Even pcworld's editor finally can see the gamers being screwed... But they still give bad advices bro @Mr. Fox

Why is NVIDIA allowing GeForce RTX 3060/3070 Laptop GPUs to be sold as desktop mining cards?

In fact, the only purpose here is to avoid mining restrictions. And this procedure has been going for months now, without any sign of NVIDIA cracking down on it.

Nvidia is just happy they could hold up the price point well above MSRP as long they can. Miners have always been their priority. Because they know the Crypto race won't last forever as their target group... The Gamers.

A new baby has arrived... Yep, happy I didn't feed Nvidia and its partners wallets with double MSRP for Ampere cards due their nasty way to increase profits (see above)  Point of View Nvidia Geforce 580

The crocks is back bro @electrosoft 😄

The static electricity is hell on electronics, including light bulbs and LEDs. If I go to my mail lockbox after dark, sometimes I can see an arc jump 1.5 to 2.0 inches from the key to the lock. Where it can actually be funny is when I reach down to stroke the back of one of my cats in the dark and it looks like a dozen tiny bolts of lightning running through their fur as I run my hand across their back. They seem oblivious to it unless I zap their face or nose, and they definitely don't like that.

Nvidia Stock Plunges, Q2 Revenue Outlook Below Expectations

Dropping 10% after-hours, despite strong 1Q results.

Perhaps more telling, however, is the reduction in Nvidia's CMP (Cryptocurrency Mining Processor) cards' revenue, which the company introduced into the market as a way to lure cryptocurrency miners away from gaming-oriented GeForce cards.

investors must be cautious - there's no way to know exactly what percentage of Nvidia's gaming growth is still attributable to cryptocurrency mining.

As per usual, Nvidia states that it can't accurately forecast how much of its gaming GPU revenue comes from cryptomining. There you have it. Of course they won't tell the whole truth. Greed have its price.

Yup, in the AZ blast furnace. And, although I don't remember seeing Jayz video, that is correct. Simply adjusting the position of my posterior on my office chair can be enough to generate an ESD event. Or, moving from a sitting to standing position can do it, too. I often (more than once a day) sit down at one of my computers, touch the keyboard and watch the screens momentarily go black as they recover from the ESD.

I hate shoelaces. One of many reasons I bought Viking shoes with BOA closure system. Same reason I go for the Crocs. Fast and easy locking. And Ok to wear 🙂

Yep, I can have equal fun with older things. I won't pay overprices only to have the newest. I expect 4000 series will be expensive but I don't think the next gen cards will go for 2x MSRP.

Look at the beauty 🙂

I'm quite sure Nvidia know but don't dare tell the truth. The press and the shareholders shouldn't know how they run its business.

Nvidia will pay $5.5 million to settle charges that it unlawfully obscured how many of its graphics cards were sold to cryptocurrency miners. The US Securities and Exchange Commission announced the charges and a settlement with the company today.May 6, 2022

Nvidia fined $5.5 million over crypto mining GPU disclosures

Mar 17, 2020  Shareholders accusing Nvidia Corp of misleading them about the extent to which an unsustainable cryptocurrency was driving a computer chip's.

Yeah, too funny. 100% accurate, too. I often have to go to the bathroom to wet and comb my hair prior to a teleconference at work because my hair will be doing stupid stuff like his daughter's hair was doing in the video. It looks ridiculous if I do not. The climate where he lives is very similar, but it is hotter and even lower humidity here. Where I live is very similar to Death Valley, CA. It is not even summer yet, but today it is 102°F (42°C) and 10% relative humidity. Next month we will start to see our overnight lows higher than the current temperature.

Does a humidifier help? Or do you need more than one (for different rooms) due the extreme climate? You live in a dust and hot hell. I live in the oppsite climate. Loads of rain, wind, humid weather, Snow, cold (even in the summer) and the dreaded dark season that force you to eat D-vitamines, lots of fish to survive (no sun at all). And I as you. Hate it as hell.

yeah I prefer a moderate climate, it can have all 4 seasons just not extremes. The mid lats conus coast is ideal. More rainy fine with me, in the desert it's nose bleeds and allergies, living in AC for a few months a year not good imo. Rather have the pnw rains than snow. In socal it's so sunny all the time you really take it for granted and it rarely gets cleaned out by inclement weather.

Yes, it does help. Unless you have a whole house humidifier you would need a few small ones.

I dont know what desert heat feels like but i bet it feels better than what we get here on the east coast because our dew points gets into the 70s making it feels hotter than it is. 90F+ weather can feel like over 100F here and you'll sweat a lot. Gotta keep yourself hydrated through the day if you going be out in the sun and have some sunscreen as well. At night at times its worse than the day because of the high humidity and it feels like a oven, Worse if you dont have an AC. At least in the desert it feels cold at night!.

We have all 4 seasons on the east coast, Northeast to be exact. We have cold winters and hot summers, Its a good balance besides the snowstorms and severe thunderstorms at times..

Yes, humidity is something I dislike no matter what the temperature is. I am not fond of extreme heat, and prefer colder climates, but I do like the extremely dry part of living here. ESD and the wildfire risks aside, the low humidity is nice in most aspects. Humidity exaggerates everything, and makes the cold feel too cold and the heat feel miserable. I really enjoyed living in Southeastern Washington for many years because there were four seasons, but it was high mountain desert with low humidity, seldom any rain or snow. But, winters were very dry and cold. In my opinion it was the perfect climate.

haha yep exactly that! heres the vid i was referring to:

caution, overabundance of electrifying puns 😋

I love playing with static electricity. It's so much fun!

What's super fun to do during Texas winters is to sit in a chair that is conducive to building up static electricity (like plastic chairs with a metal frame), rub your back in it, and then get up to shock people.

My parents and I once had fun playing with static electricity at our nearest Nebraska Furniture Mart, and we had built up so much on the couch we were on that when the next set of people came to sit down on it, they got shocked 🤣.

Despite my love for playing with static electricity, I have never once shorted out any of my computers or parts. I'm like a human capacitor, but I make sure to constantly discharge myself in the even I'm going to touch a computer.

Funnily enough, I've never experienced a shock strong enough to actually hurt me. Shocks like what Jay showed in that video are merely tingles to me. I have much fun shocking my friends during the winter time.

Hm didn't know that about SeW thought it snowed there a bit but I was surprised about how flat/dry eastern oregon is so I guess that's just right north. Want to see it, yakima, spokane etc have to plan a trip up there. Always kind of liked Boise but only ever drove through there. PNW Coastal temps are colder and stable, same daytime as night time a lot of the year, I love that and it's so green. I don't like humidity either but at lower temps it's not as bad as high temps. One good thing about AZ/Sutah etc deserts is you're not that far from higher elevations that are much cooler for weekend trips. I still loves the ocean though.

Yakima and especially Spokane get snow every winter, and sometimes lots of it. But, Tri-Cities, Hermiston, Pendleton not much most of the time.

You can probably pick them up fairly cheap. They are too old and weak for practical gaming, but still very benchable. Paired with current CPUs and RAM it is not too difficult to steal all of the HWBOT gold from the record-holders back in the day when those GPUs were current.
