  1. I have AMD laptops and INtel laptops, and I have to agree, Im having a better experience with my AMD laptops. Similar performance better gaming performance with the igpu and much longer battery life. 2 hours longer on similar oled laptops. also I managed to get a RAX43 for geforce now and the results are good, I know this is the future, in a few years everything will be subscription including windows 12 I just see it going this way their is already talks of this and with windows 11 they are almost forcing you to get 365 like you install windows and you are basically forced to login to your gmail or outlook account and then offer after offer thrown at you much the same way malware infested apps function. Windows 12 May Require a Subscription | PCMag it is likely 12 will be a free upgrade but the fact subscription based OS is even a possibility is really depressing
  2. concerning the Zenbook 14 OLED little update, no one seems interested even though for general use and light gaming the laptop is utterly incredible. With a fresh install of windows and no tweaks all stock settings im still getting 9-10 hours web browsing/video/music battery life. I have never heard of this before, typically when people are claiming over 10 hours they are highly tweaked and doing extremely un demanding tasks like word or 90 percent usage being idle with screen almost off at 150nits.
  3. I increased the A and it didnt improve performance, for some reason going from 15w-25w I see a decent jump but going to 38-48w I see nothing 0 gains even while increasing amps. its possible i need an older version of the app, are their alternatives that actually work unlike AATU
  4. hello ladies and gents, just wondering if you could help me find a legitimate seller of the phase change pads, Im looking for the official version to try out as my laptop is getting toasty even with the iets gt500 99c with 4.2ghz basically stock and a decent load, and even after undervolting. im really excited about the pads but i dont trust ebuy
  5. I managed to get 1500mbs download and 160 upload but I can't connect to the 6ghz network anymore. 700-900 it is. I can live with that its still extremely fast
  6. you could look at the zenbook 15 oled (bit out of budget) or the vivobook 15x oled which can be found under 1000 cad. I have a vivobook 15x oled and the display is incredible, great keyboard, great batterylife, fast with its 12th gen i5.
  7. honestly their is not much you can do with them, either save them for a future build or a ram disk, ram isn't really useful for much else they are not as robust as ssds. you could sell!!
  8. in the end I bought a RAX43 router for zippy wifi, and a half years worth of geforce now. so far so good its quite good, only artifacts once on a blue moon. Also I likely wont need to buy a claw as I have 2 laptops that have thunderbolt 4, my main rig has thunderbolt. EGPU enclocsures are fairly cheap then buying the gpu would be extremely cost effective as every other component i don't need could go towards savings. Claw looks interesting thanks for the recommendations. also if you guys have good internet i'd say geforce now is going to be tough to beat, just make sure you do the free connection test and your ping is under 30ms, mine is around 40ms and you can feel it slightly but once it dips to 30ms its unnoticeable

Was a good video. I can't help but respect elon for what he's done with his life. I myself have wasted 39 years
  10. Oh nice yeah I might be getting an injury settlement from my accident. Either buying a car or leaving the country
  11. Keep in mind my zenbook supposedly gets 22 hours but they are disabling everything lowering brightness to unusable levels and doing next to nothing like looping a 720p video. I get 12 hours of low brightness web browsing so the Dell will likely see 10 hours under ideal conditions 50 percent brightness and constant wifi loading of video.music.pages.
  12. So my screenshot function is not working so I guess you will have to take my word for it so ill start Ping-- 14ms Ping down-- 29ms Ping up-- 15ms download--1536.33 upload--161.53 wifi--5 and 6 alberta canada (shaw)

@Etern4l I was given time off to recover but I had a few questions. You seem to have knowledge in alot of different topics, what do you think about the recent discoveries of giant galaxies that should not exist given their age in the universe and the lack of red shift, JWST has basically debunked theories on when the big bang happened, pushing the universes birth back a few billion years?
  14. And with an overclock and into 2070 territory. It gets a score of 95 percent and can run 958/1000 games, so Im def good to go, no need for an upgrade. https://www.pcgamebenchmark.com/ratemypc?platform=windows&cpu=intel-core-i7-11800h&memory=64gb&gpu=nvidia-geforce-rtx-2070
  15. I have to agree, When searching for a SSD in 2024 the higher the storage so long as gen 3 and a brand you have heard before is a buy granted the price is right. but into the nitty gritty yes its a great drive, also look into the teamgroup ssds, they are a great bargain.
  16. how do i change current limits and what value>?
  17. thanks, 48w seems to be the max found info on notebookcheck. I run stock and get 1400 in timespy with the TDP set to 35w I get 1450, am I doing something wrong I just set all three tdps to 35w in ryzen controller, I thought it was as simple as that per youtube tutorials I just need like 20 percent bump Im apprehensive about changing voltage, any safe suggestions
  18. @seanwee I have been using intel for as long as I can remember. Im new to overclocking via TDP increasing with ryzen controller I was wondering if you could be a gentleman and help me get the most from my zenbook. I have it set to 30watts up from the 15w and the performance gains over stock are basically non existant wheras people on youtube are showing 30 percent gains by changing TDP. perhaps im thermally limited but I was wondering with the 5825u what a safe tdp setting is?
  19. Any vega benchers here? Been fiddling with ryzen controller trying to find out the max tdp of the ryzen 7 5825u. Anyone know?
  20. it definetly seems interesting. is it the one with the two full sized screens and detachable keyboard? I am loving my new vivobook and zenbook, they are just excellent computers. if they had a 4060 or 4070 they would be hard to top.
  21. I was thinking the same thing, Like I want a 4090 but it has a 4090 price tag, no bargain...you get more but pay more, if you want a beast and the highest performance its clear the 7900xtx is no match but your paying more. ngreedia is treating gpus like automobiles now. no such thing as fair trade anymore not like anything has changed, I was thrown back about the video I stumbled across that shows how much profits these companies are making on things like iphones ect. to make a iphone all costs in on average is 10 bucks. so are they trying to double the income and these smaller companies are they less greedy. they are selling a 10 dollar cookie for 1500 and people are buying them like they were touched by mary poppins
  22. month old now but im really liking my zenbook 14 oled with the geforce now sub. covers all bases, great battery life and 4080 power for my fav games
  23. sketchy...thought it was mainly profits for the people pushing them. a cut to earn. I think with the lack of games to play that are actually not looking like games made in 2013 are slim to none, well actually none...crysis 3 still has graphics matching games released in 2024. sniper elite 5 looks great but the overall look still looks extremely fake, with the power we have tech wise Im not sure why we dont see ph0to realism
