RTX 3080 in M18xR2? Should I do it? lol

That brings back some good memories from a time when laptops were actually worth buying.

 

Nice job. Where did you get an MXM 3080 that fit the GPU heat sink? Any trouble cooling it?

You're doing the thing the industry decided cost them too much money in the long run and colluded to prevent. How dare you upgrade such an old laptop? You are stealing from the losers that want to sell you a new turdbook every couple of years.

The card itself is standard mxm size. Only thing is the die is offset. So I found a seller on ebay who makes custom heatsinks and he made it and sells them. 

 

The M18x cools this thing easily. It's a shame we can't modify vBIOS like the old days. 115w is a joke on this card. it can easily do 150w.

I love it brother. They don't make them like this nowadays. On top the new modern Jokebooks looks a lot uglier due the Apple trend. Enjoy 🙂
