  1. Wow, the apple fans in this thread's arguments didn't age well. iOS 17.5 Bug May Also Resurface Deleted Photos on Wiped, Sold Devices [Updated] - MacRumors 🤦‍♂️ As I stated MANY MANY MANY times before. Apple privacy and security is all a marketing scam. They are no more secure, and most times less secure than others. People can keep drinking the koolaid but we have moved on to better things. Our pixels are great still!
  2. That's great. Enjoy the new chapter in your life. We are working hard on getting our own stuff up and running, plus home renovations so hopefully by next year this time we can just say EFF it to being employed by others and move to completely home/remote based self employment. We can travel then when we want, how we want and not be on an employer schedule telling us when we can or cant go somewhere.
  3. Thanks for the response. I am thinking you are correct in stating the bios does not support boot from PCIe. should I just install the os on the raid array? Now I have to figure out how large a drive will be supported. I am pushing forward with this one to remove cloud photo storage after the shenanigans with apples "privacy first" approach to data storage. bah ha ha.
  4. That's how it usually goes. Larger companies lay off entire teams responsible for the inner workings in the name of greedy stakeholders. Something screws up and said team no longer fixes said problem. Said team goes and gets hired by a better company who actually cares about their employees. Said team has a much better life as a result. I keep telling MrsKojack this. She works for the government and every few years there's rumblings about layoffs. I tell her it's the best thing that will ever happen to you. Sandy....did you find a better employer after?
  5. I agree. I have had to change my soap etc to all natural versions. But yes. Alot of gluten free things still contain trace amounts of wheat. Under the guidelines for the Celiac organization of Canada, You can have a certain amount and be labeled gluten free.
  6. What a great thread. We are re arranging our house now. Turning my current office into a library / reading room. Taking my oldest's bedroom/living room/walk in closet and converting it into a media creation room for our new videos, podcast and more, putting my office out there for editing and writing, and making the closet into a printing, business supplies storage and equipment room. We were into chapters this weekend and picked out about 50 books to start our collection in the library. Even the smell of books are great. I am glad there are more in here interested in actual books than reading off the screen all the time. Our library is going to be a dark and moody design with nice lighting, a rug, table with 2 comfortable chairs and a built in seat to fit two other people in the book shelf unit. that way we can have a board game night in there too with our family.
  7. Just ordered two of these for MrsKojack and myself. Our current ones are Wore TF out! Lots of use from the past two years. The new models have replaceable everything. Anything wears out, order the new part and away we go. Along with my Medical Cannabis card, these are going to be great! I tried my first haul of medical grade and it's AWESOME! No more pain in my neck, knee, the brain goes in the correct gear and is happy all the time too. POTV XMAX Starry V4 Vaporizer | Free Shipping - Planet of the Vapes (Canada)
  8. How can I back track bios updates? I have tried everything else you mentioned. Edit: I just looked in task manager my CPU is being used between 8-24% off and on. Nothing to cause the fans to be hitting hard. I use this system daily and never had fans going unless I was doing a video edit encode etc.
  9. I have noticed since I did a bios and full software update my fan is running alot more than normal. Any ideas where to look to see what is causing it?
  10. Anyone ever try chubby cables? I like the idea of them, for something cool in my setups. Delight Your Tech-Savvy Life. | Chubbycable
  11. Ok, I am trying to keep my USB - C port free for data and things like that. I will buy it with a 65w charging block and give it a shot. My charging block I am using now its 45w. The cord is getting a bit mangled on the block side of the charger so I want to upgrade. I am just wondering if the system will throttle the charge to the correct rate. Either way, It will be great to have a compact charging solution for my notebook.
  12. Wow, Just stumbled upon this thread. I will get some photos of them this week when I am back from St John's. ha ha.
  13. Anyone? I figure it's just a cord. Get a 100w or more charger and the system will self regulate to 65w to charge. That way I can take one charger block, charge and use my notebook as I do now but also charge my phone, tablet etc off the same one block. Correct me if I am wrong on that please.
  14. 20 left. We refinance after the first 5 years to get some extra things done. It added 5 years to our mortgage. But NEVER AGAIN! We are in a much different place now. Get our mortgage paid off ASAP then just relax. I will be 67 when it's paid off.
  15. I can eat all of it. just using wheat free substitutes. As for the gluten free items, most are wheat free but some product indeed do have trace wheat amounts. I read the label of EVERY item I purchase now. Slows down the shopping process but is therapeutic as well. I have had most every type of bread and pasta in our aera and 99 percent of it is really good. I even made my own homemade pizza dough using Bob's Redmill flour. Next time for that one I need a stand mixer with dough spiral and add some salt as well.
  16. get a van and travel! If we were not tied to our 350,000 dollar mortgage, we would be doing that right now.
  17. I cannot imagine. Peace and Love to you brother! My wife is my best friend and my rock. If I lost her I don't know what I would do.
  18. The last song I listened to was Goose - Hungersite. Got my Medical Cannabis card last week for my knee, neck and mind. I have some new high grade strains from an organic grower in British Columbia. They only sell to medical recipients and it's quality stuff. Popped this on the JBL speaker in my garage, and enjoyed the ride! just waiting for my new vaporizers for da wife and I to get here for a really good experience.
  19. This is the cable I am looking at. It's a USB C to DC barrel connection for Dell notebooks. I am looking at pairing it with a high power multiport charger for all of our devices while we are on the road. 20. Anyone got any ideas for this before I scrap this project and move to a different solution and use this system for something else?
  21. Yes, I am fine now. It's just your run of the mill severe allergy. No different than a shellfish allergy. Celiac is Gluten intolerance. It makes you have upset stomach, poop liquified stuff, and what not. My allergy wants to kill me.
  22. They are all fairly common. My mother has a severe allergy to shellfish. My folks were driving back from florida a few years ago, and stopped at a hotel with a restaurant. She ordered cod au gratin (no shellfish), and my dad had steak. About 15 min into their meal, she started having a reaction. They were lucky and had her epipen. Turns out the chef who was preparing her food cut her fish and the next tables scallops with the same knife. Boom. Stabbing herself with the Epipen to reverse the reaction. It can happen that easy. Same with me and wheat now. Worst thing is I only developed this allergy in the past year and a half. I could pound back pizza and burgers with the best of them before. NOPE now.
  23. Yes, the phone link app keeps getting better. I don't have my Flip 5 connected as it's my work phone. I still love my Pixel way more, but the flip is a fun device too.
  24. Hi James. I am very interested in the ProArt 16. How are you liking it? Do you do creative work on it? How's the workflows?
