Lol guys. It works. It was a BIOS problem. Glad I did a backup of my BIOS. Guys do not mess with Alienware 2011-2014 BIOSes! I'll use XTU for changing TDP. If you want a clean BIOS backup or an unlocked BIOS backup to unbrick your laptop using SOIC8 flash, private message me!

Removed RAM = 2 beeps Removed CPU = 7 beeps Replaced the CPU with the original i7 4700MQ in hope to disable extreme edition, still the same blackscreen. But when I remove the CMOS battery, it doesn't beep 5 times, what?

Hello. I got a new CPU, intel core i7 4930MX. It booted fine then I went to the BIOS and set the Extreme Edition to enabled. I didn't play with the frequency, I just set for long TDP 50W and short 65W. I don't understand why it doesn't boot, it just lights up, HDD spins but nothing on screen. I tried to reset the CMOS, by pressing the power button for 30 seconds. Help please.

Not even a call from the delivery company? Also does your X-VSION RTX 3080 work on M18X R2? I read the topic of yours but I see no results. RTX A3000 60W works on M18X R2 and so in AW 18 R1. I need the 130W variant too

I think there's something about UEFI for the BIOS. Most Ampere VBIOS and all Ada won't work on Alienware M17X R4 and M18X R2. For example, X-VSION Ampere work but not Aetina ones. -

Okay remember I was about to buy an RTX 3080 MXM. It's been ONE week and I still haven't got a single tracking number for it... Are they gonna scam me on this one too? Let's see. To be honest they only help when you are filling a dispute thru PayPal. Only pay with PayPal when they only accept bank as an online payment.

Hello. It has a different PCIE ID but the same GA104 die. I tried to flash a 130W VBIOS from techpowerup but it didn't work. GPU not being detected so I had to revert back to the original working 60W VBIOS.

Oh that shield. I transferred it to the new motherboard. My CPU isn't overheating. The thermal pad for the chipset is not dry but had some dust around it.

Hello! Got the motherboard and it works very well! RGB finally works, status LED too The Quadro K3100M doesn't work anymore:( the die gets hot but it's not detected... I took my GTX 680M from the M18X R2 and put it in there. (GTX 680M SLI sucks anyways, even one GTX 680M is more efficient!) In conclusion, if you have the same issue as me, you have to swap your motherboard.

Hello. It worked for the original 100W for the RTX A3000 (same die and Vram placements), so why not on this custom heatsink that's made to support and cool well the GTX 1070 MXM (120W-125W)

This heatsink has a bigger coverage than the original 100W heatsink, so no problem on that. Also I just need to trim the heatsink fins to make it fit. No need to redo the mounts.

Well it can cool 2/3 of the VRAM. I can just put some thermal pad on the 1/3 that aren't covered with a heatsink. I did make my RTX A3000 MXM fit for the 100W heatsink (left VRAM wasn't present on this 12GB model)

Hey people. I ordered the RTX 3080 "130W TDP" from X-VSION again. Is this cooler good for 130W? It's designed for GTX 1070 MXM I'll use it on the M18X R2 instead

So the chipset? Well I don't have time to do some BGA works (no skills). Just ordered a motherboard for 110€ and I'll see how it goes.

Hello. Yes. 1080MHz to be exact for 130W* There's also a 90W version but mine is 60W while the seller told me it's indeed the 130W max TDP. Nvidia panel and GPU-Z are stating max 60W. Sadly there are no compatible VBIOS I can flash without bricking. I can't just use any vendors VBIOS since they probably have a different UEFI partition.
