  1. Borderlands 2 has to be my #1 of all time. The characters and dialogue were fantastic and really drew you into the game. I put well over 1000 hours into that one. Spent a lot of long nights getting all the special weapons in Goldeneye on the N64. Some of those were near impossible. That was a great multiplayer game at the time.
  2. I'd also vote for the Precision based on what it's being used for. The drivers for the Quadro are optimised for what she needs and the larger screen is a must.
  3. I'll be looking forward to your review. Post your Youtube link when you've done it 😉 It's actually the only AW laptop that I've been interested in looking at for some time.
  4. iPhone XR - Product RED. Had it since release in late 2018. I used to update my phones regularly but this one does what I need and I can spend my money on new golf clubs instead.
  5. In my opinion, a lot of the time they just help with some extra airflow under the laptop but a couple of post-it pads will do the same thing. Unless you remove the bottom panel of the laptop then you're never really going to get the full potential of a fan(s) blowing air up from underneath. If you're getting a 2-4 deg reduction then it is still better than nothing. Most laptops also have their heatsink exhaust fans trying to push the hot air out the bottom of the chassis and most laptop coolers are trying to push air into these same vents. It seems counterproductive. Having the cooler set up as an exhaust almost seems like a better option. Saying this, I still have my Coolermaster SF-19 V2 under my M18x as it was the only one big enough for the 18" laptop. The exhaust fans push the air out of grill at the rear of the chassis rather than down so that probably helps. I've never done any thermal testing in the 10 years of owning the laptop though. The laptop sits up on the rubber pieces so it gives a few extra mm of clearance for airflow.
  6. An X13 would have been a little more interesting to me. I still don't think I could ever buy a laptop with soldered memory though. The lack of display options is a bit of a letdown as well. Maybe they could have found more options in 13" (OLED touchscreen perhaps?....)
  7. That sounds pretty crappy and not fun when you've spent time and money on something. Will be interesting to see if anyone does anything with the domain.
  8. Yeah I got that message when I switched to Edge. On my Chrome browser it just gives me the error. Only have those two browser options on my work PC.
  9. Is Spartan's site still running? Just went to check it out and got a 'This site can't be reached' error.

  11. Yep, looks square to me compared to the other one. Ebay strikes again! If they can save 50c they will. Just look at the 18 motherboard. They put cheaper components on them and had lots of issues. Probably saved them about $5 per board.
  12. I've heard people say before that the CPU heatsinks are interchangeable but I've never tested it myself. If you Google 00VMK2 it shows it being for both models.
  13. Actually, take a look at this one. Excellent price for the triple heatsink! Apparently the M18x and 18 use the same one. Dell Part# 00VMK2 https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/174802775477?hash=item28b30eadb5:g:PfMAAOSwVtZaB9m0&frcectupt=true Wait, screw that one. Check this one out! $7!!
  14. Just out of interests sake, what would you be willing to spend on a 3920XM with triple pipe heatsink? Since I no longer have my 1070 the XM chip is kind of a waste, even though it would be sad to get rid of it. Damn thing cost me $1000 back in 2012 🤪
  15. Alienware Area-51 M15x (Pre-Dell) https://www.dropbox.com/sh/4zxnhs1kkg8u68d/AABs5FkJbU_yFTzbP1rpxaSqa?dl=0
  16. Yeah it was definitely a screw job. They had obviously been keeping track of the threads towards the end and deliberately omitted the new options. Like why would they really post a sub-reddit as a viable option and on the top of the list?
  17. There was a little voice in my head that was saying NBR would still be there today when I woke up, that voice was wrong.
  18. Cool. I remember back in the day using Winamp and the plugin to get the lights to pulse with the beat. You could set every lighting zone differently to react to different beats/rhythms. I haven't thought about that for a long time.
  19. I forgot to take pics of the flash utility while I was using it. I guess I could set it all again though.
  20. Not sure sorry. I'll have to check if the other guys have tried anything other than Samsung. I'll let you know if I find out.
  21. Yeah I remember seeing that video years ago, pretty cool idea. Pun intended
