.com/processors/145658/amd-ryzen-9-7950x3d Sadly, nothing can help make Win 11 to be a better option than older Windows versions. Put lipstick on this new buggy and tablet OS don’t make it any better. -

I talk about Win 11. I have quintuple of OS installed. Now I need Win 11 and it will be sextuple setup. But this new and modern tablet OS is awful. I have no interest in it. Only for benching the new. Even if it may provide slightly better FPS in games, I won’t use it. Edit. Could see why you asked. Edit my previous post 🙂 -

Finally put in the HOF in the Black Box. Will be more like Black & White now😎 Could have been a better oc'r but memory at least above 1500 and cores above 300. And it seems I have to make a Win 11 install for this fancy card. This new modern OS will only used for benching... I just can't use it 24/7. Still no time for the small screen for the graphics card. I just hooked it up to the PSU shroud. So no time for fiddling with new bloatware, LOOL The card is very stiff and solid. So you really don’t need to use the silver shining sagging bracket you can see in front of the pump. If you look into right below corner then you see Zippytek use another benchers OS build. Only God know how this custom OS works out. I have never had much success with many of the so called tweaked OS for maxed out performance that flooding around from different tweakers on the Web/YouTube. Maybe I doing something wrong but bench results is often bad with others customized OS builds. https://hwbot.org/submission/5214103_papusan_gpupi_v3.3___32b_geforce_rtx_4090_57sec_752ms https://hwbot.org/submission/5214084_papusan_unigine_superposition___8k_optimized_geforce_rtx_4090_15885_points https://hwbot.org/submission/5214112_papusan_unigine_superposition___1080p_xtreme_geforce_rtx_4090_24926_points?recalculate=true https://hwbot.org/submission/5214086_papusan_3dmark___port_royal_geforce_rtx_4090_27325_marks -

Intel has a small time window now before Nvidia and AMD start flooding the market with the next generation of low/mid end graphics cards. But not so sure the deals presented here are good enough. What do you think bro @electrosoft? And how will this pan out for Intel and retail once the lower tier cards from AMD/Nvidia is out and in the shops? Excl tax is what you need to compare U.S prices with (1 USD = 0.948047 EUR). Bro Fox. I have removed what I mean is less important. For me. 6-0 or it could be 5-0, 4-0 or even 1-0 if I remeoved more of the less important things. AMD will anyway get 0 points. See my comment below. This doesn't cover everything bro Fox. This... Apply them all. None of the AIC partners put much work into binning or be sure they use the best parts for their flagship/enthusiast products. If they did.... You would never see this below from their enthusiast product. And they all do the same thing... Put all works into the estetic and design. Make a very good cooler can hide away the worst silicon quality. People buy with their eyes and are often brand loyal. Hence the AIC partners come away with it. Just make it barely good enough vs competitors products. Testing notes & interpretation for Gaming X Trio The cheaper Gaming X Trio 4090 cards use 18+4-phase design. The new modern with more expensive High end Phase/VRM design for the enhusiasts products have no longer a special value outside offering good longevity. This only add more costs who normally isn't needed with the power gimped and castrated voltage/TGP design from Nvidia or AMD. I'm sure 18+4-phase design would work well with the higher TGP limits as the flagship models if the cooling is adequate. You go the opposite route of the gamer-kids bro Etern. Maybe you are starting to get old and dusty?😎 -

ALL AIC partners just follow their mothership. If nvidia throw out 8GB 4060's to the average gamer kids they do this only to trigger a new upgrade within weeks for the screwed so they can continue sell their overpriced higher end SKU's as 4070Ti and 4080 with broken silicon. This is perverse..... 16:23 - Will 8GB of VRAM on the 4060 be enough? Sad seeing Asus who should know better push out binned silicon that is worse then you can get from cheaper brands and with their cheapest SKUs. Premium is gone. High quality components as amazing power deleivery, top notch PCB and cooling is worthless as it is now. Fancy features like most possible bling bling and pretty design is all it's about now. And offer the best cooling in it's class only to reduce noice... Not to deliever best cooling for best performance. Nowadays modern tech sucks. -
Nice see some still make good software (more options how to handle Windows Defender) @Mr. Fox
