  1. Can add in. Don’t go with the high performance pads as 17w/mk if the laptop has a awful heatsink (bad pressure). Softer lower wattage pads often beats the harder high performance pads as l already mentioned. Highest thermal conductivity pads is more expensive as well. Aka wasted money. I have good experience with the slightly cheaper Gelid Extreme 12w/mk pads.
  2. Intel make a fool of themselves. Optimize for benchmarks. I wonder how far they want to go to complete in 3D mark benchmarks bs Nvidia’ and AMD. And I expect a driver mess long time forwards. For now, Intel’s APO only affects TimeSpy and Port Royal tests. With the previous driver the A380 scored 5241 points in TimeSpy Graphics test, whereas with the new driver and APO disabled the same card scores 4449 points, that’s a decrease of 15%. https://videocardz.com/newz/intel-arc-gpus-lose-up-to-15-performance-in-3dmark-timespy-test-with-advanced-performance-optimizations-disabled Read the comments section. Maybe exactly the buyers Intel want. Intel’s lead graphics designer Raya should be fired. He ruin Intel’s reputation. Yep, driver mess from Intel is today’s “word”. Exactly as I expect/expected. Maybe Intel should have waited with graphics cards until after next gen Nvidia/AMD graphics cards? And of course they didn’t want launch a high end card wit all their problems. Why not just put all their money into iGPUs? The CPU package is already filled with that filthy. https://www.tomshardware.com/news/edge-chrome-browsers-can-lag-on-alder-lake-pcs-due-to-gpu-driver-bug
  3. Latest test (performance impact) https://www.av-comparatives.org/tests/performance-test-april-2022/
  4. I remember bro Phoenix talked nice about Panda. That’s a long time ago now. In the older NBR. It seems it’s still is a good choice even nowadays. Nice some companies still make something you can use. And they are in minority, bro Fox. Thanks for showing it 🙂
  5. As you know. I bench a lot and have Eset Nod32 installed mostly all time. But my benches is still ok. Panda maybe is an option but my long time use with Eset is hard to get rid of (used it many years without screw up). M$ Defender is a ticking bomb regarding performance impact and they change this bloat too often. Maybe I could get even better scores removing everything but my main OS’s is used for everything. It’s a choice between pest and cholera. I use a triple bot (win 7, 2019 LTSC and 2021 LTSC as main OS). I could of course make a second triple OS more cleaned/no Av). More is better, isn’t it? At least sometimes, LOOL 🙂 But not if you add in Defender or other huge AV suites. Still nice you tested it properly. Panda could be a good choice.
  6. Nvidia’s greed have no limits. Yep, 4000 gen cards will show up later in the year but this is done to increase profits. Another consideration in NVIDIA's decision is that the RTX 3080 Ti costs $1,089, leaving less room in the pricing range for the 12GB RTX 3080 to coexist with the Ti and 10GB variants. According to NVIDIA, this means that users may be enticed to pay more for an RTX 3080 Ti instead of a 10GB RTX 3080 because there are no 12GB options. https://www.guru3d.com/news-story/nvidia-seems-to-halt-producing-the-12-gb-rtx-3080.html i hope the market will be flooded with mining cards and that a lot people buy used than newer cards. Foundry TSMC states prices of graphics cards and processors will increase by 9% By Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 07/01/2022 09:29 AM | 43 comment(s)] PC component prices are returning to normal now that the epidemic and crypto meltdown have passed, but it does not appear that this will be a sure thing in the near future. The cost of graphics cards and processors might increase by up to 9 percent in 2023, according to TSMC. Read more
  7. I will ride long on my Clevo P870, my Clevo W860 and my wife’s cheap laptop she used for work. After that I will buy a sub 300$ laptop for on the go. No need for anything other than this. I won’t support greedy and lie’s coming from the laptop oems/Nvidia’s graphics solutions for laptops. And I will put money on my monster desktop build. Nothing come close do it this way.
  8. With the castrated laptop graphics TDP paired with the disaster Dynamic boost (your Cpu will be crippled if your gpu get max TDP), they hope you upgrade before time. If you get an desktop 4080/4080 ti you’ll ride on it due proper TDP. The max TDP including Dynamic disaster on laptops is a joke! They know how to milk laptop jockeys. Yep, they do this to push you on next year’s awful products. Edit. Regarding power adapters… The biggest you’ll get is a slim 280w adapter forwards. Why offer a thicker Delta 330w when the new chassis design with Nvidia’s big boy graphics is so damn cute and pretty? No point make it if all you’ll get is exactly the same as in the thin and slim. Upgradable would only be the Cpu. If they was so kind offer it. DTR is history. And most likely will never come back. I would never accept the DTR branding on new laptops.
  9. Thanks to yo all. I’m on vacation as bro Fox said. But I’m sick due my bad health. Can’t almost not hold an phone or look in the laptop. I will post when my health is better. God bless you all. Bro Papusan

  15. Miners have just started dumping their Ampere graphics cards in China. And Intel want $600 in same market for their new lovely low entry graphics cards with unfinished drivers, LOOL https://www.tomshardware.com/news/crypt-miners-start-dumping-gpus Twitter user I_Leak_VN(opens in new tab) spotted multiple listings of custom GeForce RTX 3080 graphics cards reportedly selling for 3,500 yuan, or $523.21. For reference, the GeForce RTX 3080 has a $699 MSRP
  16. Rx 6400/1650 ti performance for 600$. That's a steal. Who is this this cards really meant for? Office users that can't buy anything than Intel products/have to use up their budget for tech? What a huge Joke! Intel have gone bananas. No wonder they prefer offer this low entry card with the disgusting price tag first in China and not in U.S/EU. Yep, can't be a 1th April deal. We are already in end of June. China can't be much worse than here home (we have added 25% tax on top). But I wouldn't touch this crazy deal with a 10 feet pole. Those that buy this is either very messed up in their head or just plain stupid. Or both. We have words for this here home... "Klin kokos". Damn it fits very well for Intel and the buyers of this new graphics card https://no.wikipedia.org/wiki/Klin_kokos Translated to English... KOKO Intel’s first custom ARC A380 graphics card officially listed in China for 3999 RMB (595 USD) https://videocardz.com/newz/intels-first-custom-arc-a380-graphics-card-officially-listed-in-china-for-3999-rmb-595-usd Are you in a need for a new graphics card bro @Mr. Fox ?🙃 Whats wrong with todays tech companies?
  17. One more bug: June updates break login process for Windows on ARM Quickly after releasing June Cumulative updates Microsoft confirmed a bug that prevents the user from enabling a mobile hotspot on Windows 11 and 10. Sadly, it was not the only bug introduced in this update. Another issue affects ARM versions of the OSes and breaks the login process. Microsoft acknowledges that a Windows 11 update is causing serious connection issues betanews.com And Microsofts engineers prefer do it the same for their whole product stack.... Recent Windows Server updates break VPN, RDP, RRAS connections This month's Windows Server updates are causing a wide range of issues for administrators, including VPN and RDP connectivity problems on servers with Routing and Remote Access Service (RRAS) enabled.
  18. @Custom90gt The history seen from this article from Computerbase confirms how AMD screwed their HEDT customers. The previous Threadripper socket mess (change only for a change) just confirms that AMD didn't bother offer similar as for their mainstream platform. Ryzen Threadripper 5000: AMD once again takes pity on Threadripper computerbase.de 3/8/2022 3:00 p.m The last little loved child is now finally on the market: Threadripper 5000. But the thing has the famous catch, because it will not be available as a HEDT variant for the desktop, only workstations will be served with the Pro version. And here it is again just a converted Epyc processor. AMD Ryzen Threadripper has changed On November 5, 2020 AMD released the Zen 3 processors on the market, today, 488 days later, the Threadripper is finally available. Started in 2017 as a flagship project for the HEDT segment, nothing is left of it now. The initial driving forces behind the project have been gone for years, with Jim Anderson leaving in 2018 to become CEO at Lattice Semiconductor and James Prior joining SiFive . The remnants of the HEDT idea, which were already planned in advance, have remained, although in the last generation it is only a miserable one. High End Desktop (HEDT) is dead for the time being.

  22. Todays's tidbit. Nothing have changed from older days tech vs today. Almost no performance gain for the sucessor and the prices follow same paths for the newer memory standard as for the older gens(more expensive than it's predecessor). Yep, not much have changed in the tech industri. New standard means only new ways to maximize the profits around release. In the test 15 years ago: DDR3 celebrated its premiere with the Intel P35 at Asus computerbase.de The appearance of DDR3 was reminiscent of the debut of its predecessor in more ways than one: significantly higher prices without a noticeable advantage. The new technology was therefore not really recommended at the time of publication. The actual advantages of DDR3 over DDR2 would only become apparent in the years to come, similar to DDR2 over DDR before. DDR5 will be the same for years to come. ....................................................................... Intel's greed have no limits. And if they as they stated don't trust own products, maybe start design/create something better. And what's the difference vs their more expensive unlocked K chips.... You void the warranty there as well, if you run their chips outside specs. What a Joke. If the bin quality is so bad, maybe instead use those chips in thin and slimyJokebooks and not for desktops? BCLK ‘Non-K CPU’ Overclocking Motherboards For Intel 12th Gen Alder Lake CPUs Are Here But Chipzilla Isn’t Happy About Them Intel believes that the Non-K Alder Lake CPUs aren't designed to handle overclocking and can degrade the performance or even kill the CPUs after prolonged uses.
  23. Huge happiness in the MSI camp now. The AMD boys/girls can finally enjoy overclocking with their "special" Ryzen gamer chips. Yep, the bios is in beta but I expect thats not a problem for those that have struggled with all bugs from AMD the last two years. The MSI forum administrator also shared screenshots of some Cinebench R23 runs that he did on the Ryzen 7 5800X3D. Unfortunately, he didn't detail the settings he had modified, but his results showed a 4.7% higher multi-core performance. Sadly, single-core performance didn't see any benefits, with a margin of less than 1%. The firmware is currently in beta, so MSI still has to iron out all the bugs and whatnot. For example, it's unknown if the brand only offers the unlocked options on the MEG X570 Unify or if it'll extend support to other AMD motherboards. There's also no word on when the official firmware will be ready. Keep calm and tweak on 🙂 https://www.tomshardware.com/news/msi-x570-beta-bios-enables-ryzen-7-5800x3d-tweaking
  24. You should have been on vaccation to bro Papusan and enjoyed the disgusting weather we have her near the North pole. Yep, sleet, snow, rain and hail. And nice warming 8.5C degrees (yep, no sun) and we are in the middle of summer and the sun turns in 3 four days. This spring and summer we have almost not seen the sun. Aka a full race back to the dreaded dark season (rain, snow, wind, the dark and cold) without seeing much sun in the summer part. I HATE IT! Yep, no sun on my place... https://hwbot.org/submission/5021464_papusan_3dmark2001_se_geforce_gtx_480_158425_marks?recalculate=true
