  1. HaHa. I think own fab + own packaging is cheaper than have to buy everything from 2nd hand factories. This is the reason AMD needed higher prices for own products. With worse times it will be harder for both make huge profits from less sales. And if you have too much staff, then you have to adjust it. The whole tech sector is in deep problems now. People have to buy bread and butter before they spend money on thing they may not need. So higher margins doesn’t help much if the volume is low due less sales (less people want to spend money). It’s about finding the right balance. Too expensive will only push people away from spending money. Nvidia etc sell out their new stuff. But this won’t last. New is only new with launch. And not all will buy cards around 2000$.
  2. Water will stay a lot longer in the Mo-ra due it's internal design so it should cool better. But you pay a higher price for this feature. Looking forwards to see your finished setup bro Fox🙂
  3. Have asked about buying this board on the second-hand market. I'll see if I can get it. Under half price vs new (barely used). Support DDR4 and not DDR5 but this should not be a problem. I am going to set up a reasonable gaming machine for my eldest son. Any suggestions on OK DDR4 (32GB)kit? Need to be a kit from the QVL list. My son will use it for gaming and for the usual on the web. He is not a tweaker. The board will cost around $160 here home. New is +350$. Yep it's an Asrock Z690 Extreme but an older used Asus Z390/Z490 board is at same or sligtly higher price here on the used market. So the price ain't bad. And he will get my golden 12900K and cooling for cheap. Target is Cyberpunk at 1440P with a mid end graphics card. Edit. I'm looking at led strips to have some lighs in my chassis. All white. No need for color change features or installing awful software to make it work. I have this option here home... akasa Vegas LED Strip Light White Bundle Corsair 1000D is a big chassis. The Akasa led strips above is only 50 cm long (without connectors). I'll need 60 cm long led strips to fill each side (without connectors). Any suggestions? Cheap, all white and bright. Most likely brand name due limited parts supply here home. And I I prefer Magnetic attachment. Thanks
  4. Put it the other way. If they don’t want to post W/m*k numbers they do it for a reason;)
  5. Intel Claws Back Notebook and Desktop PC Market Share From AMD In Latest Mercury Research Report This should worry AMD. Offer the most expensive platform don't pay off. Greed at the expense of market shares will reduce possible profits forwards. If you can't offer the best performance then you can't charge more than your competitor. Neither should you if you offer equal performance or features. This was doomed to happen. I really hope for AMD's part that they don't fall for their own complacency, and do the same for the server side... Because this will hit AMD much harder. Yep, greed doesn't always pay off in the long run. There is still some time to turn the tide but I am afraid it is too late. Which is sad for consumers. Competing on who offers the most expensive gear is not something we should expect from AMD. But the 5000 series Ryzen 9 5950X should have been a wake-up call to us all of what was to come. Yep, AMD shot themselves in the foot with a connon.
  6. Yep, the profits will help Dell continue in the same way forwards. Aka more garbage will pop out.
  7. Dell is out with the rehashed AW fryer-box. I wonder how they managed to avoid the NVIDIA bend-gate in this chassis. Maybe they have created an new PROPRIETARY Custom small sized 4090 Gpu, cable and connector. Put in an 4090 and 13900KF in this 44l black/greyish white glossy plastic covered Dell box will be the ultimate heat source for any house in North Scandinavia. A must have for this winter. I can imagine in my weird head all the drooling kids out there ask mama nicely "can I have it"... It's an ALIENWARE. MUST HAVE IT. NOW! Mama... Yes my love. It's an Dell so it has to be good What is 5% lower Cpu temps? 5% of 100°C is 5°C = 95°C temp target, LOOL The First Alienware RTX 4090 Gaming PC Is Now Available at Dell store...

  10. Test : Arctic MX-6 Thermal paste overclocking.com | 9 november 2022 https://overclocking.com/test-arctic-mx-6-thermal-paste/5/ The remaining question will be... Will also MX-6 suffer from uneven batches? Arctic as you know had to scrap MX-5 into EOL status for the mentioned problem.
  11. You can't go wrong with whatever cheaper 4090 you go with (if you find one) compared to any 4080 cards. $1550 or $1199 is still very wrong for a xx80 card. Imagine if Nvidia have put same premium for 4090 vs 3090 ? They added $100 on top for the 4090. What did they add in premium for 4080 over older 3080 ? You can clearly see there is something very wrong with this 4xxx SKU. Nvidia announces new RTX 3080 GPU, priced at $699
  12. If people want to pay $1550 for a 4080 then they are darn stupid. On a level I have never seen before.
  13. Micro Center Prices RTX 4080 Close to RTX 4090's MSRP If your budget can stretch to $1,500 for a RTX 4080, you may want to consider a RTX 4090 if you can find it near MSRP, which will be noticeably faster card for just $50 more on some models. https://videocardz.com/newz/microcenter-confirms-geforce-rtx-4080-us-pricing-from-1199-to-1549 Who in the right mind would pay $1550 for an ASUS NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 ROG Strix Oc'd? Is this placeholder (MC confirm the price) or do Asus/Micro Center think consumers are stupid? It seems Asus is one of the worst Nvidia partners regarding price setting of own home baked Nvidia products. This is laughable and should not be taken seriously.
  14. This so called 24 cores cpu struggle to come on par with an 16x desktop CPU from last year. What a waste. @Mr. Fox ready to jump on the first 18 inch laptop since the old days with Alienware? And be you sure... It will be thin. Yep, it will be thin as a pancake. Razers trademark. The laptop gamers will screeem........ 15. Not bad from an old fart near the North pole (where the sun almost never shine)🙂 Older the better bro @Mr. Fox? 😄 It seems Intel have closen the gap to Ryzen chips in Wprime 1.55 wth this gen processors. https://hwbot.org/submission/5117949_papusan_wprime___32m_core_i9_13900k_1sec_172ms?recalculate=true https://hwbot.org/submission/5117952_papusan_wprime___1024m_core_i9_13900k_25sec_626ms Btw. 18 inch laptops will come back. Maybe Dell Alienware will try the same and compete with Razer who will offer the thinnest 18 inch gaming book?
  16. I wouldn't sell it below 1200$. But thats me. And he have to pay for the shiiping. My asking price here isn't far away from what you have to pay for binned chips sold on the bot marketplace. Many binned chips will be sold at 1000$ when the owners is done with them. Sell while the chips is freshware or just keep it. Once the KS is out, the old is forgotten or the value shrink to 800$ (This depending on how the KS chips keep up). Unlocked Raptor chips have gone down in price.. Sub 600$ so double the price is fair to ask for.
  17. Thanks 🙂 Added it in my XTU Library. Only lacked XTU 7.9.0.24. Have 44 versions now in the library. I mean I still lack a few from recent. Same for the old past. I prefer save all. Yo never know if you find some old HW for cheap 🙂 Download ink: XTU Library - Nov 09, 2022 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Nvidia have pushed themself in a corner. Why change something that have worked well before? The damn cute and pretty new Gpu power connector to match their small cute graphics PCB is a change "only for the change". As long there will be user errors, there will be fire and smoke. And no consumers will admit they did it wrong "because they won't be able to have it fixed on warrranty (user errors)". Warranty normally don't cover user errors! PCI-SIG working on updated 12VHPWR connector, but it won’t address the melting problem PCI-SIG, the organization behind all things PCI Express, is now reviewing a potential change to the 12VHPWR connector. https://videocardz.com/newz/mind-the-gap-psu-expert-recommends-how-to-insert-12vhpwr-cables-correctly
  18. Thank you very much bro Fox 🙂 Sometimes I forget to follow up some websites. Intel's software policy is disgusting. Edit. Btw... Is this version the last one before current XTU v7.9.1.3 ?
  19. Bro Fox. You are not alone seeing this. Btw. Anyon that have saved Intel Extreme Tuning Utility v7.9.0.24 ? The stupids at Intel support will only offer latest version for download. In the old days we could pick whatever version we wanted.
  20. @johnksss Jufes test the trashcard😄 And he will test it with water block to the boat. Will the Zotac card then be transformed into a water boat ? HaHa
  21. People pay near 200$ for a upgrade to the Pro version.... Minor changes vs the Home Edition but offer same amount ads Buy and Download Windows 11 Pro | Microsoft At least Microsoft should at least offer an "opt out button" on the start menu for the Pro version that stop all madness coming from Redmonds' software engineers. This before you even connect to the network. It should also be implemented in the ISO for first time install.
  22. Why so upset about this fantastic new modern OS? Microsoft try so hard they can to make Win 11 to a better experience for you all. So give them some credit, LOOL Microsoft is bringing more ads to Windows 11
  23. Microsoft try out new features to make Win 11 to a better experience for next main upgrade. Do you want new features like this also added in Win 10 or Win 10 LTSC? @Mr. Fox @Ashtrix maybe it's about time jump on the latest and greatest from Redmond? People ask for more features... And Microsoft will offer it in loads. Microsoft is bringing more ads to Windows 11 Mayank Parmar - November 8, 2022 0 Windows 11 could get more advertisements and popups, according to new features spotted in the preview builds. While the new ads that we're seeing are currently in testing for the operation system, it’s likely that the ads will eventually start appearing on the production builds.
  24. Does anyone have EVGA Precision X1 Version v1.4.0.5 ? I see only Version 1.3.7.0 on their download page. Or maybe Jayz got a version thats not yet released. Btw. I was out walking 1.5 hour in the forest with the dog. And yep... A new one, LOOL Caught this just in time. One sleeve starting to melt.
  25. And the 4080 will get the same power connector and adapter. I wonder if they will delay the launch of 4080. A new baby from Nvidia just burned out 5 min ago. RTX 4090 started burning Or just be sure you have a spare graphics card 🙂 RMA takes time. And it feels worse if you don't have any graphics cards to play with😎
