While definitely better that air cooling, aside from the mediocre performance of a GPU AIO compared with a custom loop and full GPU water block, I did not particularly care for the appearance of their hybrids from previous generations. I am glad that I do not want or need a GPU right now, because that is still at least $1,000 more than I believe it is worth. Even though it is a little bit faster stock than a 3090, I am not fully convinced that a 3090 Ti is a upgrade worthy of consideration for anyone that already owns a 3090. Certain aspects of the 3090 Ti seem like a step backward. On a very positive note, now has never been a better time to grab an EVGA Supernova 1600W PSU. I had to remind myself a couple of times I did not need one because $199 is a CRAZY GOOD price for arguably the best PSUs that money can buy. tps3443
Hey everyone, I was notified that I can buy a 3090Ti Kingpin Hybrid from EVGA if anyone is interested. Just figured I’d give someone else an opportunity to buy one. I believe it’s $1,999? I already own a 3090 Kingpin Hydro Copper, so I don’t really have a need for it. Well, let me rephrase that. “I have a need” but, I can’t spend that much to fill the need lol. 😀 Anyways, have a great 4th of July weekend everyone. 3 13900KF

Its one of the MSI versions that doesnt need it (no plug), I think it originally runs 180w but it was a huge pain to make the heatsink for it @DaMafiaGamer was able to make it after some experimentation. Basically the ideal 1080, until you see its off center GPU die, after that we just went full frankenmod and I couldnt be happier, suffice it to say its hardly a laptop anymore. I was looking forward to upgrading it again but 30xx mobile wasnt as compelling, maybe AMD might have something who knows, or if the prices come down after rtx 40xx drops then I might revisit. 1 Telegram / TS3 / Twitter 2700X to 5800X3D upgrade! All the cards that passed my way during the Pandemic and Mining craze the KPE 3090 was easily my favorite. Papusan
Nvidia’s greed have no limits. Yep, 4000 gen cards will show up later in the year but this is done to increase profits. Another consideration in NVIDIA's decision is that the RTX 3080 Ti costs $1,089, leaving less room in the pricing range for the 12GB RTX 3080 to coexist with the Ti and 10GB variants. According to NVIDIA, this means that users may be enticed to pay more for an RTX 3080 Ti instead of a 10GB RTX 3080 because there are no 12GB options. https://www.guru3d.com/news-story/nvidia-seems-to-halt-producing-the-12-gb-rtx-3080.html i hope the market will be flooded with mining cards and that a lot people buy used than newer cards. I got my email for the KPE 3090 Ti, but I decided to skip this one. My FTW3 3090 Ti is a powerhouse, I don't overclock much right now, and 4000 series is on the the very near horizon. Hell I'm not even sure I need a 40 series card since 3090s are already so powerful for all resolutions outside of 4K or 8K gaming. I'll likely grab one just to mess around with it, but for gaming I can't see it being necessary for me. 4 Spoiler The Beast Asus Z790 APEX | Intel i9 13900K | ASUS RTX 4090 Strix OC | 64gb DDR5 7466 CL34 Dual Rank A-Dies | Samsung 990 Pro 2TB | Innocn 4K 160Hz Mini LED HDR1000 | LG 27GN950-B 4K 160Hz | Corsair 170i Elite LCD 420mm AIO | Corsair 7000D | EVGA 1600w T2 Little Beast EVGA Z690 DARK | Intel i9 13900K | Nvidia RTX 4090 FE | 32gb DDR5 SK Hynix DDR5 8000 CL36 A-Dies | Samsung 980 Pro 2TB | LG OLED C1 4K 120Hz G-Sync/FreeSync | Alienware AW2721D 1440p 240Hz G-Sync Ultimate | Corsair 115i Elite 280mm AIO | Lian Li 011 Dynamic | EVGA 1000w P6

Boosted to 2070 gaming and temps never went over 65c. Definitely not quiet though. Uplift was there just not enough to justify the $2k+tax price tag vs my 3080. I'm keeping an eye out on prices and ebay though as they continue to tumble. Problem with the KPE 3090ti is price, no block (for those who wc) and 4000 series right around the corner but the upside is a very limited run (if that's your thing), One of the if not only cards designed with dual power connectors and 100% MLCC poscap design but I can't see it outpacing what is now a $1650 FTW3 3090ti that much in performance (well $1850 w/ PSU). I do wish they had offered it with a T2 instead of P2 at that price. I fully expect the 4090 to smash the 3090ti by at least 30% if not more. 3 Electrosoft Alpha: SP109 14900KS 59/46/50 | Asrock Z790i Lightning | MSI Ventus 3x 4070 Super| AC LF II 420 | TG 2x24GB 8200 | Samsung 990 Pro 2TB | EVGA 1600w P2 | Phanteks Ethroo Pro | Alienware AW3225QF 32" OLED Ellectrosoft Beta: Eurocom X15 Raptor | i9-12900k | Nvidia RTX 3070ti | HyperX 3200 CL20 32GB | Samsung 990 2TB | 15.6" 144hz | Wifi 6E Heath: i9-12900k | EVGA CLC 280 | Asus Strix Z690 D4 | Asus Strix 3080 | 32GB DDR4 2x16GB B-Die 4000 | WD Black SN850 512GB | EVGA DG-77 | Samsung G7 32" 144hz 32" My for sale items on eBay. The temps are just way too high with the stock solder, even running on the chiller. The voltage needs are nice and low. OK, the damage is done. Delidded with liquid metal on both sides of the IHS and NO CHILLER in this test. 55x all P-cores at 1.410V override. I'd call this a major win. Compared with the temps in the above run using the water chiller and KPX thermal paste... yay. Edit: the watts dropped from 403 to 362. 2 1 WRAITH // Z790 Apex | 14900KS | 4090 Suprim X+Byksi Block | 48GB DDR5-8600 | Toughpower 1650W | MO-RA3 360 | Hailea HC-500A || O11D XL EVO (T-Rex) BANSHEE // X870E Carbon | 9950X | 4090 Gaming OC+Alphacool Block | 32GB DDR5-8200 | RM1200x SHIFT | XT45 1080 Nova || Antec C8 (Rhinoceros) SPECTRE // Z790i Edge | 13900KS | 3090 Ti FTW3 | 48GB DDR5-8200 | RM1000e | EK Nucleus CR360 Direct Die || Prime A21 (Rattlesnake) HALF-BREED // Precision 7720 | BGA CPU Filth | 32GB DDR4 | Quadro P5000 | 4K Display | Nothing to Write Home About (Turdbook) Mr. Fox YouTube Channel | Mr. Fox @ HWBOT The average response time for a 911 call is 10 minutes.
