  1. Hi bro Ashtrix. Forget use an air cooler. Regarding the fans for the AIO. I have replaced them with better fans who is directly connected to the MB. I have the Corsair chassis aka have the Corsair commander center. But I don't use it. I prefer manual or tuned fans from the MB. And if you want the fans connected to the pump and you want to regulate the fans, the pump will be affected by this. Low fan speed means you'll force the pump to run at lower speed. Not adviced. The fan pump need to run at max rated speed (but there is no noise run it this way). I have rolled up the original fan cable for the fans and stripped them / hidden them (having them still in there means I can sell this AIO complete kit with the original fans later). You could of course remove them totally if that is something you want/prefer. But don't connect much stronger fans on the same fan cable from the pump head if you want to swap out the weak fans for something better. A new baby. GTX 480. The famous first gen Fermi. A nice hot running card. 2. Ethereum Miners Spent $15 Billion on GPUs Alone During Latest Cryptocraze tomshardware.com Based on data from JPR, desktop GPU sales totaled $51.8 billion for all of 2021. That was spread across the 49.021 million GPUs sold β€” a four-year high. As far as average pricing is concerned, we're talking about $1,056 per unit in 2021, which is about two times higher than the average price for a high-end graphics card in Q3 2019 Nonetheless, 14.2 million is significant given that we're talking about six quarters when Ethereum mining thrived. In fact, from Q4 2020 through Q1 2022, about 73.55 million desktop discrete GPUs shipped. Keeping in mind that nowadays the market of standalone GPUs splits roughly 50:50 between desktops and laptops, it looks like Ethereum might have consumed about 10% of the whole discrete GPU output from Q4 2020 to the end of Q1 2022. The 10% help from the miners helped Nvidia and its partners maxing out profits (double up the MSRP). And Nvidia got the needed help raise the price point so they can make better profits for coming gen cards. We will see πŸ™‚
  3. 3090 Ti should have been the 3090. Aka $1500 at release. Near two years old and soon replaced. $1600 is all too much for this #old# graphics card. Let Nvidia/and their partners learn how it feels to be screwed. No thanks! See from 6:50.
  4. Scrap it bro @Mr. Fox. You should go for AMDπŸ˜€ AMD vs Nvidia: Who Makes the Best GPUs?
  5. Maybe you rather want Intel's brand new Arc A-series GPUs? πŸ˜€ They should be a bit cheaper than the cards you'll get from Nvidia/AMD. Intel try follow Microsoft (new HW requirements for their new OS) and will help you to speed up your HW upgrade cycle. Isn't that sweet done of them?πŸ™‚ If you want the very best performance out from their new Arc Alchemist desktop GPUs, then you'll have to buy the newest and greatest platforms from Intel and AMD to be able to the get most out from your new Intel graphics cards purchase. This regardless if you buy their new low end or high end graphics cards models. And you're forced to do a firmware update if you wish to run an Arc A-series GPU like the recently released A380 on a 10th Gen Intel platform. Nice. 7. Even new released Winaero Tweaker can't fix this OS. Winaero Tweaker 1.40 is here with new features and fixes I am releasing a new version of Winaero Tweaker. Traditionally, there are some fixes and updates, as well as new features. It now can properly recognize Windows 11 22H2 and its successor. Also on Windows 11, it will allow you to show tray icons on two or three rows, enable stickers, remove the Spotlight icon from Desktop, remove "add to favorites" from context menu, and more. There are also new features for other Windows versions.

  10. New has to be better. Always. Isn't that true bro @Ashtrix @Mr. Fox? Do they even test it before they push it out? Or maybe the few Guine pigs they rely on for testing don't bother report it as "the new has to be better"? Windows 11’s new Notepad is apparently slower than the original Win32 app Windowslatest.com - June 13, 2022 0 Microsoft apparently made the refreshed Notepad available for all Windows 11 users a few weeks ago after testing it with a limited set of users. 11. No need to mention this if you look at the new smartphone sized motherboard for the junk. And people are more hanged up in Dell's "new design choice" of the chassis than the soldered on Cpu πŸ™‚ Personally, I'm starting to feel like the quest for thinner, (lighter) devices is becoming too costly to continue. It's bad enough the new XPS 13 has ditched the microSD card reader, but that's admittedly a niche port that many people never have cause to use. But the headphone jack?! As my colleague Henry T. Casey noted, even Apple hasn't gone so far as to remove the headphone jack from its new MacBook Air 2022 (which is thinner than the new XPS 13, by the way), and Apple is the company that kicked off this anti-headphone jack trend in the first place. So if you're frustrated by the lack of a headphone port on your next XPS laptop, know that it's gone because Dell claims laptops are now getting so thin they can't even accommodate a 3.5mm jack. New Dell XPS 13 kills the one thing it shouldn’t β€” and I’m upset https://www.tomsguide.com/news/new-dell-xps-13-kills-the-one-thing-it-shouldnt-and-im-upset
  12. Hope Nvidia, AMD and Intel have put some money aside for poorer times. No miners will come to rescue this time helping them to push the MSRP 2x upwards for maximale profits. Their only option to increase MSRP well above the normal is to limit the inventory of new cards, so the scalpers can make some profits. But that will be less profitable than try sell more cards. And what with the flood of used cards we will see the coming months? No money in that for Nvidia and AMD. Its called Payback time πŸ™‚ Considering the repeated announcements about higher TSMC costs over the past year, AMD, Intel, and Nvidia might end up being forced to cut deeply into their GPU profit margins. Don't feel too bad for them, though β€” they should have some extra cash from the last two years. Below MSRP and Only Getting Cheaper: The GPU Deluge Begins https://www.tomshardware.com/news/graphics-card-prices-update-june-15 Crypto Crashed So Hard It May No Longer Be Profitable To Mine Ethereum If you're thinking about mining Ethereum as a side hustle, you should probably shelve the idea for the time being because, for the most part, it's not currently profitable. 13. They still give it a value of 87% in their review. And people look at the high score and jump on it. Reviewers should stop give high value rating for pure junk. If they have rated this mess with the more correct sub 50% then I expect Acer won't make any profits from their trashbooks. They would burn in with a lot unsold units.

  16. Because they engineered the the prototype of the HS wrong. All OEMs nowadays put most work in the Gpu cooling so so the fantastic dynamic boost feature can work optimal. No need for good enough Cpu cooling in in todays new modern gaming books (sarcasm). The OEM will in any case cripple down Cpu power to help the Gpu to boost up clocks within the limited power budget/cooling capacity, so If they have scrapped the 2.5" slot they could have created an bigger Cpu grill/fan and added more pipes for the Cpu cooling. But clevo is mainly for the Asian market. Aka people over there cut costs and add in bigger capacity cheap old spinning drives. The whole machine is engineered/designed very bad. 2.5" slots should be scrapped first if you lack space for needed HW in chassis for new modern laptops. They simply take too much needed space.
  17. If people want to wait for the 4090 Ti they may get no options for water blocks. Same as for 3090 Ti. This is a choice between pest and cholera. And they will also lose some of the the value getting a new card. The lifespan will be cut in half vs when new gen cards is out. You'll get two years out of 4090 if you don't put more money into Nvidia's pocket for the Ti card. https://hwbot.org/submission/5017779_papusan_aquamark_geforce_gtx_670_526279_marks?recalculate=true
  18. Nice. Pay premium for nothing. And too expensive for office use (the cooling is most likely adquate for an locked down cpu). 23. The SSD, a PCIe Gen 4 NVMe drive, is in an 11.5 x 13 mm package, which Dell calls the smallest in the industry. It's in a BGA, or Ball Grid Array, which uses solder to permanently attach components. You won’t be replacing it if it fails or swapping in something bigger or faster down the line. And the battery is integrated, so replacing it will be a chore if you can do it all. Elizabeth Chamberlain, director of sustainability at iFixit, said there are several XPS 13 laptops with soldered RAM in her organization, which she had hoped to see change in future revisions. "We have quite a few XPS 13s deployed at iFixit, and we have had reliability problems with XPS 13 machines with soldered-in RAM failing," Chamberlain said. "When that happens, we have to replace the entire expensive main board rather than swapping out RAM like we can on the XPS 15. Rather than reversing that design mistake, Dell appears to be doubling down." " Dell representatives wrote to Tom's Hardware. "Each product is a series of decisions based on what the customer needs, wants and will value. Today's notebook Jockey's.
