  1. Yep, even with a bigger chassis as the big hype... 17,3 now 18" chassis size they couldn't offer a increase in power. And bigger cooling cost money. This is intended... They want you back in the stores fast as hell when next gen crippled models is out. The more castrated... The easyer is it to push you over on next gen Jokebooks.
  2. Don't say you don't like my "All Black" crocs😁 I wonder if Nvidia will have the stomack to put it at $529. 4080 was 71% above 3080 so everything is possible Even $499 would be a disaster price for 4060 (+51%). Could be they go for $429 Alleged NVIDIA AD106 GeForce RTX 40 GPU Benchmarks Show RTX 3070 Ti Class Performance For sure, the GeForce RTX 4090, RTX 4080, and RTX 4070 Ti are cool graphics cards, but the value proposition as well as the way the specifications are trending have left some folks wondering what lower-end Ada Lovelace-based GeForce GPUs will look like. Well, we may have our first peek at an upcoming desktop GeForce..
  3. This start to look as a comedy.... @Mr. Fox Right after this and the whole 3D Elephant thread is closed down. Yep. And the new fix coming will also destroy your chances to get better ranking with your older HW. Maybe every single 3D benches on Hwbot and U/L Futuremark should be removed so the competition can be real/fair? This new fix just means that you will get even worse chance to beat others older scores regardless what new or older HW you use. Nice!!! Running UL/Futuremarks software will be more and more a disaster. FromUL/Futuremark.
  4. Exactly what bro @electrosoft need. New HW to hide any Coil whine coing from his pc's. This just show how crippled Gen 5.0 drives will be if used in new modern Jokebooks. They can't cope with the heat without something has to be sacrificed. No need to be bothered with Coil whine anymore bro Electro. Just buy new modern NVMe ssd's😎 And you don't need spend time with returns/RMA. So double win😁 CFD Gaming’s PCIe Gen 5.0 NVMe SSD With Active Cooling Is Crazy Loud, Fan Runs Up To 21,000 RPM
  5. @Mr. Fox What is revolutionary with a power delivery system that can deliver up to 250W combined power in laptops? This is even less than what the single 980 laptop graphics card from 2015 consume by its own when oc'd. 6. Early morning here. Time for bed 🙂 Yep, a fun small card. Worh every cent of that $7.79 I paid😁 GTX 590 $699.... RTX 4090 $1599. Time have changed the last 12 years. You got dual GPU's. Imagine the price for similar GPU setup with 4090. More like +$2500. And what with a dual 4090Ti (+$5000), HaHa https://hwbot.org/submission/5193932_papusan_3dmark2001_se_geforce_gtx_570_175058_marks?recalculate=true Here is an old review of the Gainward GTX 570 Golden Sample https://www.fudzilla.com/24199-gainward-gtx-570-golden-sample-reviewed?showall=1 We managed to push the "GPU to 900MHz" and score better than the reference Geforce GTX 580. And I have already pushed it above 1000MHz 🙂 In the older days you could get top tier performance from the second tier graphics cards in the same arc. Not today.
  7. Bro Elektro. Ready for some new pict of my "All Black" crocs and benches from new old? I thought it was time for some new nice pict for you😁 The new old have come to Papusan's plaza. A decent example. In nice shape and even with the don't touch sticker on one of the screws. And even better... Asic score 86.9% On top. The card is never opened up... GTX 570 was released in Dec 2010, so I expect the card is from 2011 aka 12 year now, and run very cold with the orginal paste. I only needed go with some airflow from my AC duster. 8. Yep, I have equal fun with the old as the new and shiny🙂 @Mr. Fox I wonder if #9 on the boot enjoying my new Gold equal as me https://hwbot.org/submission/5192646_papusan_3dmark06_geforce_gtx_670_69263_marks?recalculate=true Maybe both?🙂
  9. Someone stole my 2nd place. I stole it back😎 https://hwbot.org/submission/5192585_papusan_3dmark05_geforce_gtx_670_94079_marks?recalculate=true Still no 4090 Strix OC for me😟 But this will be my new baby. Only $9.79
  10. Microsoft continue experimenting with their buggy trashware. They sink lower in QC and quality for each new day they work with their junk. I wonder where Microsoft got their software engineers. Windows 10 installation bug accidentally forces users to buy Microsoft 365 windowslatest.com- February 4, 2023 Windows 10 has again started displaying a full-screen pop-up that takes up the whole screen (similar to the first boot experience) and attempts to sell Microsoft 365. The pop-up itself isn't new, but there’s a catch – a bug in Windows 11 22H2 prevents users from skipping the Microsoft 365 offer, which means they’re asked to enter credit card details. In related news, Microsoft is experimenting with a full-screen popup to convince users to try Windows 11 for free. The full-screen popup has four slides attempting to promote Windows 11’s new flagship features, such as the Start menu and redesigned notification center.

  12. It may happen that we will land there... UL/Futuremark have the bad habit destroying own products (add in more and more monitoring/and other tasks in their system info software that will steal/eat even more clock cycles). And thats bad news for laptop benchers with already destroyed hardware from the OEMs, HaHa
  13. You can start with release driver for your 3060. Newest doesn't alweays mean better. And work you upwards with NVCleanstall. Take only 5 min to install new drivers included your tweaks. No need to run DDU in-beween each driver install. Benching is lots of works bro ryan. And don't ask why I know😎 But check out the drivers used from the 20 best results from 3090@Time Spy and try them out (write them down on paper then check out eeveryone of them) https://hwbot.org/hardware/videocard/geforce_rtx_3090/ Click the rankings on right side for prefered benchmark and you will get the 20 best results.
  14. Look at this old beauty bro Fox. The Caselabs chassis lacks modern connections in the front (due the old model design solutions), and I have the Corsair 1000D. But very tempting. Not everyday I see the old big glory is on the used market here home in Norway. Can't rembeber last time I have seen one. 6500 Nok = $647.31 Review... https://www.xtremerigs.net/2013/01/31/caselabs-sth10/

  16. A New Year Starts with New AM5 Options/AMD.Blog. Nice, The cat is out of the bag. If you want oc'ing features then buy the cheaper energy efficient 65W Ryzen models. Maybe Intel also should do the same? Pay less, get more😎
  17. Me sitting with my cigar Bro Fox, have you lost your mind?😜 MyPC8MyBrain. My previous post wasn't meant to offend anyone. We all have our own ways to tune our pc's. What works for mme may not be the best for others. I only post the way I prefer it should be 🙂
  18. Damn happy I don't need have to struggle with this. I can even add in a second +1000W PSU and still have enough space for double up of cables. And the small 16-pin 12VHPWR don't use much space. Could have 10 of them in the front of the box and still not use much spece. Big is better. Always better in all ways. This design change bode very bad. More cramped boxes will see the lights. And the chassis manufacturers will forget inovate for those that want big and beauty. This direction from Corsair reminds me all too much of the changes to the worse in the laptop world. Yep. All to try max out profits. But I have no hurry. I upgrade at my own pace. Their problem, not mine. Could be Asus don't have enough good binned chips for their flagship. If this is the case, I'm happy with the direction they have chosen. AMD is 'undershipping' chips to keep CPU, GPU prices elevated AMD joins Nvidia in "undershipping" chips to balance supply and keep prices higher. https://www.pcgamer.com/amd-undershipping-chips-to-help-prop-prices-up/ LOOL. The premium chips first for maximized cash grab. “This Ryzen 7 7800X3D will be the chip to beat, as it will offer the lion's share of the X3D's gaming uplift, but come with the lightest price tag of the three. Therefore, it's no surprise that AMD will release this chip last to maximize sales of the pricier models”. The first two chips will arrive on February 28: The 16-core 32-thread 7950X3D at $699 and the 12-core 24-thread Ryzen 9 7900X3D that weighs in at $599. The eight-core, 16-thread Ryzen 7 7800X3D arrives on April 6 for $449. This represents anywhere from a $100 to $180 premium over the street pricing for AMD's non-X3D versions of these chips. https://www.tomshardware.com/news/amd-announces-ryzen-7000x3d-pricing-dollar449-to-dollar699-starting-feb-28th
  19. Yep thats another way to see it. All Roads Lead To Rome, so people have to do whats fit them, their pc's 🙂 I do it the opposite. I also enable Evga precision k boost (can also be implemented in Afterburner) for even more heat. Less lagg and full power from the start of. But I expect the thin modern laptops or small SFT desktops with not adequate cooling is what some people prefer or want. See below.... Modern times. Welcome to the modern world/times. The next from Nvidia/AMD and Intel will be even more awful power saving features.... They will feed you with more awesome awful! Microsoft will be the guarantor that it happens.
  20. You don't need do this if you use Global settings. Settings will be correct after clean driver install. @ryan Do you use nvidia Inspector (contain Nvidia profile inspector) to turn of all the G-stinc settings? And use NvCleanstall to remove all nvidia software bloatware you don't need https://www.techpowerup.com/download/nvidia-inspector/ @Reciever Nice benching🙂 @Mr. Fox Congrats with the Suprim Liquid X. I still wait for the 4090 Strix OC. This damn card is always empty in the stores. And the stores is filled up with all other 4090's I don't want🤯 https://hwbot.org/submission/5189076_papusan_3dmark___fire_strike_geforce_gtx_980_ti_22113_marks
  21. All roads lead to Rome bro Reciever. If it works then why not 🙂 The 4000 series graphics cards have a huge open space on top of the backplate where you can just put a fan. This because Nvidia use small often v-shaped PCB. No need to mount the fan. Just put it down on top of the backplate. It won't fly away with your card
  22. Two different flaws. Samsung have been tight lipped about the ongoing 980 Pro problems. Not good for the sales bro Electro. More competition in the ssd sales. So, bad publicity will hamper the sales. Even at Pudgetsystems. Better be quiet as long as possible.
  23. It goes this way when you use newest chapo consumer tech. Samsung Pro drives have always used MLC nand for their procumer drives. Not anymore. Not so sure the other brads ssd's is so much better. They all use same cheapo tech. Always have a backup. Now more important than ever... Macrium Reflect 8.1 (8.1.7336) with improvements and newer Windows PE 10 released [Update]: And 8.0.7279 Free version [Update 01/30/2023]: After Macrium had withdrawn the first version 8.1, version 8.1.7336 of Macrium Reflect has now been released. 24. Be sure you have latest firmware if you have an Samsung 980 Pro and never used Samsung Magician software or never have updated the firmware. At least check the firmware version you have. Several different tools can be used for this (you don't need Samsung Magician to check the firmware version). Samsung Issues Fix for Dying 980 Pro SSDs. More info in my new thread below...
  25. Samsung Magician 7.2.1 (7.2.1.980) as new version good Morning January 30, 2023 Briefly informed: Samsung has updated its own software Samsung Magician for monitoring and checking the SSDs. The new version is 7.2.1 (7.2.1.980). The last update came in early October 2022. The installer was digitally signed on January 16, 2023 Information and Download: samsung.com/ samsung.com/Samsung_Magician_7_2_1_Installation_Guide.pdf If there are problems with the download: Samsung_Magician_installer_Official_7.2.1.980.zip (HiDrive) Of course Samsung was forced to push out new re-hashed software with new lipstick. Their Pro disks ar dying. Not only the newest Samsung 990 Pro is riddled with problems. Their previous gen Pro drives are dying with older firmware. So be sure you have installed latest firmware. Samsung's QC and quality have dropped as a stone in Mariana Trench. They really should stop branding their best ssd's with the Pro moniker. All they produce now is cheapo consumer junk. Nothing smells like "Pro" anymore. Critical Samsung SSD Firmware Update Posted on January 31, 2023 by Pudgetsystems.com Chris Newhart What is Happening Despite historically being some of our most reliable parts, we have received a surprising number of reports of failing Samsung drives, specifically with the 2TB version of the 980 Pro. We have been working with Samsung to investigate these failures, and they have recently confirmed that there is an issue affecting the older firmware that some 980 Pro drives were shipped with.
