I have a X85J 55in LED tv and an old 3d lg 1080p tv and along with my omen 16 all my displays except my s21 ultra was non oled. I wasn't too motivated to switch to oled but saw a deal at london drugs on a vivobook 15x oled laptop for 650 and thought about it for a while, bought the laptop and was so impressed my next two purchases were a 55 lg b2 oled tv and a zenbook, I wanted to return the zenbook as batterylife on the vivobook was better and that was the whole point for me. now im torn, its nice just turning on my x85j and not worrying about burn in but I have tortured my B2 and have 0 issues with burn in thus far, in the end though oled is impressive enough for me and many others that once you go oled you will never want anything else even after you get used to using it and the wow factor fades. I don't really think its worth the switch if your not watching movies or gaming, but if you are its a pretty big jump, as for miniled thats another story -
But your ok now? Place was quiet without you here. @Etern4l hasn't posted in weeks. Hoping he's OK. Did you end up finding the reason like celiac.? Chrons?

@Papusan bro what happened to you? Are you ok It's out of character for you to post anything shy of 2nd place. As far as benching goes you are technically number 1 as the others likely get the special treatment with super bins. I know this from an interview with biso biso. They basically cheat by getting a golden carpet -
heaven-248.4 valley-184.9 screen shot function not working windows 10 better cpu score windows 11 better gpu score enabling rebar in the settings of nvidia profile inspector and must be done this way will improve scores. see guide thread

I liked your firestrike score, 34k not bad. Your temps after the mod though. 58c average egads. seriously nice temps. Im using PTM 7950 and gt500 cooler and hit 70c. might be time for me to clear out dust now. temps have been slowly going up. I think they were peaking at 58c before with an undervolt and underclock, cant seem to recreate it. I scored 111 000 on night raid with my 3060 so im not sure why yours peaked at 108 but it has to be cpu bottlenecked. in most benchmarks and games though its unlikely you will be bottlenecked. what do you get in Valley and heaven? 1080p maxed

looks like the osoyoos desert. parents live in a arizona like desert, nice too look at poor to live their. gets to hot, north of 42c. I live in one of the most boring bland place in canada, canada is known for its beautiful scenery and honestly theirs not much to say about medicine hat, easily takes the cake for being a slow thinking slow going city with no variety. those were the pros now onto the cons lol. @talon is their a way to bump ram performance or speed without a bios mod, I fluked out that the 140w bios didn't wreck my system after 1 year but I feel uncomfortable modding things for ram. if there is let me know. got my highest gpu score in time spy, hard to beileve a year or so ago I was getting 9200 thinking I really pushed my system, but with drivers/os/tweaking its managed to easily break 9700 gpu in timespy. been gaming a bit more often into grid legends, mindless fun racing around gets my mind off the stress. firestrike is up also, im now a few hundred points in gpu score from top spot, rest is up to a draw and luck. -
I wondered why you were gone, so glad your ok and doing better. thank god. I will pray for you buddy. I know people are going through alot and its a part of life but dang can it be hard sometimes. welcome back 🙂

can recreate 9700-9900 with timespy using windows 11. best scores iv'e ever been able to get. Im not sure if its the fastest omen 16 with 11800h or any cpu for that matter but im happy with the results. using the laptop as a laptop at 1080p im getting over 60 in most new games and high 120 framerates in slightly older games even better -
personally I don't care about noise as I can turn up the music volume or use headphones. temps/performance is all I care about. the Iets gt500 really does drop it by 10c I have tested numerous times and it seems to be recreatable by 13c with fans off and then on. simple test and results were very consistant. either way the llano is also good as it has the same design from what I recall, could be wrong but they both likely have similar performance. And the big determining factor of laptop temps at least for me is ambient temps. when I open my window im around 65c when its closed get 80c.

Reserved. heres with just control panel and nvidia profile inspector tweaks/will post settings used before after these are the optimal settings and should give the equivalent of a 60mhz overclock This is tweaked setting no overclock, its higher than 99 percent of peoples score while overclocked. so this can make a pretty significant difference

Since alot of us are gamers/benchmarkers why not pool the data into a guide. I will be building this guide for the next couple weeks adding a bit here and there. I will be showing which services can be turned to off granted it doesn't interfere with gaming and benchmarking, but if you care about other functionality like teams/skype ect this is not the thread for you. Anyone with one or two tweaks feel free to post and I'll add it to the guide, hopefully we can get more people interested. Here is a list of services that can be safely turned off(set to stop/manual or disabled). new ones added daily Here is a list of services that must be enabled for gaming/benchmarking and general functionality. new ones added hopefully less often haha List and links to programs that are low impact and useful for things from undervolting/overclocking/and RGB lights 1) Throttle stop/ Download ThrottleStop 9.6 | TechPowerUp 2) MSI Afterburner/ Afterburner (msi.com) 3) Nvidia Profile Inspector/ Releases · Orbmu2k/nvidiaProfileInspector (github.com) 4) Open RGB/ OpenRGB 5) ESO Download Easy Service Optimizer v1.2 (sordum.org) keep note if you want rgb light and omen control panel/amoury crate ect that will add to the amount of processes needed. but I say set it up how you like it then turn it off.

iets GT 500 now theres a quieter gt625. it will drop temps by 10-15c so thats going to help for sure, but it is pricey. I have the GT500 and its pretty loud, have to crank my music and I still hear it.

I reinstalled windows, set up everything. locked in deepfreeze and now when I overclock with performance settings instead of 9900 im getting 9100 and 9000 on gpu and 11500 on cpu. no idea why, but overclocking is doing very little and stock is lower. anyone have a troubleshooting idea? should I just reinstall windows? decent far cry 6 performance 4k/high-----50fps

@6730b maybe It's just me but don't you find it odd in a dumb guy kinda way the songs called we r going to eat you? If you have low intelligence you would say that, if you had high intelligence you would say nothing..it has been said. Im not super smart or anything but it sounds like a peyote trip, or brain damage.

came in 2nd in night raid..pretty hard to do with a popular card like a 3060, but lady luck was on my side that day, gpu overclocked 20mhz higher than normal
-
I averaged 86 in the same benchmark DLSS off. it finished saying average 0, not sure why some glitch. But I don't think its a bad framerate, easily a locked 1440p 60, but I think i'd rather do 4k/60 on all medium.

just bought assetto and horizon zero dawn...30 quid in total. asseto looks good just waiting on horizon. ratchet and clank is on sale at cdkeys.com for 47 so I might pick that up..50 percent off

well its coming soon enough, slightly before gta 6. 4th Q of 2024 so not a long wait, and even if the leaks are wrong im sure its going to be a worthwhile upgrade for you guys and for me, monster level upgrade from my 3060. 5years because I bought mid range 3 years ago and its still going strong at 1080p which was the target, and it will last another 3 years at 1080p. if I get the 5090 and the target is 4k/60 LOW then I really do see it lasting as long as the 1080ti did. alot of people don't care about ultra settings so long as textures are cranked up and with the 32gb of vram and talks of turning ssds into vram I think it will be safe. Im getting a pretty good chunk of money for whiplash and a concussion, just have to do physiotherapy for a year. So im likely going to be spending 5k but I don't want to comprimise on ram/MB/GFX/cpu I will be getting the highest end and it will be interesting benchmarking in the hardware space of desktops. If its anything like laptops it should be fun. -
Finally Purchased the new asseto comp--. 14 quid but great reviews and @Reciever recommended it(thanks) so it was a no brainer. will report if I like it, as racing games are my fortay
-
finally have my laptop setup the way it should be, getting 9100 stock no tweaks except for control panel tweaks. pretty happy with results
-
ahh man im so jealous, wish I had your setup. Also how is ratchet and clank I heard it looks amazing on oleds and mini led monitors/tvs. I might pick it up but im on the fence. I think it got a 9/10 rating from ign but haven't heard anything about fun factor.

about 12 sources are saying the 5090 will likely be a 1.7x or 77 percent uplift. if the accuracy turns out, its pretty exciting news, thats a pretty big bump with its supposed 24 000 cuda cores and gddr7. if it does end up being 70 percent faster and I buy one then I will definately be good for 4k gaming for about 5 years and that is worth the 2k price, but price wise no one really knows but I expect the typical you get more but you pay more pricing. -
whats bothering me? My neighbour across from my apt was yelling and drunk....police showed up at my door, they asked if I had anyone to talk to? confusing conversation like I was sleeping? why would I need to be involved all this, and a few hours ago my 64 yearold father had a stroke. im feeling pretty nervous and sick thinking about this. I pray hes ok. man life can be hard sometimes
-
@jaybee83 I don't mean to be rude bro but wheres the updates lol. your system is in god like territory and no ones saying anything. games? what games are you playing find any good benchmarks?
