I have put in the card. Barely space for the GPU- Reactor box to fit in below the Apex SSD heatsink. So I don't need to remove the Grey/blue Reactor cover. It would have been impossible to mount it correctly if the cover had been tiny bit larger🙂 And it seems it's alive. Both fans spins and the GPU is recognized in the OS. $332 USD (euros vs USD) for a fully stripped down board without the extras? Who want to buy the second defective board without the Asus parts and no warranty?... I could buy the Z790 Apex ($760 here) now and then sell it for 428$ in the second hand market 2024 without loosing a cent vs buy a second half-baked board now to make my Z690 Apex board work the way it was meant to be from the beginning. I won't pay $332 USD to make the mem going up from 7000 to 8000 speed. I rather sell my board for $400 then buy a new Z790 Apex and pay the $360 in between. But even this would be foolish. I could buy the second PSU for my Corsair 1000D and a nice NVMe ssd for this amount money.

I paid around $120 USD for my 980 K|ngp|n. And now there is people on the used market here home that want buy similar card. They want to pay around $190 USD. This even for a defective card for their Gpu collection. Yep, I don't want sell it, but the card will keep up its value forwards. The opposite of brand new modern cards, HaHa Hmmm, or some dishonest souls? Does the serial/batch nr match bethween box and Cpu?

There is even more in this. You don't even know what brand/model ssd they will put in your laptop. So you risk double up. Trash ssd for huge premium. Worst of both worlds.... Double screwed.

Forget 4080 as of now. The prices is 200-300$ too high. None should pay 1150-1200$ for cards that should cost 800$ included inflation. At least not above 850-900$ for the best custom cards. I mean Gamers Nexus test out pre-built machines. Maybe worth look into that channel. The review websites as tomshardware, Pcworld, hothardware etc are not credible and are just paid shill. I would avoid those if I was looking after pre-built machines.

This platform is a complete mess. A huge buggy mess. Read my previous posts the last months about AMD and their QC and QM problems. This was to be expected. Same also for Asus. In short... Yep, you won't get an 2TB ssd below $200 here home. Here's another option... $250 just at a uglier price. A new good quality 750w SFX PSU is +-220$ here home. Looking good👍 What with mount it on the front fans? Can't remember how it looks like in your chassis but there is several solutions for chassis with cramped space. There is D5 pump combos out there with small reservoir that only need one fan sized space.

Yep, and you are not the only one. Sad the QC at CableMod is so bad. Most people had to use the hated cable salad from the GPU package to find it out (weird black screens and shut downs). And sometimes it worked then the problem come and go.

I doub't this will help. AMD do it the Microsoft way. Cut costs where they can and let the customers be their unpaid guinea pig. And smaller companies vs the bigger brothers often cut costs to grow. And AMD is Intel and Nvidia's little sister. They want their share of the cake. Maybe it will change if people stop buying their products. I think this is the only "viable"solution/way for this problem. Just don't buy their products. Sorry @Raiderman @electrosoft but their QC and QM is awful🙂

It seems AMD also being stingy... AMD’s Radeon RX 7600 (XT) will follow the same path. What a disgusting coparation between the green stingy leaterman and the liar lady Su.. I wonder whom talk with whom under development/finishing of their product stack. Remember AMD already know very well what Nvidia GPU they should compare aginst before the realese of 7000 Radeon. Price wise as well performance. Only God know how many GPU installs (15-20 different cards) I have done on my 6-8 different OS's the last years. I never ever see this. Even with my AMD card😎 It just works.

I think I have 16 or 17 left. But not sure. Killed two of them the last year... The 1070 (a very good clocker) and the Gainward GTX 570 (My honest opinion - Gainward is trash). I would avoid this brand. They are still in business with 4xxx series cards. Yep I won't buy anything from this brand anymore. Nothing special with this brand. Not even the brand I prefer, HaHa Here's the rela deal @electrosoft The crocs will show up once I have the card in my hands 🙂 The GPU Reactor add on card is maybe an gimick but if this feature (have blue lights) is less flashy than the new and modern bling bling RGB puke show I can nice live with that🙂 And from what I have read, the gpu reactor reduce the voltage drop with 10mv so it can help stability with maxed clocks..
