If someone has to maintain the position that it was profitable, it means that there is doubt that it was so. Which speaking from a neutral position makes sense logically, open world titles are often difficult to fill with content. They also lost a lot of the PC base when their design philosophy changed from the original to the sequels to chase the console money, then they hit financial woes. Also considering that a number of their resources were in Kyiv (Ukraine) which is currently embroiled in war. They've likely burned bridges with EA and Ubisoft already since they didnt fold under eithers portfolio, but perhaps they would be open to further partnership again. They've got an uphill battle, but its not like I want them to fail. It would need some serious Project Management and a maniacal focus, but those are things they've pulled off before!

Yeah it doesnt help that I buck when ever they attempt to make additional demands of me. They could probably replace me with ease, but they would lose that client within a few months. Lately they want me to use my phone for work purposes without compensating my phone, it feels petty but sadly its one of those give an inch take a mile scenarios. -

Yeah despite a perfect record and showing how to cut labor times by 2/3'rds I keep getting retaliation from leadership, all on pre-covid wages. As for the X3D chip it's widely known that synthetics don't improve with faster or more l3 cache. Been that way since 2015, especially cinebench. Going to have to actually play some games even then it's likely to only be tangible benefit to games like stelleris, civ, or any other extremely cpu bound titles. Heck vanilla crysis might fall in that category too. -
I would reinstall windows, I tend to do that personally anyways around every 6 months, but that's just me and my oold habits. Looks like you might have a potential solution! Best to zero it in and confirm it.

I just took a short vacation and ready to look for employment elsewhere lol. -
When you got the system did you leave the base Windows installation or have you reinstalled Windows on your own? From what I have been able to gather around it seems using applications that attempt to access or perform the same action can cause that issue. In other instances it was caused by a brand specific power plan application (i.e. Gigabyte power blah blah or Lenovo Superfan yadayada).

Could you elaborate more on what you mean by crashing? The exact behavior of the crash can often point to what may happening with your system. Welcome to the forums 🙂

True enough. When I read that review it sounds like they somehow found the one rock on this earth that didn't have a note about ddu, let alone mention if he bothered to uninstall the Nvidia drivers (unless I missed it?). If so then it's entirely a pebkac scenario, whining about a clutch without knowing what that mystical third pedal is for lol. This isn't exactly the 4870x2 days where if the game didn't see the 2 gpu's you were basically screwed. Though I do miss that era, I preferred buying an x60 and just adding another x60 later, still bothers me a bit. -

Horizon: Zero Dawn is a notoriously picky title. I gave up keeping up with updates on that title since the title required AVX2 which means I had to listen to the x58 die hards howl into the moon until they got their way. When I installed the "required" driver, I had screen flickering issues (was a hotfix driver). I just reverted back to what ever I was on with my 5700xt and played the game despite the warnings from the game that it was the wrong driver. I take product reviews about as serious as reading politics on imgur. I go to the forums for actual feedback worth considering. Now if that review had some actual troubleshooting bullets it would give it more weight. Launching 1 title and raging about AMD software to which we would assume would mean AMD Drivers because details are just details, screams to me much like a spoiled child would when not getting a free car for their 17th birthday. -

Hmm well I may grab a 1gb card just to test the waters, they are fairly cheap but that's part of the fun, bargain hunting! Mostly because I can run benchmarks remotely and dial in the overclock. The crazy fun part would be something similar to @khenglish 980 DT modification with the desktop vram. Pretty outside of the scope of my skills though. Shame I haven't seen him make it over here. -

Speaking of older cards, any real difference between the 1GB and 2GB cards on the 650Ti boost cards beyond the vram? -
I could ask my management to get contact for an inquiry tomorrow

Almost got the second machine up and running again. Bought that value option from thermalright for 37 usd. Ripped off the top fins since they aren't soldered on so it's just cosmetic. Going to install a couple more shelves so everything can be packed in. -

Yeah its a great time to kick junky sugar drinks since the environment encourages hydration. I tend to stay away from the other stuff once I am back on the water + coffee kick and just supplement with something like Electrolyte to get me through the day. Gets rid of the brain fog too, which is something I need to do anyways.

@Tenoroon I was once told that a clean desk is the sign of a sick mind. 🙂 It looks like there is a Socket G3 desktop motherboard from Asrock, not for consumer but it exists. So I will be holding onto my 4980hq chip for a while longer it seems 😄 -

I would look for the individual thread in the archive :) @Aaron44126 is hosting the archive but isnt going to be librarian for its contents. Try looking in the threads relevant to your model or the aftermarket modification sub-forum- 150 replies

nope, DP to VGA adapter, they use carts with built in batteries. Most of what they do is done via browser. No need for thunderbolt on the frontline for the franchise I supply. Lot of WYSE client 5070's out there in the wild. Even then they are debating just replacing them with laptops, problem is they already have so many built in battery carts that buying laptops would be redundant. The heaviest they go for is the 7820 desktop precision for diagnostics, if they are locally connected to a monitor then they might grab some barco GPU's and corresponding monitors.
