  1. better late than never i guess? haha but yeah those 3000 series mxm cards are rare and helluva expensive...
  2. dude, with that glare i might even get a nice tan while gaming lulz did u build it for urself or to sell it? not clear on that...in any case, super clean! ah yes, everyone welcome @Premato NBT, looks like he's just starting out as a noob bencher, let's be sure and help him out with long-standing experience 😁
  3. judging by the desktop parts, it "shouldnt" be more expensive, maybe max. 100 USD additionally. one more timing set in: 6400-30-40-40 IF2133 but now i gotta pause tuning, off to vacay! exciting, gonna be the first time with the lil one. curious to see how she will react to seeing the sea for the first time in her young life 😄 wish us luck boiiiiiiiizzzzzz
  4. lol, i mean....u even named ur profile after it hahaha. whats the gameplay like, any good? i must say u peaked my interest with that screenshot 😛
  5. the DIMMs max out at 50/52 C. but i plan to optimize the voltages once im done with subtimings. i might go back and retest the timings once i got a voltage range figured out, should lower peak temps considerably, potentially allowing me to avoid errors more. its a finicky balance as we all know haha.
  6. i for one dooont miiind at all ahaha. the longer the better, might as well get max mileage out of this setup 😁 ha, at the current price trends shouldnt take long for that. but beware, the RAM "schweinezyklus" (german for "pig cycle" lulz) will bite you in the butt if you wait too long. recent forecasts show that by end of this year RAM prices will be increasing again! have u searched for inofficial beta bioses? my RAM tuning so far: 6400 Mhz, 2133 Mhz IF (2167 provides less performance and 2200 aint stable anymore), CL30 (can go down to CL26, but BSODS right away, CL28 keeps up for about 2 hours in ABSOLUT@anta777 in tm5, bit then starts throwing errors). now continuing onwards with all subtimings, one by one 😋 i got a good feeling about this, should deffo be more performant than my previous 6600 sticks....once im done with gear 1 ill check and see how far gear 2 can go mwahaha. fun times! btw, the dimms max out at 50/52C with a 140 mm fan pointed directly at them. thats at 1.6V VDD/VDDQ. once i dialed in all the timings ill follow up with voltage testing, drop it down as far as possible while maintaining stability 🙂
  7. phoenix os is great, unfortunately their website has been down since last year...but u can still get their latest w10 amd w11 builds if u google for them 🙂 based on the reports ive seen should be similar for MSI boards 🙂 lets gooooooooo 😁 oh yeah, that case also peaked my interest since im sporting the regular enthoo pro II and super happy with it. more space is more better in a case haha.
  8. sounds like they have collector's item status... ooooh i remember that one when i got released! wow seems like ages ago....
  9. that would certainly open up tuning headroom 🙂
  10. new v1516 beta bios dropped for my x670eeeeeeee (how many extremes do we need in a product name? lulz) and i couldnt resist, flashed it and did some quick testing: it does indeed improve ram capabilities even at 1:1 synchronous / Gear 1, able to boot at 6600, currently stresstesting 6400. i was stuck at 6200 previously :) good tweaking times ahead!
  11. any comparable reports from other users on similar finicky behaviour? this is at stock clocks?
  12. so far i havent really gotten around to tuning my 7950x, just some preliminary UV and boost extensions. so far only 4090 and RAM tweaking 🙂 if i finally get around to it ill be sure to report anything annoying / disappointing haha
  13. agreed, capacity becomes a more dominant factor in these regions.
  14. welp cant blame him for that after what Asus pulled with their beta bios limiting SoC voltage (to fix exploding CPUs) but at the same time voiding warranty 😛 as for his issues...dont know the full details but last thing i remember him mentioning was that he couldnt just set XMP and go but had to manually downclock to ensure stability.... anyone whos spent more than a minute RAM tweaking knows thats not how it works 😄 irrespective of the platform. from my personal experience, the only gripe i had with AM5 thus far was that initially, getting into bios wasnt straight forward. if i was running off the dGPU via displayport, id never get the splash screen to enter Bios via F2 / Del, it would just boot straight into windows. so i purchased a USB4 to DP adapter cable to be able and switch monitor output to the iGPU quickly. once on the iGPU the splash screen for entering bios DID show up. this has since been rectified via bios updates. other than that, havent had any platform stability issues whatsoever, very happy with my system 🙂 (even on an Asus Crosshair mobo 😛 😄 )
  15. watching it right now, you misheard. hes gonna use the evga rig as his workstation at work. the AM5 build is his private rig at home 🙂 but yeah, he does that a lot, just dumping drives from one machine into another, triggers me every time 🥲 btw hes running a 7950x3d, but initially he was on a 7950x.
  16. welp, maaaybe bandwidth wise but latency should be quite worse...so depends on your applications.
  17. give us those deetz! and i totally feel ya with regards to tinkering time....if im lucky i can MAYBE free up an hour a day, while cutting into my sleep time 😅 nice i JUST saw that video drop before i check on NBT 😄 should be awesome!
  18. but wait, the post mentions M18 owners having trouble running 96GB ram on their machines? so its not straight forward, although the workaround seems easy enough. also mentions that only 4800 mhz base speed is possible, but that might be due to higher mem density...
  19. nothing serious, just the rgb strip on one of the dimms gave out on me. nothing revived it, switched ram slots, reset bios, updated bios, tried various rgb tools, reinstalled windows (for a different reason), no dice. dont actually care about the rgb lighting on the ram since i switch it off to get 10C better temps for OC purposes (got a 140mm fan blocking the view to the ram dimms anyways hahaha, thats another 10C off the sticks!). but i want them in fully functional shape before selling them off 🙂 yeah thats a hassle with beta bios versions. but still, i dont complain, its another world coming from laptops after 15 years! bro @Mr. Foxnormally id agree with u, its just a name / designation regarding beta bios, but in this case ive already seen reports of the asus beta bios still being buggy so im waiting a bit for the next release, see what that brings. as we all know, newer is ALWAYS BETTER 😁
  20. lets goooooooo! currently preparing my 6600 kit for warranty RMA at G.Skill in the Netherlands, curious to see how long itll take. So far the process was pretty smooth. Holding back on tuning my new 8200 kit until the new agesa bios hits final status. dont wanna start all over switching from beta to final haha. especially not with smth as time consuming as ram tuning...
  21. btw, switched to my new DDR5-8200 Teamgroup kit yesterday, now rocking 48 GB RAM, noice 🙂 Havent started tuning yet, waiting for the final bios release of Agesa 1.0.0.7b first to check and see how far i can push things mwahaha.
  22. haha i cant check right now but id wager way off! with good reason though, i got several programs and processes automated at startup for my workflows 🙂
  23. 1.4 GB RAM usage, waaay too much. sub 1 GB or go home 😛 😄
