btw guys, ive been keeping an eye on this 4090 overview spreadsheet lately and it seems like the Neptune watercooled card might have an interesting vbios installed: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1TGs72-RQTZkMBbKyoA8K3eqHrizlVxpjMWAOQlHsRBY/htmlview it supposedly sports 630W stock spec, so maxxed out could come close to 700W or more. admittedly, the spreadsheet is not complete and some of the listed specs are a bit vague, but i take any info i can get 🙂 -

true, MSI has proven they got what it takes if they set their sights on it to design a proper white book with dtr features. for my lady the most important thing was longevity and serviceability. since im her tech support the NH55 was the best option to ensure long lasting upgradeability. as for the bga gpu shell not care since it already provides moooooore than enough juice for her usage cases. as for me, well, Batman is currently serving its last few days and Hyperion the BEAST will soon take over 😁 speaking of which, i should update my sig soon haha

aaand it arrived a few days ago, very sleek design and not as small as i worried it might feel after having used the 7.2 inch behemoth mate 20 x for so long. havent gotten around to set it up yet but looking forward! also got two cases from spigen, very high quality and good feel as usual from them. btw since i pre ordered i also got the new pixel watch in LTE flavour for free, be on the lookout for that in the marketplace since im not planning to keep it 😋 -
haha no worries mate, its all in good fun. tbh, between us, dont let my lady hear that, i would personally not buy such a machine either... 😅 and yep AMD has no interest in such a DTR machine because their limited resourcee make them focus more on where the money is, i.e. hardware for the masses.

interesting article (in german, but ull catch the drift), where the 4090 is paired with various psus ranging 650 to 1650W. i dont have the hard data yet on the tx-1600 out of my own experience, but if a measly 650W psu can provide up to 550W to the 4090 and run (mostly) stable then the tx-1600 should sure as HECK be able to provide 600W or even more 😂 whatever the case may be, ill let u guys know what i find. if it turns out i was wrong ill be the first to throw the psu in the trash and switch 😋
-
ah dont mix up the 8 pin connectors on the gpu side with those on the psu side, different stuff. the included cables are indeed rated for 600W, they even print that on the cables themselves 😄 unfortunately still a lot of misinformation going around with the 12VHPWR cables... if u look at the native psu cables from any manufacturer, theyre all with 2x8 pin on the psu side. only the non-native adapters differ in their config with either 3 or 4 8 pins on the gpu side the only thing the TX-1600 doesnt support is the full atx 3.0 spec with regards to transient power spikes. but since the 4090 has been shown to have a flatter power profile than the 3090 ti were good in that aspect. edit: to clarify a bit on this cuz i think were focussing on slightly different stuff - within the atx 3.0 spec and its 2x-3x transient spikes with regards to the "regular" max wattage rating, the tx-1600 is indeed only rated up to 1000W for atx 3.0, which translates into max. 450W for the gpu. BUT, this is specifically WITH those 2x-3x transient spikes included. if we leave those out then ure still good for 600W+ as with any other high wattage sub atx 3.0 psu. in addition: its actually not possible for the cables to be rated and configured for 600W and the psu to draw less. the sense pins in the 12VHPWR cable determine the wattage thats allowed to go into the gpu. so if the cable is 600W, then thats what the gpu will get.

99.9 Wh battery pls 😁😋 im still in touch with our unicorn wiz to check and see if we can port RPL support to our system. any highend desktop cpu will do, pls and thank you 😁 yep u guys are right, lemme throw it out with the trash, disgusting piece of....nah, i still like it cuz NOTHING ELSE TO CHOOSE FROM 😅

TX-1600 FTW. it basically matches the AX1600i's efficiency which is very very very hard, even nowadays, but comes with updated 12VHPWR cables (they include two) and highest industry warranty at 12 years. there are some reviews out by kitguru and hardwarebusters / tomshardware. havent had it for long yet but quite impressed with build quality. also what kinda horror stories do u mean for the AX1600i? it was initially my first choice before the 12VHPWR cables became a thing and the TX-1600 was released recently.

wth guys, i leave u alone for a day and this thread explodes! ok, post replies roundhouse kick style, here we go... amazing job on the cleanup! how long has it been in use and what cleaning agents did u use? any detergents or special brushes? really not sure what to think of all the recent contradictory 4090Ti / Titan class card rumours... i dont like this increasing trend of more and more ultra specialized benchmarks. i mean, i dont want smth stupidly universal like user bench, but at least do a 3in1 bench for gpu, cpu and ram as the main perf. impacting components ffs. we dont need 50 different benches for every little niche. this is the kinda stuff that is tedious to do but also super fun and rewarding when seeing the results in both visuals and actual performance of the part 🙂 good job! thats just messed up. why not cover it with the same warranty as the main psu and at least give it out for free to recent psu buyers? i.e. thats what seasonic did, so kudos to them! yeah like who tf came up with the stupid idea to put the power connector there... at least offer right angle connector! but im hearing smth is actually in the works in that regard. word. buy the second one in white pls with extra integrated RGB 🤣 yeah unfortunately at least for now were limited to 600W. but so far it seems were less power and more voltage limited isnt it? at least from the user reports ive seen, a bit different vs. the 30 series. as for a potential 4090Ti really not sure how close it might be, if at all...its a gamble. woa wait, is that a double 12 pin cable?! 😲 but wait again, no sense pins? im confused... oooh is that the 3090 ti style 12 pin connector without the sense pins? as mentioned above the Ti(tan) class card is quite confusing to me atm with those rumours flying around. curious to see how it turns out. only thing i know for sure is that even at 20% it wouldnt rub me the wrong way with my 4090, its a winner either way. if even OGs like @johnksss are impressed by the uplift in perf it brings, i KNOW i waited for the right gen to drop my hard saved cash 😋😁 pls shoot me. f*ck Nvidia. and nope, still love my Suprim X 4090, two COMPLETELY different and unrelated things 🤣 nowadays everything from sneakers, concert tickets, hardware, etc. is being scalped, basically any kind of "luxury" or higher end item that people want in troughes. disgusting indeed. if u wanna gamble go to a friggin casino or buy stocks. leave us and our hobbies alone ffs. we actually want to USE those items, not gamble with them to make a quick buck. indeed. i fear this might become a new trend even among enthusiasts... and guess what? if enough ppl do that then well see older hardware getting scalped as well. ffs, when does it end?! lulz i feel kinda bad for saying this, but every day that im following the 4090 unobtainium news i feel better about my sniped Suprim X. just now i saw one card pop up on fleabay for 33% above MSRP, which i paid (the MSRP, thats is, NOT the +33%!) 😅 and that was from a commercial / vendor account.... 2020 wants their scalping prices back! this kinda strategy really sucks. because whatever u do, itll bite u in the balls. if u go and get the 4090 now ull be frustrated cuz of the Ti. if u wait for the Ti, ull only have limited time as top dog until a 5090 gets released. f*ck that! O. M. G. im speechless... and at the same time Schadenfreude FTW, this is HILARIOUS!!!!! 🤣🤣🤣👌🏻👍🏼🥳 sandbaggin fo sho. imagine what they left on the table for basically every other gpu gen cuz they didnt have any previous gen stock to get rid of...uh huh! aight, now behave, not another post explosion inside a day 😂 -
yeah well corsair has never been known to offer good value products, they always take a hefty premium, similar to apple tax 😅 huh nvidia offer they own overlay solution? kinda neat, is that standalone or integrated function of the driver? more info pls 🙂 especially interesting for me since im currently on the lookout for mew software before i install my new beast desktop

aaand there it is haha 😋 -
the case is absolutely awesome! SO much space and well built / designed, only little gripe i have is the limited space on the backside for cable management. but its still doable, so all is good 🙂 LOL i just saw u have the exact same gripe, seems were on the same side here 😂 dude, im SO happy i got the Seasonic TX-1600 which already includes two 12VHPWR cables, so very easy and clean gpu power cable management. yes u read that right, i weighted it myself 🤣 TONS of accessories in the box and the mobo itself is a total brick and built like a tank. and it STILL seems small compared to that chongous gpu hahaha! thx man, i took my sweet time with the cable management, so much fun to be building a desktop again after such a long time 🙂

aaah ok, no worries then, misunderstood, but still got ur wish 🙂 and yes, plenty of space left, doesnt even touch the side glass panel. haha why doesnt that surprise me that such reports of a gpu melting PSUs and tripping breakers would get your attention? 😄 -
here some more pics after gpu install: and geez, its SO freaking big (and yes, thats definitely what SHE said, as well! 🤣) i have a behemoth case, a huge AiO, E-ATX giant of a mobo and still, putting this GPU in suddenyl makes everything else looks normal sized or small LOL. as you can see, the Seasonic TX-1600 12VHPWR cable was super easy to route, doesnt really take much away from the tidy interior. just bothers me a bit that the connector goes towards the tempered glass side panel and not off to the side, i.e. towards the AiO. but in any case, i still have sufficient space so that its not pressing against the glass. GPU sag was actually not that bad after install! i needed a level to actually determine if there was any sag and it was tiny. still, i dont want it to get worse with time so i used the gpu holder included with the X670E Extreme, quite handy with a strong magnet in its base so that it stays in place. the tip is rubberized so no scratches to the gpu. plus its small enough to be basically indiscernible behind the GPU power cable. here the "other" side of the system. i marked the spot where the stock cable cover would squeeze onto the psu cables with its sharp edge, it already left a tiny dent on the outermost insulation of the cables. nothing worrisome yet, as the insulation is still intact. but with time that would potentially become worse, so might as well just do away with the cover. side panel is good enough to keep everything in place. wouldve loved to install my 2.5" SSDs in the front of the system, u can see right next to the AiO that there are plates with SSD mounting holes, unfortunately thats a no go cuz no space left between the rad and those plates. so that only leaves the backside with the cables to install the SSDs to....ugh. anyone got ideas on how i could potentially still install them in the front? still need space for top, bottom and back fans, and id like to avoid having to use double sided sticky tape.... on another note, see that blank area below the GPU? thats where a second ITX system would normally go, since the Enthoo Pro II is a dual system case. im planning to install a Raspberry Pi display in there at 10 inches and powered via USB so that I can put a sensor panel on it, kinda like shown here by JTC: cant say it enough, that gpu is a CHONKYDONKDONK boi! cant wait to take it out for a spin 🙂

dude, jealous! wish i could just take like 2 weeks off to get the system up n running, check out my games and do some tweaking like 15 hours a day 😄 but instead, im heading to Mexico with the lady for our honeymoon, so cant complain too much ahaha. but until then i still have two weeks left where i can squeeze in some quality time with the new beast here and there... anyways, here some more pics after gpu install: and geez, its SO freaking big (and yes, thats definitely what SHE said, as well! 🤣) i have a behemoth case, a huge AiO, E-ATX giant of a mobo and still, putting this GPU in suddenyl makes everything else looks normal sized or small LOL. as you can see, the TX-1600 cable was super easy to route, doesnt really take much away from the tidy interior. just bothers me a bit that the connector goes towards the tempered glass side panel and not off to the side, i.e. towards the AiO. but in any case, i still have sufficient space so that its not pressing against the glass. i got the Seasonic TX-1600 which comes with two 12VHPR 600W connectors, so no worries on using that stupid adapter. waaay easier to cable manage 🙂 -

LOL funny u should ask, i actually JUST disassembled and removed the metal cable cover cuz it was already starting to uncomfortably squeeze in those psu cables. now i only have the side panel pushing them in but thats ok since no sharp edges. ill take another pic of the cable side for ya 😛
