This is Fox's old bundle, so far small tests of 5.1Ghz @ 1.32v (according to Throttlestop) @ 195w and 5.2Ghz pulled 255w but I think that was auto settings. It does 5.2Ghz at 1.38v pulling 211-215w. Tried lower but crashed the system lol Early days -

What is a good 24/7 voltage to have on the 10850K? -

Yep! It has some shortcomings but for what I wanted it suits the bill quite nicely. I suppose I could bring Temps down with liquid metal, still have some left over. Next I need to alter something in the bios so that it retains the xmp profile and executes it. Right now it's defaulting to 2133, likely your old mem oc still in place. -

D15 w/ 2150rpm gentle typhoons holds 5.2Ghz @ mostly low 80's @ 255 watts with cheapo nt-h1 paste Pretty happy with the setup so far @Mr. Fox Ill do some tests via remote tomorrow while at work. As it stands it's lovely to be able to let a system flex a bit. Power saver let's plex do its a thing @ 5 watts -

First boot. Decided to grab my Taichi 5700xt and strap 3x 45mmx92mm fans. I think they do 6k rpm's. Went the AMD route for the perceived hope of an ease of use for Linux but also I cant find my x570 stock motherboard mounts so that system is down for now which means AMD will be migrated first. -

Light net search seems to be an issue born from Win10 era systems since all the posts regarding it are 2016+ Intel(R) Serial IO GPIO Host Controller - INTC1056 Some recommend going to "Treexy", but I have never heard of that site so I wouldnt desire to go there as a download source. However, may prove useful as a last resort. https://treexy.com/products/driver-fusion/database/system/intel/serial-io-gpio-host-controller-intc1056/?o=id-/acpi/ -
Then I will probably order this unit. I liked the open bench you mentioned before, purchased it and everything is already set on it. I think I have a 512GB NVME some where around here I might swap into it though. Its going to be one of those rare scenarios where I am anticipating a build, but also forcing a lesson on top, making Linux the new daily driver. Carrot and stick

Ah gotcha, in retrospect the question is a bit silly. I looked at my current PSU, only 1 CPU power connector. As someone who has had cables burn out via mining, I like the idea of spreading the burden upon more connections even if I cant break any records with my NH-D15. So it looks like a purchase will be required. Currently looking at this unit below https://www.amazon.com/EVGA-SuperNOVA-Modular-Warranty-120-GP-0850-X1/dp/B0797D6G5R/ref=sr_1_5?crid=1HX8I8RSUCKCM&keywords=SuperNOVA+1000+G%2B&qid=1650609248&sprefix=supernova+1000+g%2B%2Caps%2C214&sr=8-5 The GPU's will likely be powered by one of my HP 1200w (900w) power supplies so my main concern is delivering what the CPU needs, everything else is secondary

introduction M17x R4 - 5 beeps with any graphics card
Reciever replied to deadsmiley's topic in Alienware 17 and M17x
More often than not it tends to lean towards incorrect BIOS settings for that configuration. I believe 6xx and up should be able to boot PEG+eDP, or a headless DP/HDMI adapter might fool the system into booting but I would confirm that before making any purchases.- 16 replies

@Mr. Fox I noticed the bundle you sold me has the extra 4 pin CPU power, what PSU did you typically use with it? Or is that simply made from an adapter solution?

https://www.3dmark.com/3dm/74309332? My best run tonight after modding additional cooling potential to the P750FM. It seems my scenario is not going to break any records. 😛 What do you guys think? Decent performer? -
Corsair reps insulted me in a product suggestion thread where I recommended that if they follow the trend, 360mm CLC's would likely be an attractive product to the people that wanted water cooling but cant be bothered to make a loop. So I dont participate in their products any longer. I wanted to keep the price around 150 but for 1000w may have to extend that. My first concern is primarily the CPU at this time but its true that buying a larger PSU would make it an easier decision long term.

In an effort to twist the knife, they didnt disclose that it was Prema's work, just that it was a custom BIOS. -
Well, for now I believe I will attempt to re-purpose my 550w for just the CPU/Motherboard until the appropriate deal comes along. I've been putting off using that bundle for a while now, and its best not to make purchases while in am impatient frame of mind lol Especially if pricing is supposedly lowering over time then it would be best to wait.

So worst case scenario I may just need to move some power to the HP 1200w server power supply if I were to pick up the SuperNOVA 750 G+? Nevermind, seems Amazon pulled the rug out again on me. Probably going to cancel my sub, its irritating to see something advertised as overnight to switch to 2+ days while in checkout.

Im not sure if this link will work but its the current filters I am looking at. https://www.amazon.com/s?k=psu+850w&rh=p_101%3A19346685011%2Cp_36%3A-15000&dc&qid=1650059365&rnid=386442011&sprefix=PSU+%2Caps%2C170&ref=sr_nr_p_36_4 I dont need a huge power supply, but something that is adequate for a 10850K (OC) and 3090/6900xt. I have had good experiences with the Supernova lineup in the past, are they still up to par? https://www.amazon.com/EVGA-SuperNOVA-Modular-Warranty-120-GP-0750-X1/dp/B0797HL9Z4/ref=sr_1_8?dd=71HHRGS1-1WS_x-OSvR5otNGzeC2M1AGI-JCm90QnS4%2C&ddc_refnmnt=free&keywords=psu+850w&qid=1650059444&refinements=p_101%3A19346685011%2Cp_36%3A-15000&rnid=386442011&sprefix=PSU+%2Caps%2C170&sr=8-8

Good afternoon, ladies and gents! Due to the temperature rise in Texas and also a new type of power plan for our home its become more justified to turn off the mining equipment in a venture to consolidate everything into one system as well as take a headfirst dive into Linux, amongst other things. I have 4 1200w HP server PSU's that I use for mining. My old main system which was converted into mining last year uses an EVGA 550w which was great for my 2700x and 5700xt. I plan to keep using them to power my GPU's save for the primary. The great missing link here is a proper PSU for the updated rig, once again, thanks to @Mr. Fox providing an (lets say) innocent suggestion by providing this forums potentially highest value with his bundle that he sold to me not too long ago, found here. For the time being I plan to use my NH-D15 so while I may not be able to hit top potential clocks, I still plan to take full advantage of the K chip. Here is the rub. Consolidation with minimal investment. This isnt to mean "Cheap", and also fast delivery or local pickup in the 76001 area code. I believe there is a bestbuy somewhat nearby but more importantly there is a MicroCenter. Amazon also if I can snag it over night or Sunday. What I need for now is a power supply for the bundle above with the addition of a 3090 or 6900xt in terms of power requirement. The only condition is I refuse to purchase anything from Corsair. Thanks in advance everyone, I realize its a lot of context coupled with time sensitivity. @electrosoft@Rage Set@Custom90gt @Papusan

They stole Prema's BIOS even after their business relationship (if there was one, Im fuzzy on the details) dissolved and actively sold it regardless. -
Just wanted to ask. I would like to automate a number of keystrokes but I would need to be independent of OS. I would like to be able to program them for different projects and purposes. One such use case would be making a series of alterations in UEFI sBIOS's

Right right. I hope we see more development on that front. That being said AMD will need to put forward some real effort to promote and support adoption of their products. Helios 500 still never got agesa updates (iirc) or ability to upgrade cpu. I would even be highly interested in a 14" laptop and no gpu if that meant proper cooling (retaining 3 pipes and 2 fans) if the trade off is egpu for gaming. I long lamented that the AW13 R3 would've been amazing if it had no GPU and a 7820hk with the same cooling. The problem I tend to see (and I haven't had my ear to the ground for this) is price. They make the consumer pay for the capability of egpu which then makes the scenario unfeasible for most. Maybe this might change with usb4 but as everyone (including us) has seen USB standards seem to go out the window. It seems like we are regressing to the olden times where everything was proprietary. This time worse since it's proprietary functions within a standardized connection. -

I still hold that a DTR makes the most sense for the 5800X3D since it likely lacks @Prema love and also no support from Throttlestop. Shame the one platform we have for that only comes with a BGA 2070.
