I think it actually is about 95-100% faster in GPU limited games lol. It’s terrible to say it..But dang that 4090 is crazy fast! Breaking 20K+ in Timespy extreme is just ridiculous. Imagine overclocked AIB cards on water cooling. We may be looking at 4090’s breaking 23-24K stable that can put that down in games. Until a new Gen game releases that makes it look SLOW that is..lol. That 4090 is the real deal from the looks of it. It may just be the largest generational leap there ever was. 1 1 13900KF

However, I imagine the 13900K will overclock and outpace the stock 7950X once the power levels are cranked up, the 13900K is also cheaper though. I have never seen Intel and AMD so closely matched. Where there really isn’t a major downside with either. AMD is actually the more expensive option, and they aren’t the budget choice with any downsides at all. I was able to buy a 13900KF, MSI Unify-X (2) Dimm motherboard, and 32GB DDR5 6000 CL36 for a grand total of $1,105 for everything. The 7950X is awesome. But, I’d be in for wayyy more than $1,105 if I wanted one. yep your choice really depends on what ure focussing on for an upgrade or new build. if ure already on alder lake then its a no brainer since its a simple drop in. if ure the kinda guy who upgrades his platform every 1-2 years anyways, then it doesnt bother u that socket 1700 is a dead one due to last supported gen. on the other hand, if ure looking for a longterm build for multiple dropin cpu upgrades and dont mind the high initial cost then ryzen 7000 all the way. 4 hours ago, Papusan said: I see more games below 90 fps. We have already seen that AMD struggle sell out the new Ryzen AM5 platform due awful value (the full package is more than the Ryzen 7000 chips). The Chip production falls due bad times. And Nvidia still hope that people will pay more than ever for new graphics cards. Also overprice for castrated cards as 4080@12GB that should be labeled the 3070 replacement. Not so sure nvidia will manage to make huge profits on greed this time, if AMD and Intel play their cards well. I don't think people is ready to pay crypto prices for new graphics cards after two years in the dark (due miners, gredy retail, lack of cards and scalpers). We'll see. Maybe Nvidia are able to sell out the first batch cards, but the cards will be in sales 2 years forwards. Maybe nvidia's ceo Jensen have seen the paint on the wall? Mr. Fox
The RTX 4090 is far too expensive even if it does offer double the performance of a 3090. This is abusive Kingpin/HOF overclocking enthusiast niche GPU pricing on belly-button video cards with cancerous firmware made for Joe Blow the gamerboy. They will have gimped performance. And, if they pull more shenanigans like they did last time, there will be a 4090 Ti and you will be stuck with a second fiddle graphics card that you paid more for than it was worth. Even if it were priced appropriately, it would be prudent to wait and see what cards are going to have good water block support and which ones will not. An enthusiast version of any GPU is going to be boost clock impaired and thermally gimped if it relies on air cooling or a hybrid setup. I mean, that’s just an air-cooled RTX4090..It may be good. But, it’s not +$400 premium good. What’s even dumber is, the 3090 Strix air cooled was actually more expensive msrp than the 3090 Kingpin Hybrid. Papusan
More proprietary filthy similar what Dell is known to offer gamer kids is coming to all brands of HW. When is enough enough? From an older Wccftech article - May 24, 2022.... "Such a motherboard design will be useless in existing PC cases which means that Project Zero is going to extend beyond just a cool motherboard design and MSI will offer its own gaming PC case as a part of the DIY Kit. The motherboard with its all-black aesthetics really does more just to the Stealth naming used by Gigabyte & AORUS for their own custom kit". Now a new article pop up about the same filthy but with ASUS in mind..... ASUS DIY-APE Revolution concept improves cable management for Intel and AMD PC motherboards | Oct 1, 2022, ASUS unleashes new DIY-APE Revolution project to improve PC cable management for Intel and AMD motherboards Gigabyte has made its attempt at cable management with its Stealth program while MSI teased its Project Zero, bearing a similar concept of a clutter-free chassis. The company utilizes a combination of graphics cards, additional components, and the motherboard to assist in improving and limiting cord clutter. Gigabyte's design is proprietary to them, so other companies have attempted to improve cable management by their means. ASUS's newest design is more of a collaboration than what we have seen before. Companies such as LIAN LI, SAMA, CoolerMaster, Phanteks, Cougar, and Jonsbo are working with ASUS to create the new DIY-APE Revolution design, which is anticipated to be available for Intel H610, B660, and B760 motherboard compatibilities. However, the company has also talked about working with AMD and its motherboard lines. Of course the chassis makers want to be with them into this journey. I think the direction goes to slimmer and smaller, pretty kute Chassis. 90% + of all chassis sold will be more as Dell's high end gaming flagship Junk. 2 1 "The Killer" ASUS ROG Z790 Apex Encore | 14900KS | 4090 HOF + 20 other graphics cards | 32GB DDR5 | Be Quiet! I don't really care anymore as 95-105 percent bump in raw performance is enough for me to blink twice.....I think im going to get a 4090 egpu setup as the 11800h is still pretty good. 0mg dude....the only thing more crazy than getting a 4090 on launch (look whos talking amirite 😇) is getting it for a frigging egpu setup and pairing it with an 11th gen mobile cpu 😂 1 hour ago, ryan said: thats actually a really good idea....but as for now this is an exciting time and I cant imagine how excited @jaybee83is. he is going to get like 400fps maxed at 8k with crysis lol....yuppers i think we can finally say we ran crysis also i'd like to add they are all sold out lol....kinda like saying im buying a ps5..(year 2030) by the time you can actually buy it they will have a new model out me? excited? dunno what u talkin about... 🤪 2 1 2 Mine: Hyperion "Titan God of Heat, Heavenly Light, Power" (2022-24) AMD Ryzen 9 7950X (TG High Perf. I'm equally interested in RT performance gains too. DLSS can kick rocks for all I care. Compared to your laptop 3060, almost anything in the desktop realm is a massive upgrade 3080 on up. Videocardz said it’s 77.5% faster than a RTX3090. It looks like that leaked RTX4090 Timespy Extreme benchmark that doubled the RTX3090 is obviously overclocked. It did score over 20,000 though. Regardless it’s massively faster. We’re looking at almost 80% going from a RTX3090 to a RTX4090. 13900KF
tps3443
I’m looking at the Corsair DDR5 6600 C32. I’m considering just selling my current set and grabbing these for the 13900KF. Does it make sense to still buy Hynix M-die right now? 13900KF

We’re looking at almost 80% going from a RTX3090 to a RTX4090. When the real results come out you are going to see on average stock for stock (let's say 3090ti FE vs 4090 FE) a 50-70% depending on situation is my estimation. Either way, like I said before, it is a beefy uplift. Massively to me is 2x faster or more which it is not which is usually reserved for every other generation comparison (IE 2000 vs 4000, 1000 vs 3000). Gigabyte has introduced their Waterforce version of the 4090 for a full 360mm AIO based card (non hybrid), but I find myself still liking the MSI Suprim X 4090 AIO hybrid for some reason lol along with the Colorful. Depending on AMD and market conditions, I still feel like the 4090ti is going to be coming sooner than later, but we will see. This time around the TI moniker will pack a serious punch. 1 Electrosoft Alpha: SP109 14900KS | Asrock Z790i Lightning | MSI Suprim X Liquid 4090 | AC LF II 420 | TG 2x16GB 8200 | Samsung 990 Pro 2TB | EVGA 1600w P2 | Phanteks Ethroo Pro | Alienware AW3225QF 32" OLED Ellectrosoft Beta: Eurocom X15 Raptor | i9-12900k | Nvidia RTX 3070ti | Samsung 990 2TB | 15.6" 144hz | Wifi 6E Heath: i9-12900k | EVGA CLC 280 | Asus Strix Z690 D4 | Asus Strix 3080 | 32GB DDR4 2x16GB B-Die 4000 | WD Black SN850 512GB | EVGA DG-77 | Samsung G7 32" 144hz 32" My for sale items on eBay. I picked up a pair of Hynix sticks w/ heatsinks installed from gtz for sub $150 shipped because there is no way I'm dropping crazy money on DDR5 sticks this early in their maturation process. I did the same with DDR4 and DDR3 for the first few years after launch till they hit their stride then paid more. 2 Electrosoft Alpha: SP109 14900KS | Asrock Z790i Lightning | MSI Suprim X Liquid 4090 | AC LF II 420 | TG 2x16GB 8200 | Samsung 990 Pro 2TB | EVGA 1600w P2 | Phanteks Ethroo Pro | Alienware AW3225QF 32" OLED Ellectrosoft Beta: Eurocom X15 Raptor | i9-12900k | Nvidia RTX 3070ti | Samsung 990 2TB | 15.6" 144hz | Wifi 6E Heath: i9-12900k | EVGA CLC 280 | Asus Strix Z690 D4 | Asus Strix 3080 | 32GB DDR4 2x16GB B-Die 4000 | WD Black SN850 512GB | EVGA DG-77 | Samsung G7 32" 144hz 32" My for sale items on eBay. The SK Hynix A-die is way too expensive right now, and the degree to which it would be beneficial is questionable. @tps3443 I would say wait a while. I could not tell any difference in performance with SK Hynix M-die at 6800 versus the Samsung B-die you purchased with the mobo running at 6400. At 6400 and equivalent timings the M-die Hynix and Samsung B-die perform within a margin of error of the same. The only way I could measure a difference at 6800 was with a memory benchmark. I ran some game benchmarks, Cinebench and 3DMark and the difference was not really detectable. In most things the performance of the DDR4-4000 on my Strix D4 matches the performance of my DDR5-6800. I'd say when the A-die price falls to about what we are paying now for M-die it will be worth it at that point. If you are just wanting it for impressive memory benchmarks and don't mind paying a ridiculous amount for the A-die, then by all means do it just for shiggles. I want it for no reason other than the AIDA64 benchmark, but not bad enough that I would be dropping a bunch of money on it for the reasons stated above. The overpriced A-die is a very poor value and there is no bang for the buck at this point. 1 2 Wraith // Z790 Apex | 14900KS | 4090 Suprim X+Byksi Block | 48GB DDR5-8600 | Toughpower GF3 1650W | MO-RA3 360 | Hailea HC-500A || O11D XL EVO Banshee // X870E Carbon | 9950X | 4090 Gaming OC+Alphacool Block | 32GB DDR5-8200 | RM1200x SHIFT | XT45 1080 Nova || Antec C8 Spectre // Z790i Edge | 13900KS | 3090 Ti FTW3 | 32GB DDR5-8200 | RM1000e | EK Nucleus CR360 Direct Die || Prime A21 Half-Breed // Dell Precision 7720 | BGA CPU Filth+MXM Quadro P5000 | 4K Display | Sub-$500 Grade A Refurb | Nothing to Write Home About Mr. Fox YouTube Channel | Mr. Fox @ HWBOT The average response time for a 911 call is 10 minutes.
