It looks like AMD have know everything about the problem the whole time since launch of the 7000 series processors. Now they are forced to do something. Isn't that nice?๐ -

AMD Ryzen 7000 Burning Out: EXPO and SoC Voltages to Blame (AMD Responds) https://www.tomshardware.com/news/amd-ryzen-7000-burning-out-root-cause-identified-expo-and-soc-voltages-to-blame Update 4/25/2022, 10:41 am PT: AMD has responded to the numerous reports of chip failures with a short statement acknowledging that claims do exist and that the company is investigating. The statement confirms that AMD is working with its ODM partners (motherboard makers) to ensure safe voltage settings are applied to its Ryzen 7000X3D CPUs, but doesn't name the specific actions that it is taking: "We are aware of a limited number of reports online claiming that excess voltage while overclocking may have damaged the motherboard socket and pin pads. We are actively investigating the situation and are working with our ODM partners to ensure voltages applied to Ryzen 7000X3D CPUs via motherboard BIOS settings are within product specifications. Anyone whose CPU may have been impacted by this issue should contact AMD customer support." -- AMD Spokesperson to Tom's Hardware. Notably, the statement does not acknowledge the multiple reports of failures with standard Ryzen 7000 processors. ASUS has also issued a statement, clarifying that it will issue firmwares that limit SoC voltage to 1.3V. So who will pay for the damaged MB and fried V-cashe chips? Lets say 1/2 year forwards (those that don't know about the problem and live in a sweet dream that nothing is wrong with their AM5 platform) ? Guru3d.com... This issue impacts all motherboard brands and is not covered under warranty. AMD is working diligently to rectify the situation and is expected to release an official statement in the near future. -

Damn good deal. But who would sell a brand new unused card on the used mmarket and loose near $670 vs the webstore price? He say he could of course send the card back to the Store but he is in need for the money now. Sure Translated... Brand new ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 4090 White Edition OC sold due to bought the wrong color and need money ๐ (ps. I know I can send it back, but I need money, my wallet is a bit tight now, so I'd rather take the loss on my coat:) The price is 80$ below a 4080 Strix OC in same color (the best price - the rest of the stores will charge a lot more for the 4080). Ps. Look at this old beauty. I have always wanted a MSI Lightning card. I have asked if the card is available for fast shippeing and have the original package and content. GTX 680 Lightning. $100 Such card offer more value for me than newer and more modern cards meant for modern times and newer games (has the collector value). + I can game with it - Yep older games ๐ I'm happy with older things. Don't need to be the newest. -

This is how Nvidia force you to upgrade your 1-2 years old graphics cards...Cripple the products in worst possible way as etc cut costs to the bone. And we see the same happen again with the successor the 4070@$600. Buy mid range cards from Nvidia is probably the worst purchase you can do. On top you pay loads more for less cuda cores. 16GB RTX 3070 Mod Shows Impressive Performance Gains This GPU really is handicapped with its default 8GB configuration. https://www.tomshardware.com/news/3070-16gb-mod The original card was operating at just one (yes one) FPS 1% low and 0.1% FPS lows, while the 16GB card operated with 60 and 40 FPS respectively. Average frame rates also went up, from 54 to 71 FPS. -

Yep, I figured out that there is different taxes depending on where you live in U.S. As well where you live in the State. And thanks ๐ But you have an advantage... The valuta exchange rate. We pay quite a lot for this. Everything is valued after USD and some cases Euro. Always with an disadvantage for a small valuta as Norwegian NKR. 5 US States Without a Statewide Sales Tax - The Balance Edit. Here for EU 2023 VAT Rates in Europe - Tax Foundation (Norway 25%). The worst is Hungary with 27%. -

So you pay close to 9% tax on top of goods in CA ? What if you order from shops outside the State you live in? Still have to pay the same tax? Same as here home?... Everything will be added the 25% tax. And same for shipping/and handling the orders. But we get 5 years free warranty (nice for second hand sales). I still would prefer no tax and 1 or 2 years limited warranty. 3 years for Asus boards Btw. MSI MEG Z690 Unify-X cost $445 or $356 without tax in the Store. Brand new, but Z690 as I don't think MSI offer newer gen Unify-X boards. -

Whats up with Asus and prices in U.S ? Do you pay tax on pc parts in California? $760.15 USD or much lower $608 here home without the added/forced Norwegian 25% tax. So this Asus MB should only cost around 605$ (in U.S statesor other places without any taxes/fees). -

Users Report Ryzen 7000X3D Chips Burning Out, Killing Motherboards It could be a motherboard BIOS issue. Asus has just withdrew old BIOSes for many of its AMD X670-based motherboards, but for some of them old BIOSes are still available. For now, we recommend that those with AMD's Ryzen 7000X3D processors keep a close eye on their CPU temps, use adequate cooling and keep their BIOSes up-to-date. Great... You will always have to use newest firmware, even if you want it or not. And ASUS and bios updates can be a hit or miss. Mostly a downgrade for stability. But you get latest security patches (some that remember Plundervolt and what it did for Jokebooks?).... Here is another flooop. But from Nvidia...... 0:46 RTX 4070 Week 1 Sales Leak โ An Overall Flop The damn AI technology race come all too early. I wish it started 6 months later or fall 2023. Nvidia would be forced to do some changes on prices before the 4000 series popped out. But this would probably not help if you wanted the 4090. Only for the lower tier 40xx SKUs. -

Did you enable MRC fast boot afterwards (after training) to speed up the boot? Or you're stuck with slower boot now? The Asus Z690 Apex MB lottery is probably the worst lottery I have ever seen. Some can barely do 6000 while some can do +8000. Asus should have branded this MB as... Asus Z690 Apex DDR5 Guinea Pig Edition. A (Average) S (Sub quality) U (Utter trash) S (Stupid expensive). -

Yep, Nvidia destroyed the xx70 SKU this gen. So yet another no go. Previous gen aka 3070 got crippled by the 8GB vram limit. So it seems Nvidia continue with their screwups. Not only screwed up prices... The whole product is screwed up. As a footnote. The cheapest 4070 here home is $736.25 United States Dollar๐คข Whats the point put more money in a cooling that is worse than for the FE cards? They used damn expensive pads. Ten times more expensive than the best Fuji-Poly can offer๐ And what does a dual bios feature cost? +- $10 ? Those two useless small extra fans maybe increased their cost with $3 as max. But useless gimmics often increase the attention. So maybe worth it... For Maxsun. Not the buyers. Here you can see how useless works out... The two small whiny fans should be traded with dual bios feature. And Maxun should have taken the cost difference. 3$ vs 10$. So 7$ off the profits.. -

My old Gainward GTX 570 seems dead for oc'ing. Higher core clocks won't stick/crash at much lower clocks than normal. I normally had +32% overclock now barely 5% on the cores. But max voltage and vram overclock works just fine. And temps is ok so not the culprit. And same behaviour on 6 different OS. Hmm Here is 3DM Fire Strike - The newer GTX 670 https://hwbot.org/submission/5256518_papusan_3dmark___fire_strike_geforce_gtx_670_8516_marks?recalculate=true
