    The m4000 I have in there has worked fine since I've had it in there, it runs hot but those old amd cards usually do. Older games only at appropriate settings, I think Witcher 3 is at 900 or 720p last I played it on there. It comes up as 7700m or something series in the amd driver software that win10 LTSC downloaded automatically. I'm not able to use the keyboard shortcuts to adjust screen brightness though I think I can do it within the amd driver software.

    Finally got around to watching the last two main line star wars movies and I'm just meh, there were lots of cringe moments as well seems almost like a variety show rather than a focused story to me and I'm glad we won't have to see any of those actors in those roles again, or ever again as far as I'm concerned. I mean the effects were amazing but all the rest was just nonsensical and all over the place. Deus ex machina is used and abused. I thought Force Awakens was pretty good but I just lost the convoluted story. 4-6 will always be the real star wars to me, with 3 and 7 being pretty good.

    Yeah and Depp will be fine, there was no need to sue the Sun or go through this farce put on by the very weird state of Virginia. So he seemed to have lost at least one role, not the pirates one, from all this big deal it's a speed bump. Depp is just not athletic enough to do Pirates anymore, weird body type(ahem) just doesn't work. Just being that famous is lots of money in the bank, even older faded stars can come back and make millions, Burt Reynolds and others came back, even Tyson who went to prison for 3 years over domestic abuse has done plenty since then etc Depp apparently has had financial problems but come on he still has a private island for Gods sake, it was mentioned in the case and probably several properties etc so just sell a couple, amazing to me what just compound interest would pay out on the tens of millions these types have, not to mention even the most conservative investments over that. Most people could retire,while still young, comfortably on 5-10% of what most major celebrities have with a pretty nice lifestyle. Heard was dating one of the richest men in the world and is supposedly worth 10mil or so, put together another decade or so before all that surgery starts falling apart, and you have a few more millions as an actress, the 7mil she got from the depp marriage etc sheesh all around.

    I'm pretty sure the m5100 is the most powerful card this system will take. I can't remember which version works though. I tried one a few years ago but could never get it to work, there are blue, red and green pcb versions. I think I tried the blue pcb version. The m5950 should work as well but I think it's actually LESS powerful than the m4000/m5100, not worth it to tear the thing apart for. So in order of gaming performance it would be m5100, m4000, m5950. From what I can make out the w5170m is the same as the m5100.

    I've been following the trial and it made no sense imo. Depp sued Heard for defamation about an op-ed which was about domestic abuse, claiming that Heard was referring to Depp and that it was false and hurt his career. Afa I can tell all Heard needed to do was come up with some proof that she(ahem) was referring to someone else or to some other situation she had personal experience with and back it up with some proof, or maybe just flatly deny it with the burden of proof being on him. Well H never really seemed to even attempt it, and she further proved his(ahem) case by only focusing in on his alleged abuse, so she effectively confirmed his position about the identity of the alleged abuser described in the op-ed. On top of that the UK trial pretty much made it impossible for Heard to claim the Op-Ed wasn't about Depp. He should have sued for a trillion dollars why not? guaranteed win in the aspect of who the op ed was about, even if you just win that part(a home run) and not the other parts it's still a huge award even if just 5% of the amount. The abuse seems to have been a bit on both sides and the other part about hurting his career is too subjective imo to ever conclusively prove. Her legal team was more focused on the counterclaim of career sabotage/defamation, offsetting the possible 50mil loss with 100mil win. But again, damage to career is a very hard thing to prove in any objective way, so only swaying a jury's emotions/opinions would really work, grasping at straws in the dark. Depp won all counts and was awarded 15mil but will only get 10mil and change. Heard won one count of defamation against a lawyer of Depps for 2mil. I'm not sure why that was included in this trial as it was not against Depp but one of his lawyers statements, doesn't the lawyer deserve his own trial? All the other circus level filler stuff is inconclusive as to abuse, looked like overall both were abusive in different places but there was audio of H admitting hitting Depp. Depp did some nasty texts to a third party and some less nasty to Heard. Depp claimed his severed finger was from a bottle thrown by Heard, bollocks. There was ONE pic of Heard which she claims is proof of physical abuse, which looked photoshopped. IMO there was nothing that points to more than just two people whose tempers flared on certain occasions. Depp freely admits to substance abuse and claims to have gone through treatment. I don't know how the UK trial found anything conclusive, looks like they just didn't want to bother muzzling or fining a tabloid newspaper for the words "wife beater" really. Depp drew attention to it more with the UK lawsuit more than anything else. Another thing I read is that Heard won't even have to pay for legal fees because renters insurance or homeowners insurance will pay those fees? Huh? Probably at least in the hundreds of thousands of dollars in fees paid by renters/homeowners insurance!? I guess if that's true it makes sense for H to not even attempt to prove the Op-Ed wasn't about D, H won't pay legal fees anyways and it's well known that monetary judgements are never anywhere near what is asked, maybe Musk assured H he'd pay any loss who knows. Whole thing was a circus TV show really, and it was eye opening to see these two and the various people involved in a court setting, including the judge, for me at least.

    Still just use a mix for different purposes, when I travel I use opera with it's free built in vpn when I'm using hotel or public wifi but not otherwise bc there's no way to have it delete all cookies/data upon exit like waterfox/firefox/palemoon. Love the extensions of firefox and variants.

    That would be great, I came back to gaming as an adult well into the 3D FO3-FNV-FO4 era so missed the early ones and by the time I got into FO series I was not really into the 2d old school when I tried them. I wish 76 had a proper single player offline option, draw the line at always online multiplayer etc

    Yeah it was easy to see with the ownership if you know what I mean, and just the general scam of marketing that is so prevalent today, essentially legalized lying/fraud. All of this tech has back doors etc I don't believe there is any anonymity at all with tech of any kind.

    I haven't seen much new stuff I'm interested in lately it's kind of a drought which is fine, of course I have not gone through old stuff I have not played yet though. Was looking at Soda Crisis as a short little simple game may give it a shot(pun intended lol). Still just fine COH1 skirmish, kind of like my grandma used to play solitaire while watching tv lol

    Hm didn't know that about SeW thought it snowed there a bit but I was surprised about how flat/dry eastern oregon is so I guess that's just right north. Want to see it, yakima, spokane etc have to plan a trip up there. Always kind of liked Boise but only ever drove through there. PNW Coastal temps are colder and stable, same daytime as night time a lot of the year, I love that and it's so green. I don't like humidity either but at lower temps it's not as bad as high temps. One good thing about AZ/Sutah etc deserts is you're not that far from higher elevations that are much cooler for weekend trips. I still loves the ocean though.

    yeah I prefer a moderate climate, it can have all 4 seasons just not extremes. The mid lats conus coast is ideal. More rainy fine with me, in the desert it's nose bleeds and allergies, living in AC for a few months a year not good imo. Rather have the pnw rains than snow. In socal it's so sunny all the time you really take it for granted and it rarely gets cleaned out by inclement weather.

    Rewatched Grease after a few years, forgot how I loved this movie, catchy tunes and great dance numbers. This is pretty close to my fav musical along with Singing in the Rain. ONJ so adorable in this.

    Saw this on dsog and thought I'd share it. The remastered versions of the first two and infinite are free on epic. Great games loved them when I played, I especially like Infinite, amazing art and setting and for it's time it had amazing graphics imo, still does. Only thing I didn't like was in infinite, either one of the dlc or the main story, you have to take part in a torture session which breaks the fourth wall in a very disturbing way. A similar thing happens in GTAV if you recall. I mean yes most gaming is just fighting/killing but those two examples are much more intimate, first person and grisly. At least in most games you're fighting with those who who can and do fight back and attack out of nefarious motives as per the story.     It's just a UE5 showpiece really nothing to do with RS or San Andreas. I never got the remaster of San Andreas so couldn't say how it stacks up against this short, I don't know why RS would not use it's own engine for GTA6. TBH it doesn't look mind bendingly amazing but part of that could be that I don't have a 4k screen.

    Agree with the others, that's like paying regular price for service/parts at the car dealership, gouging prices for those who don't know any better/don't bother to shop around. Parts People may have some refurb dell parts and components but they are not as competitive as the open market or third party. Compatibility wise most third party manuf will tell you or list it's compatibility in the details, individuals off eb etc will probably tell you if you ask too.

    Finally watched the new Dune film, it has stunning cinematography and more subtle understated tech and staging but idk I guess I'm just too much into wanting some form of friendly popcorn showmanship in films even with the cheesiness, rather than the moody serious hazy malaise that seems to be in vogue. The color palette is darker and somber, kind of a downer tbh. I still like watching the 84 Dune better even if it's not considered a good film and apparently cut out a ton of the stuff from the books, which I've never read. The actors in the 84 version were better cast, they looked like the parts they played and just acted the parts better imo. New Dune was too meandering and ponderous and it's only part 1. I have not heard that part 2 is even being made. Music was not as good as 84 either. Idk maybe it needs a rewatch to form a full opinion. I noticed it was directed by the same guy who did Bladerunner 2049 so that might have contributed to my slight dislike.

    You must mean 121 GB, I still have this annoying game installed somewhere and it's north of 70 GB and not even the ultimate edition w all those DLCs etc Thought I'd go back to it for side missions etc but haven't been back. BL 2 is my favorite by far.

    Rewatched The Last Boy Scout and it is very nearly a noir film, the cynical detective, serpentine story of corruption and murder, LA setting, overall dark high contrast moody lighting, a few rain soaked scenes like the amazing opening which is probably why this film is obscure, the NFL overlords are very protective of their circus. Like the Chandler Spade films I could have seen this as a series of films with the same PI.

    Some old classics like the original twilight zone, andy griffith here and there, bonanza. Also The Blue Planet doco which has some really nice underwater photography really nice and South Pacific doco really chill soundtrack with some breathtaking shots looking down onto those amazing atolls etc

    yeah I know I have that too, I think it came out a while ago. I saw that about ocarina but the old zeldas don't hugely interest me tbh. The patcher for the odyssey mod, which we were talking about wouldn't work for the reverse engineered version AFAIK. You need a rom for it to patch the mod into it. I have a few emulators that I use for various systems that work just fine though.. Mesen is really easy to use for both snes and nes. Project 64 is pretty easy to use and I don't really emulate 64 much anyways so it's not critical to make it more accurate etc

    I actually just loaded it up w project64 and after using the hack to get it going in the first video comment it worked fine. I think it's setting one of the config settings ram from 4mb to 8mb, otherwise it crashes. I've played odyssey all the way through on switch it definitely is a good n64 depiction of it, seems like a cool way to play it on a low hardware usage, here and there run through.
