More pict of the crocks for bro @electrosoft🙂 And more parts. I can probably build a second setup with what I have now. The new black tubes have same (ID) but thicker (OD). Easier to bend without get kinks in the hose. I also have blank tubes in the drawer, but those is ugly and will destroy the "all black" looks. Not even an option as spare parts. Maybe my older son want it. He enjoy lots of lights (bling bling).

image.thumb.png.9b4aaad6182efbda13fab245ed70b569.png

From what I have read on the web, the Thermalright contact frame won't do much if you have the new EK water block for 1700 socket. But I still ordered it.

image.thumb.png.ceb5e1b4cfe3fd886f832376a6a496c2.png

And yep, there is a difference in inner diameter on different brands fittings that have same diameter (ID) specs. This is the weakest link in the loop together with lots of 90° angle/QDC fittings.

image.thumb.png.b90ee853321e0ab65e0a6a6f8f0ada94.png

I will rather use an 2x45 rotary fitting and replace the 90° angle fittings where it fits. Just sad I had only the black chrome options. Oh'well. But it won't be a big problem as it will be for the top radiators and out of sight.

image.thumb.png.f36ff39c85242f4421b2dde7071e01bb.png

And the bling bling is picked of from the pump. All black bro @Mr. Fox 🙂Probably many that think I go bananas destroying bling bling thaty follow the hardware. Just sad you have to pay more for features I don't want.

Awesome and nice confirmation.

I'm still sitting on a sealed Z690 Classified and those 2x16GB DDR5 M-die sticks I picked up from OCN. I'm too knee deep in Fallout 76 atm to break everything down have something go all cattywampus and I would need another CPU to set up the Classified in my test bench/case.....grrrrr.

Am I talking myself into picking up a 13900k? 🤣

Newegg Listings of Custom RTX 4090 Graphics Cards Indicate Pricing-Sanity Slowly Returning

Techpowerup.com | Today
As with the recent pre-launch listing of 13th Gen Core desktop processors, US retailer Newegg put out listings of various custom-design NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 "Ada" graphics cards, revealing their launch prices. These prices appear close enough to the $1,599 baseline price set by NVIDIA, to conclude that pricing sanity is slowly returning to the graphics card market. A lot will however depend on how the market behaves on October 12, when the RTX 4090 goes on sale; particularly whether scalpers vaporize inventory within minutes. Even if they did, scalpers would only see demand from the niche that actually wants to spend north of $1,600 on a graphics card, there are no crypto-currency miners lining up to buy graphics cards. Especially not after the Ethereum merge.

The ASUS ROG Strix O24G is the most expensive card of the lot, priced at $1,999, or a $400 premium.

Nvidia’s tone-deaf RTX 40-series pricing is a golden opportunity for AMD and Intel

Nvidia's RTX 40-series cards come with a massive sticker shock, and a chance for its competitors to strike back hard.

The RTX4090 is managing 20,200+ in TimeSpy Extreme.

THAT IS BONKERS FAST!!! Because it’s doubling most stock RTX3090’s.

Roughly 64% faster than my “Balls to the wall 3090 Kingpin Hydro Copper”

The 4090 looks to be a solid improvement for sure. I just don’t think I’m ready to deal with the upgrade yet. I just pre-ordered a 13900K, and I’m actually curious to see how that CPU’s handles my current GPU.

I may grab a 4090 Next year around Tax season. How it stands though, my GPU is super fast already and I don’t need a new one. At least with the new 13900K I’m doubling my multithreaded ability.

I do think Nvidia is a disgusting cow if they don’t bring DLSS 3.0 to current Ampere GPU’s. A lot of people waited for months or years to even get a RTX3000 graphics card. And this new DLSS could work on Ampere GPU’s. Nvidia loses nothing by making it backwards compatible on Ampere. And they would just gain ground over AMD.

If Nvidia brought DLSS 3.0 to Ampere, people would love them again. Or at least like them lol. Especially since RTX3090’s have OFA or “Optical flow sensors” and all the other stuff that can handle DLSS 3.0.  C’mon NVIDIA!!

Be at the mercy of Nvidia just mean you all will be screwed. Maybe they will let 3000 series have it but at what costs? It's Nvidia that will dictate how it will perform. And they are the master of tuning drivers for all their "older" graphics cards. At least if we talk about features meant for newest cards. Could be they make it halfway works 🙂 This way, maybe you finaly see that newest gen cards is what you want. More as ads for the new, HaHa

LOOL. nvidia is afraid the new power connector and high power consumption will push buyers over on the Red side's new gen graphics cards (Most likely very comparable graphics cards vs Nvidia 4000 series and at cheaper price). Yep very needed HaHa

The RTX4090 seems to double the RTX3090’s graphics score in Timespy Extreme. Stock vs stock.

10,300 compared to 20,200.

It scores 65% higher than my heavily overclocked 3090 Kingpin on a 1/2hp waterchiller.

But as for good ole stock 3090 FE? Lol. It practically doubles it.

Redoing the tubing on the waterchiller using the proper fittings this time! Bleeding off some air bubbles.

Water flow looks amazing considering it’s only (1) D5, and (1) less powerful D5. I did remove a 90 degree fittings, cut down drastically on excess tubing, and I made the water flow more of a straight shot!

Chiller is cleaned up and ready for another year.

Is it October 20th yet?

I’d think a 4070 mobile or 4080 mobile would tab in to some serious HP! Even if they are gimped down.

The new RTX4080 that cost $1,199 Is throwing down a 50% higher Timespy extreme score compared to a RTX3090FE. That alone is a massive upgrade from even a 3090FE.

This generation has offered some huge gains from the looks of it. I’m thinking even a low power 4070/4080 mobile chip would probably perform at very impressive levels like a 3080 desktop GPU . If you are buying a laptop, I’d save up and go for the top dog available so it’ll last as long as possible being a BGA design most likely.

the 3090Ti does roughly 100 fps at 4K:

Average per-Game FPS FPS 3840x2160

since the 3090 is only a few percent slower id say youd actually be scratching 200 fps at 4K with a 4090 and around 100 fps at 8K 🙂 take this with a grain of salt, of course, since were talking napkin math here 😄

I feel like the stock 13900K is going to easily outperform the 7950X in single threaded and in games etc. However, the stock 13900K is most likely going to be about 4.5% slower than a 7950X in multithreaded performance while maintaining that 250w boost power.

However, I imagine the 13900K will overclock and outpace the stock 7950X once the power levels are cranked up, the 13900K is also cheaper though. I have never seen Intel and AMD so closely matched. Where there really isn’t a major downside with either. AMD is actually the more expensive option, and they aren’t the budget choice with any downsides at all.

I was able to buy a 13900KF, MSI Unify-X (2) Dimm motherboard, and 32GB DDR5 6000 CL36 for a grand total of $1,105 for everything.

The 7950X is awesome. But, I’d be in for wayyy more than $1,105 if I wanted one.

I see more games below 90 fps. The few inflated games that is above 150 fps screw up the whole graph. I would say well below 90 fps 🙂

104fps at 4k is actually nothing to sneeze at thats pretty respectable it would feel smoother at 120hz refresh than 60fps locked...not bad at all and yes your napkin math is correct lol? sorry brother

nvidia screwed up the 4000 series graphics with fake 4080 to increase profits. Should be 4070. Imagine how the OEM and Nvidia will screw up for the laptop-Jockeys?

And maybe Intel will follow up and make it a complete disaser. This if you go with next gen Jokebooks.....

intel is an entirely different beast bro @Papusan....i honestly think the mobile 4080 will be double the 3080 mobile gpu

nvidia has lately been making them castrated but if you take that into effect then it will still be roughly double the performance. I might try to sell my jokebook and hopefully get a 4070-4080 laptop but im rapidly getting tired of laptop downgrades

I have never seen Nvidia offer 100% performance uplift from one gen to the next for mobile graphics. And gone is the days with same nvidia die for desktops and Jokebooks. Nvidia even offer 4080 in two different die's for desktop cards as etc 4080 nowadays. One of them is castrated and should be a differnt lower end SKU.
