Just got my new Intel Arc 3 A350M. https://www.3dmark.com/pr/1525083

Destroyed my 3090 Ti score. 😁

Nice! So, as usual, the talking heads on YouTube are either pathological liars or they're as stupid as a box of rocks, eh? The irrational Intel/NVIDIA hate and AMD man-boy love thing is too disgusting for words.

How do Fire Strike and Time Spy scores look compared to 3090/Ti? I care more about them than I do Port Royal.

Please post some photos and let us know where you purchased it and how much.

Happy Memorial Day, everyone! Thank you to all who have served this country, and blessings to the families who have lost loved ones fighting to defend what true Americans hold dear.

Wait... are you pulling our leg Brother @Talon?

Why does it say Arc 3 A350M at the top of the benchmark result, but in the system details it shows 3090 Ti? Did you mess with the NVIDIA driver INF file to make Windows call it something different. 😉

It's not even April 1st. Maybe Intel slipped someone at UL/Futuremark a few greenbacks to mess things up and enhance brand recognition for the incoming ARC product line.

I might be more inclined to buy an ARC GPU versus an AMD GPU if I were going to buy a new GPU. I am glad the Green Goblin might have two competitors finally, but I don't like the idea of spending any of my money on AMD.

All too early jump on graphics cards from Intel. And AMD won't get my money. So there is only one option left for me. Hate Nvidia's business practice, but they are the only option. At least for me.

Nvidia rumored to launch RTX 4090 first, RTX 4080 and RTX 4070 to follow

Probably so. Macro$lop Winduhz 11 is the technology application of the old joke "you were such an ugly child that your parents had to tie a pork chop around your neck to get the dogs to play with you" LOL.

Even the "Insiders" don't really like the latest abortion. 22K views and only 397 likes. That is a 1.8% approval rating on their "Task Manager Features" webcast. That's even lower than the POTUS approval rating.

The Remond Reprobates' idea of "special" is having the new Task Manager color scheme match the applied Winduhz color theme and having a pop-out hamburger menu instead of top navigation. Whooopeee-dooo. As if that even matters. They've totally lost touch with what is important. They have no idea what is important. They just make up stupid **** and tell their sheeple what to think about it.

And funnily enough they're running Windows 11 themselves on "unsupported" hardware. If you go to 22:08 in the video, you'll see that this dev is using an i7 7660U.

So this just confirms the high hardware requirements for Windows 11 are artificial. Any computer that can run Windows 10 well can run Windows 11 well. The only thing you'll miss out on is security features if you force Windows 11 to run on unsupported hardware, which I personally don't care about. I only care about performance. I don't think the new security features are really that beneficial to the average consumer. It would benefit corporations more.

Also it seems the UI changes just make things look prettier at the cost of introducing extra steps to complete tasks. It is possible to make stuff look prettier while maintining the same level of productivity you had before, or even improving productivity. However, that is not the case here.

Yeah, the rules don't apply to them. It seems like the people anointed to make up the rules often exempt themselves. I believe a fair amount of the "security" stuff is a gimmick that was created to generate money on fixes.

It is a very inefficient UI, and that is putting it kindly. It takes more mouse clicks to do most things. Personally, I find the Winduhz 11 GUI extremely unattractive as well. Almost everything about its appearance is unattractive to me. The only thing I have been able to identify that is improved in terms of efficiency/ease of use is the Settings app. Performance is diminished in Winduhz 11.

But, but.... Do you want some Stickers on your Windows desktop?

Microsoft is working on integrating support for placing stickers on the Windows 11 desktop. Users who run a recent Windows 11 version 22H2 Insider build can enable the functionality to test it

The Windows 11 Microsoft Store opens up to all Win32 apps... oh, and ads, too

Isn't fancy stickers on the desktop and Ads on their refreshed Store a good thing? I'm not so sure they have lost their touch🤪 They are improving in stupidity and what they think you'll want from them. They just deliver, bro Fox. In loads.

For those who have played around with the first generation Core i series mobile chips (Clarksfield/Arrandale,) was the overclocking done by adjusting the BCLK or changing the multiplier for the CPUs?

Also, was the overclocking locked by the chipset, or were certain SKUs of CPUs locked/unlocked?

You could play both with multi and bus speed. The XM was unlocked (how much/high depending on the laptop OEM).

Just for clarification then, all of the CPUs could be overclocked by adjusting the bus speed, but only the 920XM and 940XM could be overclocked by both the bus speed and multiplier?

As I said it depends on the laptop OEM. But for the XM you could clock both (still if the OEM let you do that). Confirming your statement and thats correct.

As I said it depends on the laptop OEM. But for the XM you could clock both (still if the OEM let you do that). Confirming your statement and thats correct.

Even if the BIOS did not support it, the mobile Extreme CPUs were generally overclockable using XTU and/or ThrottleStop. In the case of Alienware laptops and the stock BIOS, you could accomplish more by using software. That much has not changed. Laptops all have skanky trash stock firmware and probably always will. But, the ideal solution for an Alienware owner was an unlocked BIOS from Brother Marco (svl7). Before @Premabegan unlocking Clevo firmware, they were truly horrible products that were severely castrated and performed quite poorly due to botched up firmware. Once they got some of that PremaMod love they immediately started destroying Alienware laptops.

Okay, I get it all now. As you know Fox, the BIOS shouldn't be too much of an issue for me, the only slight problem would be time 😉

As for everyone else, I have a fun little project coming soon that will be useful to myself and the team on the bot 🙂

I think this is where I am landing for my daily driver settings. This has proven to be stable in every scenario, including benching and a 3-hour session of Battlefield V.

This guy does some impressive fabrication work. I really like the MOAB II Elite, but the level of detail and craftsmanship on the others is pretty crazy.

I am not sure. I asked the question in the video comments on the MOAB video. I really love how that looks.

My impression is that these are unique creations he builds for chassis building competition, but some of them may have been made as a promotional thing for Gigabyte, Zotac and MSI. No details are given in the videos, so I am just guessing.

That Resident Evil typewriter is insanely gawdy looking, but the level of detail and intricate craftsmanship is amazing.

The second video above, with that Mech-looking thing with legs, is also crazy good. It looks as though it is truly aged and battle-scarred. Even the appearance of grease on the pistons of the hydraulic cylinders is amazing.

Edit: @jaybee83 I guess Zadak is a company. Never heard of them. Absurdly expensive.
