  1. Yep. A huge cold plate intended for big Threadripper chips isn't a good choice for the small and wimpy mainstream chips. The hot spot area on intel chips is different. The die is barely 200 mm2 for the new gen hybrid chips with all those baby cores. And the power hungry P-cores don't take much space on the silicon. This type cooler are mainly designed around bigger chips with Amd's multi chiplet (glued on die's) design. There is only one solution for Intel chips... Custom water cooling, a good AIO or a Water chiller in combination with already mentioned liquid cooling setup... And the average Joe wanting an air cooler they won't go for such a big box cooler design. The design simply won't match what they want. They want Slim, and sleek sexy designed air cooler and with a lots of bling bling around the cooler fans (so called Argb/RGB garbage). So what you have left for this type cooler is TR chips or a possilbe new work station chips from Intel (HEDT is dead so scrap that cooler choice for consumers as performance enhusiasts or the average Joe).
  2. Long time since I saw this video. I think the design is for TR chips and not so very efficient for smaller die as Intel chips. See above. I still think this isn’t a great cooler for Intel chips. The design of the cold plate isn’t optimized for small chips.
  3. I have read about this air cooler long time ago. Bad for Intel chips. Good for the bigger TR chips. Stay away if you have an Intel chips. Edit. Enjoy and forget to use LM. Alu bottom on this cooler. What a failure. And Der8auer wasn't very happy with the cooling on Intel chips.
  4. Titus just can't accept windows Defender, LOOL
  5. Here's more news/info about the new beauty from Intel. Steve Burke explains that the big mistake lies in Intel trying to meet AMD and Nvidia on all fronts and filling the driver package with functionality that doesn't work at all. He believes that the company should back off, apologize and explain that initially they only offer the simplest, i.e. the functions that are not a "buggy mess". Worst We've Tested: Broken Intel Arc GPU Drivers........

  7. https://videocardz.com/newz/full-nvidia-rtx-40-ad104-gpu-with-7680-cores-and-400w-tdp-to-match-rtx-3090-ti-in-performance If you can't wait then don't pay above 1000$ for a 2 years old gen card. And 3090 Ti should never have been sold for more than 1399,99$ at launch day. RTX 2080 Ti was $1,200 at release and dropped to $700 with release of 3080 (this before the mining and scalpers fest). And with Nvidia's milking of the better 3090 die to make an 3090 Ti I mean the price drop has to be from 3090 level MSRP (New from the store doesn't make it more appealing regarding price value - still 2 years old GPU arch - used or brand new old tech - it’s the same). Valid before miners /scalping took over the GPU market https://www.techspot.com/article/2107-your-graphics-card-worth/ (overpriced old gen graphics cards = Joke). Nvidia's price setting for their graphics cards is awful, but what Intel offers is not much better. And here is a new Joke. But from Intel..... Scathing report claims Intel may cancel Arc GPUs for gaming altogether as Alchemist rumored to have a "fundamental hardware flaw" Intel may cancel Arc for gaming if the newest report from Moore’s Law is Dead is true. The leaker claims to have gotten access to internal slides as well as inside information that paint a picture of consistently missed deadlines ... Still a damn bad deal for a near 2 years old card (Yep, the way 3090 should have been released). I buy used cards, but not at this pervers price level.
  8. Yep. And more fans will be added for the custom lop. I use mostly 3000 rpm high pressure fans. The chassis is the Corsair 1000D. Bigger is better (at least for my usage).
  9. You already have the 1th place for 12100F & RX 6750 XT in TS and with good margin 🙂
  10. Hi. I mean it was 81.8% Asic quality. I mean the bin is Ok. Not the upper top and not in the lower/middle end. I can see this from the info from EVGA for 980 Ti https://eu.evga.com/articles/00944/EVGA-GeForce-GTX-980-Ti-KINGPIN/ @Mr. Fox As you can se from the link above... You'll get variable bin also today for newer k|ngp|in cards (but all at same price nowadays). Bro @johnksss confirmed also this with his new better 3090 card after his leak accident. There is no guarantee you'll get the upper bin even if you buy EVGA's most expensive cards. You need to have the right contacts for that. The graphics card come in good shape (the whole package). The seller even sent with his original invoice of the card. I enjoy old equal as new. I don't need the newest and greatest every year. Your graphics score is near the top on the 3Dmark leaderboard for the card. Nice 🙂 Finally we see more correct priced cards (used and new). Hope it will last. Deskop sales dropped over 10% so the HW manufacturers have to be careful if they will try maxing out profits. Too high prices for midrange/upper level will lower the interest to buy new. People will instead buy cheaper and this will in the end hit the HW manufacturers right where it feeels best. No miners (they bought 35% of all cards). Nvidia can't push that loss on new parts.
  11. Got the new "old" baby. All well. With documentation, parts and paqckage in good shape. All have a nice weekend. Yesterday was the 27th wedding anniversary for me and my lovely wife. And we finally got good weather here home, and exactly the same nice weather as our wedding day in 1995. About time for posting new pict of my old used crocks to my friend @electrosoft 😆 Yep, I know you love my many pictures, LOOL https://hwbot.org/submission/5051031_papusan_3dmark_vantage___performance_geforce_gtx_980_ti_97321_marks https://hwbot.org/submission/5050997_papusan_3dmark___cloud_gate_geforce_gtx_980_ti_78720_marks https://hwbot.org/submission/5050959_papusan_3dmark06_geforce_gtx_980_ti_75734_marks https://hwbot.org/submission/5050970_papusan_3dmark05_geforce_gtx_980_ti_99333_marks

  14. Yep, that's another way do it. And many is stuck with a never booting OS to desktop if they download and installed directly from M$ servers. But I hate download patches and install with network. Nothing more different than use Microsofts own Win update. I prefer download standalone updates and install with network disabled. 15. Acceptable doesn't mean a anything if the new is worse than the old 🙂 New doesn't always mean better. Acceptable is watered down word. Can mean trash if you know what I mean. Windows as OS going the wrong way!
  16. 5W lower and near 1000 points down. Whats up? Something nasty from Windows fired up in the background? But nice temp reduction😎
  17. The beauty is in the details😀 Windows 11 Updates Are Breaking The Start Menu On PCs, Here's How To Fix It If you feel like you're serving as a tech guinea pig for the rest of us, running with Windows 11 as your daily OS driver, well, good on you. The officially-released OS does come with a few nice renovations, like the mostly-unified Settings applet, DirectStorage support, and under-the-hood improvements for Intel's.........
  18. Bro Fox. Here's some good news for you🤪 Microsoft make ready for your next pc. Maybe send M$'s CEO Nadella an huge thanks, LOOL Just sad Microsoft won't offer you an nice and pretty genuine M$ USB stick with the latest cancerware. 20. Put the blame on Lenovo. They haven't sent the HW id to Nvidia so they can add it into their drivers. Try an INF mod. You find guides how to do in on the internet. Edit. Try with NVCleanstall. How to mod and sign NVIDIA drivers with TPU NVCleanstall

  22. I even avoid old AMD cards. And I follow same pattern for new cards🙂 I was very close to grab a 780 Lightning card in a complete pc for a very good price. Not everyday we see such cards here home. Oh'well can't have good luck every time. I can just keep on with the old before my new Zotac cards come to papa. I made a custom vbios that worked better than the stock firmware for the GTX 670. I'm not the big firmware modder but at least it worked out well for a few benchmarks. I got near 18000 more points in Aquamark🙂 Not so bad with an air cooled card. 1th and 2nd place is out of reach due they use LN2 but 3rd is better than 4th or 5th. I guess everything is better than last, LOOL https://hwbot.org/submission/5046259_papusan_aquamark_geforce_gtx_670_543812_marks?recalculate=true https://hwbot.org/submission/5046233_papusan_3dmark___cloud_gate_geforce_gtx_670_47244_marks?recalculate=true https://hwbot.org/submission/5046240_papusan_3dmark11___entry_geforce_gtx_670_19335_marks?recalculate=true https://hwbot.org/submission/5046231_papusan_3dmark11___performance_geforce_gtx_670_12272_marks?recalculate=true
  23. AMD continue stealing features Nvidia have used for their graphics cards. Jep, AMD eat more and more features from Nvidia's graphics features portfolio they have been alone with. What remains now is the performance crown/or performance vs dollars for Nvidia. This is all they will have left to try keep up their very high market shares for graphics cards. So not so sure Nvidia will give up maximum profits/keep up their high market shares. All Nvidia can do forwards now is going for the performance crown. Intel will go for the budget crown, AMD for the "in middle" and Nvidia is now forced to take the perfomance crown. If not they will lose hard in this battle. AMD NOISE SUPPRESSION Nvidia RTX Voice should have competition AMD briefly posted a video on its official YouTube channel promising a new audio feature for Adrenaline. And next gen AMD GPUs will have 'enhanced ray tracing'. Nvidia need to deliver with 4000 series cards or the comingt two years forwards will be as a black mondey/nightmare for their greedy shareholders. Maybe it's time for Jensen to retire or swap job? Not so sure it will be fun sit on top forwards to please Nvidia's shareholders🙃
