  1. Pay more get less. Is this the correct way to spell it for the new and modern? Or should we change it and instead say Pay less get more with the 7000 series X3D chips?😀 The Red Team gamer-boy spent all his money on 7950X3D. Then he saw that AMD gave more love to the cheaper X3D gamer SKUs... Ryzen 7950X3D May Run Slower Than 7800X3D, Reviews Rumored for Feb 27th tomshardware.com But there is a catch about the top-of-the-line Ryzen 9 7950X3D processor: the clocks of its core complex die (CCD) equipped with 3D V-Cache could be lower than those of the less-expensive Ryzen 7 7800X3D, according to @9950pro.
  2. And for how long? Microsoft want that you buy new HW and new Win 11 license. Next change may come in the registry. Remove all remnants in newer Win 11 builds to stop this tweak from happening. That's cute. Remember all Microsoft think about is to help you all "boost your pc's security" (sarcasm).
  3. This is nothing new. They just can't make it right. Microsoft confirms Windows 11 driver updates are failing with 0x80070103 windowslatest.com - February 17, 2023 According to several reports across the Microsoft forum and Feedback Hub, a new Windows 11 update mess is causing drivers to fail with 0x80070103. Microsoft has confirmed it's aware of reports, One frustrated user posted to the Feedback Hub: “All channels…Dev…Beta…Release Preview is throwing this error at me. Come on, Microsoft don’t you have quality control checks before you release stuff? Looks like you’ve messed up quite a few systems with this error!.”
  4. I'm more hanged up in the body😀 Maybe the gamers should go back to the consoles? They will save loads of money as well. Mama and papa will be damn happy😀 PC gamers are getting fed up with one crappy port after another pcgamers.com published 1 day ago Everything comes to PC now, but it sure feels like there's something wrong with practically every major release. https://hwbot.org/submission/5206097_papusan_3dmark_vantage___performance_geforce_gtx_570_37023_marks/ https://hwbot.org/submission/5206147_papusan_3dmark11___performance_geforce_gtx_570_8581_marks?recalculate=true Edit. A very interesting video... This one is also interesting. Almost as Der8auer say their high end paste as Kryonaut don't have long time stability. Well known that Kryonaut thermal paste won't last long. From 7:59
  5. And it gets better… What a massive upgrade over previous gen xx70 mobile. Why waste money on this? Mechrevo claims GeForce RTX 4070 Laptop GPU is only 11% to 15% faster than RTX 3070 https://videocardz.com/newz/mechrevo-claims-geforce-rtx-4070-laptop-gpu-is-only-11-to-15-faster-than-rtx-3070
  6. I know you can't get full desktop performance from laptops nowadays. Hence they need to go back to the old SKU naming. Max-Q fits well or justuse M for mobile as in the older days. And name the SKU correct. If the chips is a 4080 die then name it correct as 4080 Max-Q and not 4090 🙂 Can't be that difficult... Or can it?😎
  7. That's a steal? I don't think so. Even $2850 is all too much. All 4090 mobile is castrated in one or another way. But why pay +40% premium for slightly less crippled performance? You could buy a decent desktop pc for the money in between those options(1300$+). Or just save the money/lower your credit card debt. The best would still be to stay far away from the laptop models. None of these models is meant for 4K gaming anyway. The most crippled 4090 model should manage 1440P without much drawback vs the less crippled for +4000$. And same for 1080P gaming. See also Eluktronics Mech-16 GP and Mech-17 GP2 are the first GeForce RTX 4090 laptops to retail for under US$3000 Max-P 175W. They should instead use Max-Q 175W or just brand it 4090 mobile. The best would be 4080 Max-Q (+150W) because the laptop card don't perform as a true 4080 desktop card. https://www.notebookcheck.net/Eluktronics-Mech-16-GP-and-Mech-17-GP2-are-the-first-GeForce-RTX-4090-laptops-to-retail-for-under-US-3000.695621.0.html
  8. Fun facts, but what you'll think happens with the Cpu clock speed when Dynamic boost kick in on the other side of the coin and let the 4090 get back it's cooling capacity? The extra cooling headroom from the 150W+ Gpu will clearly help to cool the Cpu in Cpu only tasks. But start streaming (more and more popular), run other tasks in the backround while you gaming ... Probably great fun following the Cpu flutctations (clocks jump up and down as a Yo-Yo) on the screen even if you put an fixed clock ratio. Me when I looking at the cpu clocking up and down as a Yo-Yo due the GPU steal the thermal/power headroom..... Me don't want that. Me prefer own cooling for both Cpu and GPU. And big enough PSU to feed the needed power for both the Cpu and Gpu. Not this Dynamic boost/Speedshift feature meant to cut costs/make laptops as Apple clones.
  9. Maye bro @Vasudev can add it in first page for his thread Which Thermal Paste to buy and apply (Traditional and Liquid Metal) Make an easy title... How to use... Liquid metal (with or without Intel IHS). Just use my Imgur album.
  10. Testing of fits/pressure from Custom Rockit Lid (i9-9900K) @Tenoroon Did you bake in the liquid metal?
  11. Bro Fox. You remember I struggled to get the better 4090 Asus cards as the Strix OC? Maybe Asus lacks cards to sell as I have mentioned before. Because Nvidia want that you instead buy their 4080. Just rumors but it fits damn well with how difficult it is to buy a 4090 Strix OC. Lack of good enough binned chips for their best cards probably forced Asus to throw in the remining lower end 4090 silicon into their cheaper 4090 cards. In short Nvidia try to stop the supply with 4090 chips. And I'm sure Nvidia don't want that the creators buy their 4090 instead for the more expensive RTX 6000 ADA. Limiting supply of 4090 makes sense in their screwed up head/world. Why pay $6,800 for content creations if you can buy the 4090 at $1,600 or even a custom AIC card at $2000? I think EVGA is happy they got rid of Nvidia and their awful trickery and shenigans. Only the 4090 have been near a succsess. Rest of the 4000 series launch have been a huge fiasco. Started with the 4080@10GB rip-off, then followed up with the same 4080 scam but in 4070 Ti clothes at massive premium. When will they be able to see it themself?
  12. You can get a 4090 laptop below $3000 but why should you? You pay premium for the cheaper 4080 silicon thats on top power castrated. The good news is that you can grab an RTX 4090 laptop for for $2,851
  13. With slight overclock I said you should be able reach his results. But his results doesn't really match the high clocks he posting with if not there is something wrong. Not sure how correct Futuremark measure but his average is 3130+ and that should provide better results. Either something wrong with the HW, or he doing something wrong. With terrible bin you won't reach 3130 + on average. Most cards if I remember correct don't do that. They are below 3100. Put it this way... I don't think bad bin cards can reach an average above 3130. But what I see is lower than expect vram clock speed..
  14. Can't really remember the stock scores but even an sligth OC should provide better results (If not the clocks drop). And he bench more than GPU on LN2. Could be he forgot change cooling under subs of course. Stock. You should see around 21K.
  15. Update 02/16/2023 02:00 p.m. Forum » AMD has now provided a new installer for the Adrenalin 23.2.1 that is around 181 kilobytes larger, with which the problem mentioned no longer appears to appear. The download on ComputerBase has also been updated accordingly. https://www.computerbase.de/2023-02/amd-adrenalin-23-2-1-whql-treiber-fuer-radeon-rx-7000-und-rx-6000-liefert-mehr-fps/ Yep, AMD didn't want to talk what was wrong. And they did something similar when they throw out the CPU overclock for their audience with graphics drivers a few months ago.
  16. This is the way it's milled. Nothing to worry about. Not sure what's up. But isn't this around what to expect from stock performance? But clocks doesn't match that. And he is an LN"2 boy, so... Weird. Could be a really bad sample, who knows. Yep, but 15% less performance in multi threaded workload is quite a bit lower than expected.
  17. AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D Tested in Blender, Geekbench 5 Tomshardware.com - 6 hours ago Where are the performance advantages? Maybe Mr. Azor will bring it back?😎 Oh' I forgot... He rule in the Graphics/Gaming department. But, this is a pure gaming chips. Maybe he have come up with some good advices he learned from Dell? Less is more. And newer has to be better. Always.
  18. I'm quite sure the Micron GDDR6 chips is very faragile. And if you bench hard and cold no memory chips enjoy the cold temps. Then we have Samsung... The nand chips for their newer ssd's dying in loads. And there is a reason for dynamic voltage for coming memory chips. They all become more and more fragile the higher speed they get. New and faster come at a price. One ting I have read... The AIC board partners use some batches of faster GDDR6X vram tuned down to slower speed to match nvidia's specs. So the vram overclock is a lottery. Same with which vram that will have a short lived life. All boil downs to the lottery. The sons NZXT H7 Flow ain't the smallest mid size Chassis out there. But the HOF or any of the bigger AIC cards from 408 and upwards will fill it up and require a full change for the custom cooling. Smaller tank and mount it on the fans. But easly possible. No need to change for a smaller AIO. The Asus 3070 in the background looks like a small baby compared😎 Right below 2850 gram. The 4090FE weighs 2181 gram.
  19. I don't know. But the upper elite (the chosen ones) use the best binned Hof cards and they come with Micron. https://hwbot.org/submission/5202873_ogs_3dmark___fire_strike_extreme_geforce_rtx_4090_53097_marks
  20. I lack the second Nvidia 16-pin power cable. But isn't Micron the only company that offer GDDR6X vram?
  21. LOOL, and thanks. There is still an major difference. A screen provide info, not pure bling bling show for entertainment as in a nightbar/strip show and not very useful with fans spinning in Red, blue or whatever colors. More as you put on white paint on the big letters on your car's tyres. This won't make your car run faster. And you can detach the screen and put it whatever place I want in the chassis or on top of it (magnets/stands on the back side). I don't need have to have it right in sight or connected to the GPU. Want real bling bling. Maybe buy the card "What the F... version"😀 Tomshardware. Yesterday AliExpress Sellers Painting Over Micron Memory on RTX 20-Series GPUs: Report Today's AMD news. They are in media almost everyday now..... Maybe all news is good news for the brand?😎 AMD's Ryzen Master Has a High Severity Vulnerability, Update Available AMD disclosed that its popular Ryzen Master software utility, which enables CPU monitoring and overclocking capabilities for its lineup of consumer processors, has a new vulnerability, ranked 7.2 (High), that could allow an attacker to assume complete control of the system. AMD has posted a new updated version of Ryzen Master for Windows 10 and Windows 11 that corrects the issue. Yep, looks fun own a AMD system. Never a new day without you can spend it at your desktop and have some fun😀 AMD Graphics Drivers Automatically Removed By Windows Update (How To Fix) 6 January 2023 by Tristan Perry Over the past few months, my Windows PC has developed an annoying issue. Sometimes when I boot up, I launch a game or video editing program… and get hit by lag and performance stutters. I might just about get 1 FPS in Rocket League if I’m lucky! I then check Task Manager, and I notice
  22. You are a lucky man my friend. You have more options to get cheaper HW and you avoid taxes on such parts as here home or in EU. Not 10, 12 or 15% on top. If you get a card at $1800 in US then I have to pay $2250. And for that price you'll get the cheapest of the gamer cards. If thats the only option I would let it be and instead go for a cheap used card. For my needs. I don't want spend money on a card I don't want. Cheap or expensive doesn't matter. If I don't like it... I don't buy it. More pictures. I tried to take on the gloves in the box... That failed hard, LOOL The gloves must be intended for very small people with very small hands. Most likely because Galax main audience is in the Asia region. They could instead have throw in a cheap mousepad same as MSI. LooL. I don't have the small ladies hands. What a useless gimmick/addons. I made also a video for my channel. Here it is. I'm not a editor so it is what it is. So be careful with the volume control😀 And the crocs is very useful bro @electrosoft😎 The like button is the one with the thumbs upwards. Same video but without music. More with my excitement for this new card. And as you can I prefer black also home 🙂
  23. This bro Fox. This is the weakest link in new and modern graphics. The cores can run years but the memory chips is fragile and can die whaever day. Even more/worse with the latest and greatest. Some even say degradation before dying. But you know this and have spare hardware. Sorry that this happened to you🙁 What with the block you have in order? I expect it is designed around your card and not fitting all cards (if not reference design). I always have older cards lying around. I probably have 12 if not more. But I’m not the big gamer and if I game I normally play older games. I have no need for the new and shiny I ordered but I haven’t bought brand new graphics hardware the last years. I wanted something new I can have years forwards. If I had the money I wouldn't hesitate go back to same shop and send you a 4090 HOF bro Fox. Probably under 5 cards for sales in the whol EU. And me who waited since Nov last year for 4090 Strix OC. The Asus card have now been in stock in the shop for 1.5 days. Weird times. Maybe Asus have had problems get good enough parts from Nvidia. Because all other of the Asus models have been in stock.
  24. Expect more of the same. Broken or not, the intention is to push you on next gen HW. Just put specs barely good enough for games requirements around launch date.
