it would be much more informative if we could see starting, average, and final temps,

It may happen that we will land there... UL/Futuremark have the bad habit destroying own products (add in more and more monitoring/and other tasks in their system info software that will steal/eat even more clock cycles). And thats bad news for laptop benchers with already destroyed hardware from the OEMs, HaHa

  • fixed: sensor support for Aqua Computer LeakShield with FW 1019
  • fixed: motherboard specific sensor info for MSI MS-7D40

I posted this on Tuesday. I have had no more issues with DDR5 DIMM temperature sensors randomly disappearing from OSD or Sensor Panel on either desktop since updating to version 6.85.6329.

The 4090 Suprim shipped from MSI in Fontana, CA this morning and was scheduled to arrive Monday. I am going to be out of town until Thursday evening, so I had the carrier change the delivery date to Friday. If the sample is a good one and I don't need to RMA it due to crappy silicon quality, I will order an Alphacool Eisblock Aurora waterblock for it next weekend.

Really looking forward to some blocked results versus MSI's Hybrid implementation. See how it stacks up (no chiller) versus your Hybrid vs blocked KPE 3090 runs (no chiller) in terms of cooling deltas then the chilled data.

still no clue if you are actually getting 100w from that 3060,
did you confirm with HWiNFO you are getting 100w on your runs?

(leave it open minimized during a bench run then check the max wattage usage,
you will get a lower score on that run but that's not the point)

max 116w

not bad if your TGP is 100w,
seems that you are overclocked already :classic_huh:

boost i think is already in the 100W TGP scope not plus,
if that was the case i should have 25w boost on my card for total of 175w (not happening),

i ran msi afterburner and monitored tgp it was a constant 115w

this is why i am frustrated

https://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-GeForce-RTX-3060-Mobile-GPU-Benchmarks-and-Specs.497453.0.html

scroll down to timespy and look at top scores .. a 115w 3060 scores 9500 stock

and to passerbys

the reason for all of this is so I can push my system to the llimits but more importantly get over 60fps in crysis remasted while running and shooting ect basically always above 60fps maxed with raytracing set to performance in 1080p....heres an example

your score is not the best but its not the worst either, you are well above the average score in top 80% just not first, the physical silicon bin is a factor and they are not all the same even though they are made the same way,

prob redundant is resizable bar enabled in both bios and nvidia game profile?

Maybe HP forgot to pay the kickback to UL/Futuremark to include your hardware ID in the SystemInfo scan so it doesn't produce fake scores like the OEMs that remembered to send a check to UL.

i did everything you guys said

not everything!

you want to bump that score to +9k put your omen in the freezer for 5 min,

(make sure your bench window is ready to press go) after 5-10 min open the freezer and run the bench keeping the unit in the freezer closed for the duration (i have a remote client so i can just run the bench remotely without opening the freezer for the "special sauce"),

sounds risky like crackling ice in water

chances are i wont be playing in a freezer lol..ha but yeah im just looking for tops in scores under reasonable conditions,\wait maybe if jeff bezos allowed me a trip to space i could have my laptop at absolute zero and pending his response maybe hed be generous enough to allow me to play assualt level in crysis...lmao or get a 4090

you can leave it for an hour it will be fine, 10 min will do nothing but bit of cold air condensation on the screen which will evaporate 30 seconds after you pull it out, I have done it numerous time for way longer then 15 min, you cannot actually freeze the insides there's still air motion and heat circulating it will take several hours to actually freeze the system or cause any damage, the system will likely turn itself off and will not turn back on until its self dry if you ever left it for hours in the freezer,

think about it people live in cold climates and it happens every day that they forget their laptop outside in freezing cold weather, manufactures are well aware and prepared,

i can also tell you that LM TIM doesn't like freezer temps, but regular paste does well in low temps,

the impossible is not impossible, its just haven't been done yet.

maybe i could travel to a colder planet and just run a bench on the alien planet outside....seems like a reasonable idea

serious question do you know of any cold exo planets...ill ready my spaceship

yep, no need to fire up the spaceship there's a small one in your freezer!
though it doesn't get as cold as outside temps get its still good enough for bragging rights bench 😉

on planet kepler 5067 i was scoring 9212

im willing to put my money on you getting well over that on planet earth ground zero > inside your freezer 😊

you've seen the scores and the average temps they run at, these systems can hold some cold,
nothing freezes in 30 min not even close especially with moving air and heat generated,

the end average was not even close to zero as heat builds up,
it just helps allowing components to run cooler and faster without heat building up rapidly,

We have lots of below zero weather for all of you...except @Papusan here in Connecticut. Right now 15F (-9.4C), but with the wind chill 3 degrees. It is going negative tonight and most of tomorrow. Perhaps it is a garage overclocking type of night.

@ryan

did you ever repaste your cpu and dgpu or you still with stock manufactures paste?

one piece of information we don't know is if any of these top scores were with LM TIM application,

(done right LM TIM application roughly equals 5-10% overall performance increase)
