Autumn's big Windows update is apparently causing display problems pcworld.com Several users have encountered screen-related issues while using the latest Windows version. Microsoft informs Windows 11 21H2 / 22H2 PCs will be force-updated to 23H2 next month neowin.com · Today Still on Windows 11 22H2 or even 21H2? Microsoft has informed that your PC will be force-updated next month onwards. And Microsoft prefer that some of their modern apps need to run in the background due all the tasks and the services in the background eating up the Cpu resources and make the fancy photo app not to launch up fast enough. HENCE THEY NOW NEED TO RUN THE PHOTO APP ALSO IN THE BACKGROUND, LOOL Microsoft says Windows 11’s Photos app will run in background to launch faster Neowin.com - September 8, 2024 The redesigned Microsoft Photos app with AI and web features has been available for some time now. After the redesign in early 2024, Microsoft updated the Photos app again in April 2024 to use.. Slight better but Microsoft have let the Windows 11 users start flood the internet with useless crap from their AI stuff stupidity....

New low from Asus. The GDDR6 model is currently $15 more than Asus’s white GDDR6X OC variant. The first Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 graphics cards packing slower GDDR6 VRAM have started to trickle through to U.S. e-tailers. Asus Dual GeForce RTX 4070 GDDR6 hits U.S. e-tailers but is more expensive than some GDDR6X models -

Nice. A new water block will come for Arrow lake and socket 1851. Hmmm, I wonder if they will offer an coldplate upgrade or people need to buy an new Direct Die water block from Thermal Grizzly to get the best performance. Thermaltake confirms 71 CPU cooler models are fully compatible with Intel LGA1851 Much easier reuse the old cold plate for socket 1700 without direct die mount. -

Sad days forwards. AMD don't bother compete anymore. But this is as expected. Remember AMD hired our old friend F. Azor from Dell Alienware as Chief Architect of Gaming Solutions & Marketing at AMD. AMD deprioritizing flagship gaming GPUs: Jack Hyunh talks new strategy against Nvidia in gaming market https://www.tomshardware.com/pc-components/gpus/amd-deprioritizing-flagship-gaming-gpus-jack-hyunh-talks-new-strategy-for-gaming-market It sure sounds like AMD is ready to cede the performance crown to Nvidia before the battle has even begun, and that doesn't bode well for the pricing of Nvidia's next-gen gaming flagships — a lack of meaningful competition at the top of the stack is never good for the consumer. How Extreme is this?🤔 AMD's Z2 Extreme processor will upgrade handheld PC gaming early next year Expensive AMD X870 motherboards could offset more affordable Ryzen 9000 CPUs After converting the listed Euro amounts to US dollars based on current exchange rates, the pricing shows a significant increase over Asus' existing X670 motherboard lineup. www.techspot.com -

Who would thought AMD would become the price inflator and Intel the cheaper option a few years ago. But as we know.... AMD changed how they priced their Ryzen chips with 5950X. Yup, close to $800 for an mainstream Cpu. Never seen this awful price point in recent years. Maybe AMD looking at themself and think they are the premium brand now. Oh'well. Something to think about... The higher you rise, the harder you fall🙂 If this pricing is close to be correct then we can see Intel try to keep the prices below the inflation. That's good. AMDs mainstream flagship was released with an MSRP at $649 a couple of months ago... So AMD clearly want to be the premium brand to go with🤢 https://www.tomshardware.com/pc-components/cpus/intel-core-ultra-200k-cpu-pricing-exposed-by-overseas-retailer-arrow-lake-priced-up-to-8-higher-than-raptor-lake-refresh -
With a native mitigation to Inception.... Newer Zen 5 and older Zen 1/Zen+ and Zen 2 CPU is unaffected. With Zen3 you're screwed. With a native mitigation to Inception, Zen 5 is unaffected by software-based security mitigations' potential performance degradation effects. Zen 3 and Zen 4 require software mitigations to patch Inception. Zen 3 can suffer a whopping 54% performance drop with the Inception software mitigations turned on (but only on specific workloads). Hilariously, though, AMD's older Zen 1/Zen+ and Zen 2 CPU architectures are unaffected by the Inception vulnerability due to the way the branch predictor works in those architectures. https://www.tomshardware.com/pc-components/cpus/zen-5-cpu-performance-is-unaffected-by-inception-mitigation

Still a huge failure. They saw an progress for 18A process node and hence scrapped A20. And this come now. There is simply no trust in Intel right now. This was in the card a long time. Intel never intended to use A20 in any of their new chips. And A18, that one will come for mobile junk in 2025. Remember the Rocket lake desktop chips.... They got the old 14nm node while the mobil chips went on 10NM. The history repeats itself once again. Intel is their own enemy. Or better say they have greedy shareholders that want to reduce the losses with every tool they have in their tool box. Intel's poor stock performance could lead to its removal from the Dow Jones The chipmaker can't seem to catch a break this year And the race for offering maximum power efficiency will continue... Now we see Qualcomm will have a bite of the cake. And Intel and AMD need to offer same power efficiency and maximum performance will come second or last. Qualcomm CEO: We will build circuits for desktop computers If Cristiano Amon has his way, future Snapdragon chips will be in all kinds of personal computers, even powerful desktops. -
Roundup: Cooler Master CryoFuze 7, CryoFuze 5 Violet, MasterGel Maker and Pro V2 in the test – thermal paste from grey to colourful igorslab.de Conclusion Looking at the entire portfolio, I would recommend the Cooler Master MasterGel Maker, which is still easy to process, or the slightly more viscous (and better) CryoFuze 7. Beginners are better off using the Cooler Master MasterGel Pro V2 for quick success. The CryoFuze 5 Violet, on the other hand, is a liquid soup that bleeds and is pumped out faster than you can say pug. That's it for now and we're done.

The beauty is in the details. Intel need help. What a down turn for the blue. Now we see where the claimed power efficiency comes from. Yup, hybrid chips get an meaning. A hybrid in all ways. The announcement comes as Intel embarks on a vast restructuring in the wake of troubling financial results last quarter. Out with the Intel node, in with TSMC. Intel announces cancellation of 20A process node for Arrow Lake, goes with 'external nodes,' likely TSMC -

I can't get enough of this launch. This tick all boxes for the modern PC user.... Fantastic news for the average computer Joe. This just getting better and better. Intel know exactly where to put most of their resources. iGPU and baby cores. Yup, one of the most important evolutions with Lunar Lake is the series' new processor cores, where the E-cores according to the Skymont architecture are the big star of the show. Intel launches Core Ultra 200V - "best integrated graphics in the world" https://www.sweclockers.com/nyhet/39552-intel-lanserar-core-ultra-200v-basta-integrerade-grafiken-i-varlden Because we in "Intel" put the money in what people want nowadays☹️ @Mr. Fox I hope you all appreciate Intel's new targeted audience. The iGPU jockey's. Remember Nvidia can't please you all. And here Intel comes to rescue. Great graphics performance to you all. Hence why we need brand new processors. Yup, this is cutting edge tech at it best. Hmmm. Intel don't have 13th/14th gen replacement processors. This will be ugly forwards....
