Looks like my tracking for the SP110 13900K shows it will be here on 12/12. Gonna be a long little wait.

Where did you find it?

What did you pay for this one vs the chips you sold?

I was wondering the same.

It was $50 more than what I sold

You lost money in the process? Paid $50 more that you sold your last one for? Sounds like a "Mr. Fox" bad luck experience, LOL.

Then you have good binned chips that will use more wattage than average retail chips. Look at Der8auers video of Alder lake. Good binned chips doesn't always mean lower wattage at same clock speed.

Unless it is due to poor silicon quality, more watts usually goes hand-in-hand with more performance. Lower wattage is never a goal for me. Lower voltage is good because it prevents heat, but I don't care how many watts it uses as long as it runs like a banshee. I don't consider low wattage a benefit, only a potential byproduct.

Yeah my idea was to list it at a price I'd be willing to sell and just keep using it while it was listed. I was actually playing WoW when I heard the ching ching of fleabay. I love the card (understatement) but I just can't reconcile sitting on a ~$2k card to play WoW and FO76 as much as I'd like to keep it for several reasons (EVGA last KPE, aesthetics, still games like a monster).

If you don't mind me asking, how much did it fetch? I might follow your example if it sold for enough. Not only do I love how the A770 looks, might be a great way for me to douse the flames of my benching addiction. I am already content with the modesty of the 3060 Ti FTW3 in my work PC. It games well enough and I'm not benching it. (Well, not benching it that much... just a little.)

No money lost. This new CPU is just a better sample than my last one, so I had to come out of pocket slightly more than what my last chip fetched. This new 13900K has SP121 P-Cores 😳 So I’m gonna just run this one long term. In the end I only paid $100 dollars for it, because I sold my Force 134, and my Force 124.

$1900.00 but it was a KPE 3090ti with all the limited run, best of, etc... mumbo jumbo. When everything is said and done I'm going to clear ~$1740 in my pocket so a -$260 differential from price paid but that included a 1600w P2 EVGA PSU I'm keeping and is in my rig for the foreseeable future as my main PSU.

Since you never knew the SP rating of your last two good chips, there is a slight chance this one could fair worse than either one of your two gooders. I just curious as to where it stacks up with a known SP rating.

Either way, you sold two of them at a profit so that takes care of a good chunk of the extra cost paid even if this one cost $50 more overall than your last gooder sold.

Nice sale on the 3090Ti KP!! We can’t fetch nearly that much for our regular 3090 KP’s even though it’s only a little slower lol. 😭

Force 134 was SP115-SP116 P-Cores from comparing to other guys who can read both MSI and Asus “Silicon Prediction” and also had a Force 134.

My Force 124 most likely had SP117-118 P-Cores based on another persons findings best case scenario is SP119 P-Cores. My Force 124 couldn’t do 6.3Ghz on single cores reliably. So it couldn’t possibly have been a SP120+ P-Core chip. It was still an incredible CPU though. It would do 5.8-6.2 with like 1.210 VROut voltage with 5.2 ring.

Anyone with a SP120+ is running 6.3 or 6.4 on their single cores though. This chip should be in another league all together.

Sugi’s chip is a Force 109, so I’d guess that this new chip is a minimum Force rating of 117 or probably even Force 114. And with really cold water it will be a Force 107-110.

I’m using educated speculation here lol. Of course all chips are different regardless of SP. We will find out it’s Force2 on the 12th though. I’m thinking Force 115 most likely on ambient water.

Bro @Mr. Fox You remember I posted info about Alphacool's new cheap powerful fans? They come in 120 and 140mm + up to 4000 rpm.

See Alphacools press release here. Check how the fans looks like in design and shape.

https://www.techpowerup.com/301430/alphacool-unveils-core-120-pwm-and-core-140-pwm-series-case-fans

I ordered these fans for the build to my middle son

I checked first Alphacool and then the web store Aquatuning who sell their products. I ordered from them.

The 140mm fan is exactly what they advertisee in look, shape and design. All good.

Then we have the 120mm fan. What I got looks more as a server fan.

The Manufacturer no.: 24845 is verified correct for my 120mm fans and what the Manufacturer + shop offer.

On the box with my fan it say Article no.: 24845. But what I got is something different.

What I got is on left. A server fan but with the correct article nr. Fan on the right is the correct fan I expected to get. This is so damn disgusting.

image.thumb.png.93b3d04117eca5967a25925b4d28351a.png

Even the EAN: 4250197248457 nr is correct stamped on the box I got but I didn't get what I ordered. Then compare the design vs server fans below. The fan I got have even an ugly colored cables. And the uvly colored cable is 30 cm. Not the 40 cm as advertised. This is not what they showed in the press release.

image.thumb.png.b653077b0343b03c9243c66fbbf8126e.png

See... Alphacool 120mm server fan. Stamped ES as well. Same design as the fan I got but with different label, and product numbers

image.png.ff4fc4e7d90bbae8cafd45bd01c21cef.png

Now I'm very angry. Soon Christmas and the  shipping is a problem before Christmas holidays.

Edit. And the cable is 30 cm. Not the 40 cm as advertised in the press release. The quality control is a huge disaster.

I’m gonna pull my Pora3 off of my test bench and put it inside a enclosure like @Mr. Fox has his, and then mount (9) of those Alphacool fans. 4000rpm is insane.

I'm a fan of Noctua's iPPC fans, but these Alphacool ones are supposedly even better performers at less than half the price! Buyers remorse kicking in now.😅

Ah well, it is what it is. Better stuff is always coming out. Now that I know about these Alphacool fans, I'm using them for future builds. The best thing that came from this is that I know have new knowledge.

I will conclude when I hear both fans (Alphacool vs Noctua). But from the correct one from mentioned brand. Not these ugly fans with Bling bling cables.  These server fans have different shapes on the blades. And I know how server fans sounds as😀 If I didn't bother with design, shape and sound I would go with Delta fans. More powerful and a lot more noisy.  + a lot more expensive.

But Alphacool and Aquatuning have to fix up their own disgusting mess. I don't accept getting parts I have never asked for. Yep, I'm older and the eyes ain't as it was in the early years.... But I'm not blind! Not at all.

Regarding how correct the air flow and static pressure specs is for these Alphacool fans... None know. It's well known that such type specs is overblown for cheaper models.

Edit. You can get 3.7 of the Alpahcool 120mm fans for one Noctua NF-F12 industrial PPC-3000. I posted about it two  weeks ago... But be sure you get the one you want. Not the one with bling bling cables, LOOL

Replacement AX1600i has the same wobbly power cord connection issue, hence the discount I guess. Fortunately, with@Mr. Fox's electrical tape hack the fit is almost perfect. Thanks a lot bro. I'm going it give the unit a go, despite the poor first impression.

Put it this way. When scalpers struggling hard sell their 4080 cards, even Jensen should grasp reality that the prices for 4080 is all too high. Nvidia have nothing new to offer outside the 4090. People will rather buy new than 2 years old cards for sub $1000. And AMD can offer this if they is able to increase production of 7000 series cards. How many of the 4090 are nvidia able to throw out to keep up maximum profits? Christmas season is soon here. What do you think Nvidia will do if they can’t offer what the people want? Air and love?😀

Even scalpers don't want the GeForce RTX 4080 pcworld.com

Scalpers can't sell them, retailers don't want them back, and Nvidia may be forced into an early price cut for the GeForce RTX 4080.

The ugly prices got a face😀

Could turn out nice, eventually, for a person that wants to own a second-fiddle GPU. Personally, I only want flagship X090/X090 Ti or budget X060/X060 Ti. The middle-ground mediocrity stuff like X070 and X080 is replusive to me.

Could be Nvidia will get some help from AMD. Ryzen Zen3 5000 series platform had problems near two years. And if this is correc, then this will sure help Nvidia sell overpriced cards for Christmas season.

Another source wrote me about specific driver problems, where memory leaks are said to have occurred, which could affect performance and lead to freezes, which are also said to have caused delays.

While AMD has already shown the reference cards of the Radeon RX 7900XT(X) several times and has also confirmed the launch on December 13th, 2022, you may have to put a question mark behind the models and quantities actually available on this day

That RTX4080 is still blazing fast though. It does its job. It’s really not middle ground is it. The **80 series of GPU’s was always the high end I thought. While **70 or **60 was mid range.

I am turning my AMD Threadripper system into a server. I have already replaced the custom water loop with an IceGiant ProSiphon Elite (my first personal "air" cooler in over 15 years), 128GB of TridentZ Neo 3600 DDR4, one Asus HYPER M.2 X16 GEN 4 Card (of which houses two 8TB NVMe drives and two 4TB NVMe drives) and I think I'm going to use the 6900XT in this (since linux plays extremely well with AMD GPU's at this point) and "downgrade" from the EVGA 3090 FTW3 Ultra Hybrid. I want to find a "server" style case that can accept 6 to 10 hard drives.

On another note it’s kinda funny how we pick on the 4080 for being $1,200.

Because in reality it’s 25% cheaper than a 4090 while only being 29% slower too. That’s not bad. We are literally getting exactly what we pay for. Now it’s about to become even cheaper!

We have had big performance jumps before on xx80 Skus. But not +70% price increase. Mostly 10-15% up from previous gen or even flat. 4080 is a bad value. Very bad value. Take a look on pricing for xx80 and even older x80. If people think a big performance uplift can defend this scalping maybe they then deserve it.

For the records. Also 4090 is bad value. All too expensive.

Replacement AX1600i has the same wobbly power cord connection issue, hence the discount I guess. Fortunately, with@Mr. Fox's electrical tape hack the fit is almost perfect. Thanks a lot bro. I'm going it give the unit a go, despite the poor first impression.

I know both my EVGA 1600's (T2 and P2) had/have a slightly loose socket. The power cable itself mounts firmly in it but the socket itself is flexible a bit. I thought this was for the heft and weight of the cable and support.

I think it is appropriate that the 4080 is 25% cheaper than 4090. What is not appropriate is the 4090 is overpriced by about $1000. So, they are both ridiculously overpriced and represent a horrible value. Neither one is worth the amount of money they want for them.  Totally absurd.

I probably still wouldn't buy a new GPU even if the price was appropriate due to lack of Windows 7 driver support. But, certainly not at the asinine current price.

Looks like Alienware is reviving their 18 inch laptop model: https://www.pcmag.com/news/alienware-is-reviving-the-brands-18-inch-gaming-laptop

So we have Razer and Alienware announcing new 18 inch laptops. I'm liking this since it looks like we'll see the reemergence of 18 inch laptops. I'm hoping they're now here to stay since I like big screens and a big chassis. Hopefully there's at least one option that doesn't suck. Clevo definitely has an opportunity here to come in and completely curb stomp on the competition with a new model themselves.

Here's to hoping!😁

A770 is available on Newegg.com if anyone is looking for one.

AWESOME!!!

wait, Limit (20) per customer??!! What is wrong with Newegg.. My gosh they are cold. They must be pro scalper huh?

I may finally let go of my EVGA 3090 KP HC and buy (2) of the Arc 770’s. Then I could run one in my system, and put the other in my 11900K system and play games with my son!
