So, I got another nice 10900K sample today. My daily driver was 53x core, 50x cache with 1.375V. I set this in the socket and dropped the voltage from 1.375V to 1.300V, pressed F10 and booted to desktop. No other changes, just made that one change.

Passed CBR20 with fliying colors, so I will have fun seeing if I just guessed perfectly on the first try, or I can go  lower. This is no chilled water. KPX paste. First run with no other tweaking or testing. My office is 77.8°F.

Hmm... what, did I get lucky? Dang, I might finally have a reason to be happy about something tech related, LOL. This is liable to be too much fun with bare die on chilled water.

On the other hand, it's a free market and you're able to sell anywhere from a local flea market to a global platform like eBay but everyone wants their cut. You could sell on Amazon but if you think seller rules can be draconian on eBay, Amazon will kick it up a notch for you for shiggles.

One thing that is nice with the largest marketplace for used / new goods from consumers here in Norway. It's free and at no charge, but you have to trust the seller / buyers. Use a credit card and you are pretty safe if you are the buyer. If there are large values in the picture, we recommend physical attendance. I expect Ebay and similar big company want an arm and a leg to help you with safe buy / sell. This market place here home is not a global player like Ebay, but we avoid being charged 25% tax on top of everything due the purchases / sales is within Norway and the purchase/sale is with/from other consumers. If I buy something from Ebay (used or new) and the goods is not here in Norway we get automaticly the dreaded 25% tax on top of everything. Hail Norway.

When a company fail release a yearly refreshed processor. The damn Jokebooks get all attentions.

Based on the data AMD has shared so far, it seems clear that the performance gains from Ryzen 6000 and Zen 3+ are going to be larger at lower power limits. Shaving off half a watt makes a big difference at 15W, but a comparatively small difference at 45W. This is also why Zen 3+ isn’t headed to the desktop as a mid-cycle refresh before Zen 4 arrives.

As much as I love EVGA and their products, I just can't see it being worth that much. Although, my second choice would be an Apex and it's nearly as much. For $100 extra, I would have to think about it. Paying $100 more for something I would prefer rather than settling for something less bears some level of consideration, but prices of anything worth considering is just off-the-rails extremely stupid overpriced right now. Everything is a very poor value.

The final insult? The new reporting threshholds ($20k now reduced to $600) to the IRS making it a PITA to just be a private seller offloading used items you no longer need so now you have to be even more meticulous with record keeping and filing your taxes yearly.

Double-taxation is a growing issue that reflects the high degree of immorality that exists in government; especially so when dimwitted progressive socialism gets its hooks in a country's butt. Sales tax was already paid. Charging it a second time is inappropriate. Income tax was paid. Selling stuff one purchased with after-tax income doesn't produce income. It produces loss. Time to clean house in city, state and Federal governments... long overdue for taking out the trash. Government needs to stick with law enforcement, national security, and border security and butt the hell out of everything else in our lives.

As much as we all hate the E-Cores, I really want to see a Xeon with like 80 E-Cores, The die would be about as big as a Xeon with 20 P-Cores, and the multi-threaded performance could be quite impressive.

You're talking about Finn, right? :)

It is great, and often you can get a really nice deal for something. But sometimes, the prices are also not that different from what you get in a store for a new thing. Plus you don't always find the exact thing you're looking for. So there's always an element of "luck" I would say.
There are similar marketplaces in other countries also, from what I know. Although in Norway, Finn is pretty much a "monopoly" in this space.

I really hate that the government introduced 25% tax on everything outside of the country a couple years ago... Now you need to pay tax on even the smallest amounts. I used to get cheap junk on Aliexpress every once in awhile. Now it usually doesn't make sense to buy there with the added tax.

I would like to add its the 115w 3060 but full fat 11800h however for whatever reason this gpu performs better than a 130w 3060 for most with this model/laptop but the point is its a thin and light turdbook with desktop 3060 and cpu power for 2000 cad dollars. UN-Freekin_believe-able

Thank you. It is an excellent silicon sample. Not as good as the one I had purchased from Brother @Talonthat an unfortunate accident destroyed (still heartbroken over that). I am going to see if chilled water will let me break the 5.7GHz barrier this weekend.

Mr Fox, what can I benchmark any ideas? I want to contribute to this thread but it's for desktop and my laptop is mid-tier. well the i7 11800h is pretty nice and the 3200mhz memory isn't shabby. but I thought about benchmarking my SSD. sigh wish I had the samsung 980 like everyone else

here it is underwhelming gen 4 performance. fast for gen 3 mind you

I got a notification for the Z690 Dark, literally a day later after getting into the queue. I am not sure if I'm lucky or EVGA overestimated the desire for this board. What to do? I have the Z690 Extreme and the Strix-A...and one CPU for them both. I don't need another Z690 board...but it is very tempting. I could sell the Extreme but then I lose that sexy 10G LAN (yes, it is worth it).
