currently enjoying Control, but damn its a HEAVY game to run! fully maxxed out (no upscaling) at 4K with HDR and DLAA and having the native HDR mod installed im averaging 40-60 fps...thats with my 4090 at 3045-3120 mhz on the core and 24+ Gbps (+1525 Mhz) on the vRAM 😂

BUT it looks goooorgeous....and the game itself is actually quite fun, very atmospheric 🙂

Once again I've started too many games and can't seem to stick to one...

- Played through about 70% of Dead Island 2. I love zombie games and had a blast with this one. No idea why I just stopped playing it.

- Started Diablo 4, instant regret after a few hours, unfortunately too late to refund.

- Started Uncharted, fun but didn't stick with it for now. Still during the prologue.

- Starfield, this was the most recent one. After about 30 hours of mainly side stories I sort of didn't feel like firing it up again. I'd like to stick to this one.

On top of all these, now I keep thinking about trying Assassins Creed: Mirage. Not sure yet. May or may not do it.

i have yet to try VR at all. but tbh not really interested, super happy with my current setup, definitely immersive especially with the bigass screen and wearing headphones (a must when u have a baby around hahaha).

but i guess VR is something like high refresh rate monitors: unless you actually EXPERIENCE it, you dont really know what youre missing out on.

Indeed, it's really hard to describe, you need to experience it. I played Alyx first on an old HTC Vive set, with pretty low resolution and it still felt like nothing else out there. After a full game in VR, all other "2D" games felt like going back in the past. It was quite difficult to readjust and start enjoying again games on a monitor.

one more reason for me not to try it anytime soon, wanna stick to my current setup hahaha

Played BG3 somewhat early into Act 1. Set it aside for Starfield, played that for a bit.. just set that aside for AC:Mirage. I'll be finishing AC:M and then maybe jump back to BG3. I'll finish that and do another CP2077 run with all the new patches. By the time I get those done we'll have a bunch of Starfield patches out probably and then I'll finish that.

Yeah, they did a lot of improvement  with level scaling and powers and so on, its easier to go up. You can reach lvl 50 and tier 3 nightmare pretty quick. Also the vampire powers in Season 2 are really well made and the Blood Harvest Event is really good gameplay wise, better then Helltides imo. Also a lot of tweaks here and there, the mount is good now, top up the speed and it doesnt get weird glitches anymore. All in all a good patch , but  i think around season 5 it will get really good, there is still a lot of junk and farming for the right equipment is still a chore, also they need to make some LFG option, for an online game you are really alone most of the time...

I'm back playing a game I really thought I'd never touch. I always liked the idea what Tarkov was but never particularly enjoyed getting constantly killed by high level players, groups or more importantly the huge amount of cheaters that game has.

Until now. By pure randomness I learned about a huge mod which basically turns the game into a proper single player experience. It's called SPT (single player tarkov), it's free and it's awesome. It has everything the regular game has, you have progression, the usual raids, PMCs (bots), quests, everything. Don't get me wrong, it's still not easy, I'm still getting killed a lot, but it feels way more fun to me this way.

Anyway, if you guys want to check it out: https://www.sp-tarkov.com/

You do need to have a legit copy of the game (the mod makes sort of an offline copy when installing).

Tried Diablo 4 over the "free weekend". Must say I'm quite disappointed and can really see why the game has so many negative reviews. It's still kind of fun if you like the genre, but I'm just not getting the proper Diablo feeling out of it. But for the price they're asking for it, even during discounts... not worth it IMO.

Also tried out Grim Dawn (quite similar game to Diablo), which immediately felt way more thought out and interesting, despite being like 6 years old now, or smth.
