Thank you for your reply.

I have received the BIOS that supports 64GB of RAM.
Could you please confirm if the update procedure for this BIOS is the same as that for Prema Mod? Also, could you please explain how to modify the 1394 ID?

Will using this BIOS enable support for 64GB of RAM?
Additionally, which memory modules should I use?

The previous post made by yourself mentioned that P570WM and P570WM3 have different BIOS file names.

If you got the file specifically for P570WM3, you must replace IvtQpiandMrcInit module with MMTool. UEFITool might seem to work but according to my experience it failed to boot.

Hey did you flash? I can't find the P570WM337.PM5

By the way did any of you overclocked the Xeon E5-1680 v2 on this laptop?

I'm always stuck at 3.9GHz for one core and 3.8GHz all cores.

The temperatures are good and I use 660W PSU.

P570WM337.PM5 should be the prema mod for P570WM3, the 3D vision model I think? @Tetsu

I can find official BIOS (not prema mod) for both the non-3D-Vision and 3D-Vision model here:

It looks complicated.

If you can get the original modder to make an easy english tutorial like my backlight mod cables instructions.

Also, why does the Xeon E5-1680 v2 can't be overclocked? I am stuck at 3.8GHz all core and 3.9GHz in single core. It's an unlocked 8 cores CPU. I want to do 4.2GHz one core and 4.1GHz all core. I don't have any thermal throttle. The CPU does max 130W while I set the limits way higher.

Thank you for your reply.

I checked the files using MMTool and compared the 64GB-compatible BIOS with Prema Mod v5; I found no differences in the source code or GUIDs for the "IvtQpiandMrcInit" project.

Could it be that I am checking the wrong area?

In the screenshot, the 64GB-compatible BIOS is on the left, and Prema Mod v5 is on the right.

you are comaring the unique IDs (GUID) and sizes (in hexadecimal) of the module between two BIOS files. It's totally normal that these two share exactly the same value, same ID, same size - totally normal and expected. That does NOT mean the content/code is the same.

Also, I asked BufferMod and he said 3D-vision model and non-3D-vision model can share one singe prema mod BIOS file.

How do we install the BIOS mod then on the P570WM3?

There should be a in-BIOS update picker if I recalled correctly.

Official method to update the BIOS requires MS-DOS environment. You may include the BIOS binary file together with AFUDOS.exe utility into the memdisk image.

Did you successfully install the BIOS on your P570WM3?

I know you have one because before I tried to send you a friend request on Discord about purchasing a P570WM.

Can buffermod allow Xeon E5-1680 v2 overclock past 4GHz? I am stuck at 3.8GHz all cores, no matter what I do. The BIOS overclocking doesn't like the 8 cores. Only 6 cores overclocking works like 4.2, 4.5Ghz..

それでは、P570WM3にBIOS改造をインストールするにはどうすればいいですか?

When I installed the Prema Mod, I used Rufus to create a bootable USB drive (formatted as MS-DOS) and simply copied the BIOS data onto it.
Then, I plugged the USB drive into a USB 2.0 port, set the boot order to prioritize that drive, and—after booting up—typed "update" to run the batch file.

After that, I simply followed the on-screen instructions.

If you have the Prema mod, a readme file is included, so it is a good idea to check it.
It contains the update instructions.

Additionally, the update procedure for the modified BIOS is likely almost the same.

After the update, a "1394 GUID error" will likely occur, so a fix will be required.

I already have the Prema mod installed. Did you install the 64GB RAM, PCIE 3.0 patch? Successful?
