if you blow up the images you get a better idea. but yes I guess its not a accurate comparison but it does look good neverless. 8gb? I wish my 3060 was 8gb its a paltry 6gb and usually only low textures fly. also got my BE200 wifi adaptor. 6ghz band showed up with default settings nothing changed, just installed drivers and 6ghz band is showing. I guess ill be buying 3 more of them. does 5800mbps theoretically. -
yeah its slowly going up. yesterday after applying the PTM7950 my temps were incredible, overclocked they were peaking in the upper 60s and now they are hitting 94c on cpu and 70c on gpu mind you thats at 4.6ghz and 160/300. also worth noting many other people with the 3060 and 12700h or 11800h are hitting higher scores but their ram speed is faster and my omens ram speed is locked down unless someone knows how to get into the advanced bios. so 9749 overclocked with decent temps 80c-- stock no overclocking on cpu or gpu nothing changed. very very good results and beats most overclocked 3060s in the omen 16 thanks to the 140w vbios. this is my old overclocked result.(115w)

yeah I use it for my ultra books, at 1080p-1440p its good for 4k your going to want pretty good internet. I upgraded to internet 1.5gig and switched to shaw for better ping, the results are that it does look better but still not quite native looking. I dont mind playing on my tv in the living room it looks great but in my bedroom up close on my oled it still looks blotchy sometimes. If I had a A770 or 3060ti i'd be set my 3060 is getting weak in the knees im having troubles getting a solid 60fps but thanks to this PTM7950 im able to run overclocks with good temps, brought up my frames 10fps. Im playing grid legends at the moment and with 4k ultra its around 50-90fps it swings pretty hard especially when its raining in the game. heres something cool I tried recreating exact images one is geforce now ultra high one is my 3060 ultra high see if you can spot which is just a 4080 and video...note this is not common for geforce now as most people wont have 1.5gig internet and great ping as well as a good router. -
why don't they just shoot them, jesus they act as though its tough to solve this problem. as bro pointed out its hard to be a trouble maker when your dead.. side note: Why me?what exactly did I do as apparently im suffering from amnesia.

I regret not going desktop when i had the money. only issues I have now are connecting to 6ghz wifi so that geforce now works better. no articles that I can find on google and no one seems to know. -

its alot harder holding off then most think. This is the first time since buying laptops in a long while I skipped a generation. usually 30-40 percent uplift is all I want. the 5090 is going to be crazy fast for 4k/144 gaming. I can see it running everything at 4k high refresh rate and who knows what AI feature they will add this time, frame gen was pretty big, it doubled framerates at very little visual loss -
nice thats good, I wonder how the paste compares to the pads? Waiting on my ram and wifi card. hopefully I can connect to the 6ghz band. no luck with a ax210 and mt7922

nice score. good work just got my highest port royale I have msi afterburner starting minimized at start up and defualt clocks are cool as ice. heres my cold boot performance no tweaks just set and go

nice..that chip doesn't seem to wanna give in. nice scores cinebench r23(?) @Mr. Fox @Rage Set you guys should really check it out even for your air cooled desktops that is if you have them, you guys are always talking about water cooled. Its hard to say how much was dust temps and how much the paste helped but to throw this out there...i was getting 55c with vsync on without the ptm and now without vsync i see same temps with overclocks/undervolting. basically it has to be doing something because its never been this cool dust or no dust -
if I were you id just bite the B and buy PTM7950 it does miracles. just bought my first wifi 7 card for my vivobook so far its getting the upgrades: 1tb sn850x over the standard 512gb 24gb ddr4 vs 8gb stock be200 wifi 7 over the stock 201ax wifi 6 card total cost: 220 laptop gain in net worth lol 0 people wont buy it for more with upgrades but hey still nice to upgrade.

finally. what felt like forever, finally able to max my system without temperature or power limit contraints. heres the end result yep my highest in two years, feels good to finally see what this baby can do. its not a huge difference but 100 more on gpu and 1500 more on cpu Id say the 35 bucks was worth it and even with 4,6ghz its still peaking at only 87c. -

well said, if it matters for what its worth, I have been using it basically as a desktop for 2 years now, I think ok like 2 times I used it as a laptop so theres that. I personally don't have a need for computers(just like gaming with them) but since I use them I value portability but yes the fact they are all bga now is pathetic if people want upgradability but it costs you 0.1 percent profit 10 times out of ten it will be removed. but its the same companies that make laptops as desktops and in one way shape or form the same companies we hated for laptop jankiness we are supporting in other areas like msi. exceptions like evga but look at what happened to them. I have troubles letting go of the past and live in the past a bit, I remember getting my first dedicated graphics laptop with the 2600hd and it was amazing at the time for my needs, sure their was the 8800gtx but seeing crysis on such a compact form when consoles were years behind was pretty great and felt good knowing I was getting a better expereince than most it was a special moment first booting up crysis -

im the exact opposite. I had a desktop when I was younger, always wanted a laptop. bought my first laptop and never looked back until recently when I was thinking why spend 5000 on a 4090 laptop when I could buy the same 4090 but desktop level setup for 5000. well im not spending 5000 I drew the line, computers are utilites and are utilised for personal enjoyment and work, since I don't work it's mainly for benching/gaming/consumption. I really am rare when it comes to uses of computers as most of you guys work or do more on them then play games. I like laptops for one reason and one reason only. I can use them as desktops hooked up to a monitor/tv and when i want to move to a couch just unplug and away I go. desktop would be my choice if I didn't have anxiety and the constant need to change surroundings. another thing if I want to say go to a local coffee shop and surf i can take my non flashing punch a baby in the mouth rgb zenbook. its professional looking and smaller. you guys mention not going the laptop route which most of us on NBR started with but why the change? -
What's on my mind? Ptm7950 why did I wait to try it. It's miracle stuff from a leprechaun. I can finally after 2 years just boot and play without tweaking and not have to worry about temps
-
Lol. I'm subbed..are you saying your coming out? Cause if you are you might want to get ready

looks like your running water. any pros and cons over car coolant. do you guys have laptops still and do you ever use them? -
nice.. had no idea you guys even had health care plans. I just installed the paste, its making a big difference with the de dusting and janky laptop paste job....hands got shaky. before underclocked i was getting 74c after 10 min of gaming on cpu and gpu, and....57c i cant remember if i had vsync on so the temps coulda been higher but worst case 57 vs 74 is 17c difference, pretty huge difference de dusting and ptm 7950 makes a big difference. heres the example
-
you might need to goto the clevo sub forums and ask there as you might need a custom bios. nice score by the way/ you might be able to break 11 000 with atlas OS

Bro I was so shaky..wrecked the pad install..testing now 89c 4.2ghz Even with the pads poorly installed my temp drop is 8-15c that's in cinebench and I heard the pads get better with time not a world record but hey its good for my system 13380- It didn't thermal throttle yeaaa. so it def worked, terrible install and still lowered temps. im guessing in actual benchmarking senerios they only drop temps by 4c but you can't complain its still 4c. I don't think ive ever seen my system max at 70c on cpu and gpu with an overclock and vsync off running max settings. I ran a bench run of time spy and temps maxed at a pretty low temp. not used to this, and now I can run games without worrying about it shutting down as I feel more comfortable at 70c than 89c. heres what game was getting after 20 min. overclocked mind you. this is now taking the crown over IC Diamond for me. liquid metal performance without the risk Currently running a time spy stress test I think it's 20min. I have my highest capable overclock and cpu power limits at 4.2ghz so running 4.1 ghz....will be interesting to see results. This all with a broken gpu fan. If the fan spun I'm sure it would lower temps 1 to 2c lower. Iets gt500 is powerful so cleaning the vents could be why I'm seeing idle temps of 27c and 4k video temps of 30c..lol..it actually made me laugh because the results topped what I figured was reasonable turned off the cooler during stress test and temps slowly went north of 80 once it hit 85c I turned on cooler and temps lowered to 72c so I guess with simple reasoning the max temps with cooler is 72c and with a 155/300 overclock. cpu wasn't really stressed but topped out at 72c also. will run cinebench at 4.1ghz hopefully I can get a better score. was hoping for 14k-16k/ yep looks like im power throttling, tried 4.3ghz and no luck, best score so far 13 578 I don't remember what my top timespy score was but this is pushing it. I think I broke 9500 gpu a few times but never broke 11k and 9500. I think with 3200mhz ram and 11800h/3060 its the top spot for the hardware -
should be getting my stuff anytime now. 16gb stick of ram mixed with 8gb should be good. and hopefully the ptm works doesn't look like it will be 10c-20c drop but 5c ill take
-
thanks @raptorddd and @Eban. Yeah fortunately Im doing ok. little sore but hey could be worse, the compensation is nice as I realize not all countries do this, like in mexico if you get hurt, well you get hurt thats it. lucky to live in canada. im so bored right now just running 3dmark having a coffee waiting on my amazon orders, see if these electric dusters are any good, claims 160 000 rpm and they are dirt cheap. if its any good ill let you know.
-
My new stock Stock settings with overclock 155/300 and lastly tweaked settings like performance filtering and Anso turned off not the best but ina few hours hopefully after applying the PTM7950 I will be able to re-break some records especially with cpu

yeah on NBT here A few people were seeing pretty good temps, I personally have doubts but after a few youtube reviews it's looking promising. I think the main thing will be when I get the duster to clean the excess dust. As for the fan If cleaning the dust doesn't help I guess I'll have to pop-in a new fan. Laptop did an amazing job for 2 years pity the fan isn't spinning.
