Ordered my 8gm ram stick 11 days ago, the seller somehow thinks printing a label is the same as shipping, and very unfortunately decides to use the lovely USPS for shipping, first acceptance scan 4 days later at what they like to call a distribution center really a scan, photograph and otherwise snoop facility.

 

Was supposed to be here on the 22nd according to their own website. It's "First Class" Package so you would think it would be on time but this is USPS bizarro logic which seems to make package delivery on time very hard, unlike ups/fedex etc And the "holidays and covid" excuses just don't cut it any more sorry not buying it or drinking the Koolaide, enough of those types in this sinking ship.

 

It's been "in transit" since then, but of course I could pay for more detailed tracking to tell me it's not here, scammers over there. I've had several problems with USPS not doing it's job, this seemed to start with trump, who once owned a money printing enterprise called a casino that somehow went under (probably just a money laundering scheme btw) appointed "dejoy" who is really just a name changer, lots of those in schemes, as USPS CEO.

Where did you order it from? It would be better to buy it from Newegg, Amazon and some other reliable places. USPS is bad but not that bad for a package to take 11 days. I would contact the seller to see what going on.

Already did, got some snotty reply about how they have the same info I do, since they said shipped within 24hrs of payment, which seemed to them to be the same as buying a label online instead of at the post office and thus no tracking scan until 4 days later. After a day, (about day 6 after payment), or so got a full refund, didn't ask for it though. Still sitting in "moving through network" as of now been that way for a few days now. Who knows. I guess I should have went through newegg for better service.

Well as long you got the refund everything should be good. This seller should of at least tell you whats going on. Communication is key when selling things online.

im not very paranoid, but sometimes shit happens.

 

Im being stalked by cab 84 of care cabs in MH alberta. guy is a freeking weirdo....gives me the finger, says my life has an expiry date ect, guy smokes crack. ect. I have never had someone follow me around like this and its giving me the willies. not sure what to do.so yeah this is whats bugging me....being harrassed from someone that wants nothing more than to bother me.

 

aside from one weirdo daryl fischer. all is good up here in canada

Got it 15-16 days after payment, wow terrible stuff, usps has cost me a couple of times in more important circumstances like state licensing documents delivered 2-3 days too late, do it all over again etc. Thankfully works fine dual channel mode and all. Just ordered a second nvme from someone else, they used ups so should be good there.

yeah this guy is freeking weird. hes parked out across the road from me somedays and when i go out on my deck he will drive by. only thing that bothers me is the persistance. he never seems to give up. I put a knife in my van and around my house. he has keys to my building.....ahhh the fun..just keeps me on edge and uncomfotable. police in my town are corrupt also, they help out alot of the druggies. not all of the police but a couple. long story ill save it for later but if i go missing....my name is jordan ryan evans DOB 1984 dec 21 born campbell river bc vancouver island canada. and the police were likely involved....its more of a organized crime situation/drug addicts. very scary

 

my habits are basically coffee and the odd beer, no idea how this type of situation happens

Maybe get out of town go visit friends or relatives for a bit, take a short vacation etc Probably not a good idea to post details like that about yourself here though.

That's pretty creepy..... like others have already said call the police or go to the police station to report the guy. If all else fails you probably have to move for safety reasons

Recently had my G14's screen broken by a kid at school. The kid ordered a new 120hz screen since it was about 3 times cheaper than the stock 60hz one I had. The new 120hz screen uses a 40pin eDP cable instead of a 30pin cable. I ordered a 40pin cable off of ebay and they shipped me the wrong one! It's not even a 40pin cable!

I asked for a return within about an hour of the item being delivered to my house, and the company said that I would not get my money back unless I had this dumb warranty void if removed sticker on the cable, but there was never a warranty sticker on the cable!

I really hope I can get my money back. I just need this damn laptop working and to be shipped the right cable. I'm just tired of ebay being completely dumb and always having to follow the rules and being screwed over in the end. I understand it can look like I could have swapped cables out, but I don't have any leverage since I can't prove I didn't do it. This is just dumb. If only that company would have shipped the right cable; I don't understand how they could have even messed this up this bad...

When sites mislead you in the end. Recently I deleted my photography account because of the imposed limits that were never announced, UI changes that were never announced and more of my photos were "under moderation" for basically forever. In fact, none of this was mentioned. Who ever knew it'd have 200 photo limits for a "lite" account? Then adding NFTs, then giving it that cryptocurrency user interface. Nothing on their blog mentioned this. Forget it, account deleted.

 

There hasn't been any other site to sell them without having to pay monthly for a "pro" account. If a site prohibits me doing something I want to do then I have no desire to really continue it. I don't think I'll hold on my cameras for much longer either. Same goes for my lenses. Probably would get more for that than photos alone.

My Alienware 17 (R1 Ranger) is slowly dying.

 

For about 2 years now the right side USB ports just havent worked, no voltage at all. I tried a new board (usb, rj45 daughter board) but it didn't resolve the issue.

Tonight the left side front usb port stopped recognising USB sticks and portable drives (in windows and BIOS). It will still power the laptop cooler which also has a usb mouse attached. Left side rear port works fine.

 

My Father gave me this pc new shortly before he died, so the sentimental value is great.

USB dropout seems to be a problem on the Rangers 😞

I believe @Reciever's final straw with his was that the USB ports started to drop out. I too have noticed USB dropout while doing some high BCLK overclocks. Everything is fine for me now, but whenever I was initially pushing my 4710mq to get the sweet 741 in CBR15, the USB ports would just not work sometimes.

I hope the ports don't completely die on you; it's a good machine, one that got me into this whole thing...

IIRC when I started a BLCK overclock it killed the daughterboard altogether :( 

What convinced me to get something else was when the screen started flickering. Its also the system that got me into Laptop overclocking/mods generally speaking.
