    welp, nothing more to add here 😄 sorry i didnt reply earlier, im happy i can even post once every 1-3 days currently 🙂 in any case, the AF2s are definitely good products. and safest bet to get a late revision is to either buy directly from Arctic (website or ebay) or use a shop that has a lot of sales and thus fluctuation. that way u can be sure their products dont stay on shelves too long and are stocked up frequently. duuuude ure going all out with GPU purchases eh? planning to keep all of them or just test, screen and keep the ones u like? in any case, thats taking one for the team 😄 well this trend of comments is concerning....so far i cant really complain about the X670E Extreme i got from Asus, everything functioning as it should. knocking on wood that this will last! funny thing about all this is that rumor mill makes it seem like AMD themselves actually expected more from their own cards... 😅 lets see if they can fix any of those performance bugs via driver updates or if new silicon would be necessary... in any case, making the HORRIBLE 4080 look like a better deal is just....i cant even 🥲

    damn dude, someone's planning to go all out on his next build, i know the feeling 😄 that case looks a wee bit small though...just make sure its able to fit those 4090 monster cards 😅 as for those crazy capacity sticks...be aware that the higher cap u go the less speed ull get out of them. what u need so much RAM for, anyways? running whole datasets in memory or smth?

    oh dont get me wrong, im not talking about them providing high-end. lets start with following through for one! theyll need to prove first that theyre in it to stay and be able to provide continuous driver updates, performance and stability improvements and widen their tech base. otherwise ure buying a product thats dead in the water just a year or so later. at that points doesnt matter if its cheap or not, its wasted money. yep you and me and basically the whole enthusiast community is hoping for intel to get (even a tiny) foothold in the gpu space. more competition is good, nothing new there. but as we all know, companies are not your friends, so everyone's gotta prove themselves first. that's the overall problem with Ngreedia: they SUCK SO BAD but their products are just spot on, year after year, gen after gen, they prove they can make the best performing GPUs. this combo just sucks big time cuz ud LOVE to buy ANYthing else but you just cant. thats why im also hoping for AMD to get their shit together for RDNA3 and push those cards to their initially intended targets.

    LOL take your pick of 3+ year old games maxxed out on the 4090 bud 😄 aside from that, the smoooooooooooooooooooothness even on regular ol' desktop environment is unbeatable. total pleasure to work and play on this monitor 🙂 the 24 or 27 incher (cant tell lol) they provided at my workplace feels SO SMALL in comparison 😄 and very grainy, too...its "only" FHD 😛

    ha lucky me id never get the idea to buy a new car. turn the ignition keys, driver off the lot and it just lost like 30% of its worth in a blink of an eye 😄 only used cars for me, thank you sir! 😉 well in that case naturally. so uve returned all your 4090s? even the almighty "trashboat"? dont have any benches uploaded thats why you wont find anything 😄 also havent enabled ECC, just leave it off, no real use for it haha keep us posted on how the new kit is treating you 🙂 oh snap, ure sending back the suprim liquid? doesnt ur wife mind if u send back an anniversary gift she gave you? 😅 aside from that, what was the nail in coffin for that decision? the obligatory ECC enabled for benches plus high cost? yep, that definitely wasnt one of Jay's finest moments...i wasnt aware of that seemingly typical RDNA behaviour until i read the comments under that video. seems to be nothing new 😄 i guess he shouldve done minimum amount of research before posting such sensational content! forgive me but ill only believe it when i see it...Intel's got a looooooooooooooooot of ground to cover before earning any trust in the GPU space.

    haha i absolutely 100% understand the way u feel. i had a similar thing when i recently switched from my previous huawei mate 20x to the google pixel 7 pro. just waaaay more freefom of customization, starting with unlocking BL and rooting the system. now im finally free of any shackles and can do whatever the F i want with MY phone! 🙂 plus i can look forward to significantly longer and better software update support, both officially by Google themselves and also the community 😉

    long time no see / talk my friend! thanks for the kind words, appreciate it 🙂 enjoy your new mobile beast, sounds like u got a good deal on it! also keep up the good work, tons of people heavily depending on that kind of research. ive since switched from academia to the industry, now serving all the "big bad pharma" globals as customers for aseptic filling and packaging for their drug products 😄 as for Hyperion, trying to get as much time on it as possible, but its hard...especially with the new job now naturally taking up a lot of time. also, our new appartment is still strewn with boxes and suitcases, total chaos 😅 have to wait until january to get our new mobiliar in so we can finally tidy up a bit here... in the meantime, my lady is happily growing in size / volume, with the little princess developing nicely as she should 🙂

    problem is, once its about their own kids, a lot of people just lose their cool and behave more like animals rather than human beings... and no, im not talking about life threatening situations, everyone would move heaven and earth to protect their kids. im talking about the most mundane stuff 😅

    ha ok, so its just a time saver then, gotcha. i never really did that kinda clock testing, since im not getting anything out of it, id rather put some time into it and use it for something, i.e. benching or gaming 🙂 true, i still remember driving eeeeendleeeeesssssllyyyyyyy long until finally reaching the new mexico border 😄 its huuuuuuuuge lol sold ur house, wife and kids into slavery yet to be able and afford a 4090 Ti HOF? xD sigh...sucks big time. apparently, AMD's launch stock for 7000 series gpus is roughly 70% XT vs. 30% XTX. and, of course, NOBODY wants the XT. sooooo if all ure left with is a 7900XT or a 4080 then yeah....suddenly the frigging 4080 super crapfest card becomes the most sold gpu. gives me a headache to see such things happening... the more time passes, the happier i am i grabbed the 4090 Suprim X at MSRP, not looking back! here some more background info on this: so basically, AMD did not want to seem like Intel and keep their word on releasing stuff on time. at the same time they didnt wanna give Nvidia the upper hand for the end of year sales. what gives me hope is that there might still be a lot of gas left in the tank via driver updates and overclocking (partner models and manual OC) to bring the 7900 XTX closer to where it SHOULD be, namely squarely between the 4080 and 4090, maybe even closer to the latter than the former.
