Everyone, its time to decide our brand!
Reciever replied to Reciever's topic in Internal Announcement Discussion
Also everyone feel free to discuss here and or via PM's etc etc Its a community decision, there is no reason to not talk about it. :) Core-PC sounded simple enough and NBCore a summarized reversal Core of NoteBook(review) -
Good Evening everyone! The time has come to decide how we want to represent ourselves. Thanks for being patient with us! :) Chris If we have a close call between 2 or more names then we will create another thread for the final contestants where arguments can be made for what you feel would be the best name for the forum. 2/23/2022 EDIT: I have changed the header on the top of the page to reflect the new name. Nothing else has changed at this time. Both Notebooktalk.net as well as EFGXT.net will continue to point here for quite some time and as mentioned by @joluke is already in service for when we make the change to the domain.

It serves a purpose, which is why its in place. I know that the basis for this forum is not exactly standard fare, but I cant account for everyone so we will have an even playing field for everyone. (or starting point)

The issue with copying the structure verbatim is we dont have nearly the same traffic quite yet, plus I have something else in mind for Reviews coming in the pipeline.
-
Thanks :) I know through time I could find every model and have them listed, however despite the healthy starting point we dont have enough traffic to justify a sub-forum for every system. Ideally we would want to be able to have those threads kept in some degree of isolation so that splitting them remains a viable task without overburdening the moderators as well as Admin's. I have a few ideas still in infancy, but I would like to hear more opinions before I take any actions. BTW @Tenoroon I will get the MXM cards out back to you on Saturday, dont think I have forgotten about you! I'll PM you with the tracking number Saturday afternoon :)

I have been looking at the Sager section a little bit and was thinking it might need some love in a similar token to how Alienware is currently formatted. Forgive me, all, I am not as familiar with all the different models of Clevo/Sager/Eurocom systems.

Avid Linux user? Honestly I think Linux may get more of a fair shake in the coming years as Steam has done a lot of work with Proton as well as the steam deck running Arch. I know it probably won't 1:1 benefit pc at large but given that a lot users aren't too keen on Win11 for either practical or moral reasons, we may benefit from your experiences 🙂 @Hiew Is also an avid Linux user who has gone back to Linux full time. I hope to see more conversations on the topic around here to be perfectly honest.

I know where I can get the template, will be making an inquiry soon. Might have it up by this evening or at worst around the time I open the poll tomorrow evening.

Good Evening everyone! I have been paying attention to a number of requests or oddities that appear, that need a resolution along with what current areas of the forum have interest enough to carry themselves or ones that need to be consolidated. This is by no means a permanent solution and over time we may gain more traffic in these consolidated spaces may grow to have dedicated locations once more. I know it may appear as though not much is going on the surface, however we are very much making progress in certain important bends that over time you all may come to recognize in the coming days. I am also getting feedback from various sources and trying to make the best path forward for the forum, and you all, the community are also a part of this process. We are going to be reviving the currently missing WLSIB template, as that had always been a mainstay and allows for uninformed to pick the brains of the community. Some of the forums will be rearranged and/or consolidated. The content will be retained. A number of idea's are currently in infancy, and I look forward to getting the feedback from you all as we determine its viability This Friday I will be opening a poll for what we will name the forum, I think it would be fair to leave it open for one week, unless there are zero votes for 48 hours. I have to balance the community with attempting to establish the name of the forum. With that in mind please bear in the mind the following: Anyone that has a suggestion must get it to me by Friday @ 10PM CST. Please PM me with the suggestions and we will attempt to grab the names if they pass internal scrutiny. Anyone that knows members that are here and registered, but dont surf everyday to ping them so they can make sure they get in their vote. There are many irons in the fire, and I cant wait to share them with you all! However just like how we didnt open the flood gates as soon as this forum was technically up, we will make sure it can work well here. Thats all I have for the moment, and I look forward to continued dialogue with everyone! Chris

Yep! This has been added to the list! One thing we have had to step away from is making changes on the fly as it tends to not lend itself to documentation that we made the actual change and doubling our work. I have been creating a list of all the requests that have been made over various threads into one location. This along with temporarily increasing the limit on emoji (which is basically being substituted for likes from nbr) are the top of the list.
-
That is likely to be what happens unless we determine some of other odd use case worth pursuing 🙂

I thought that might be the case initially, as he still has his original role to fulfill. Spartan deserves better, if you are in contact with him please let him know that he is always welcome here. If it was purchased with HID funding it would likely be difficult long term. HID generally does well for us but a company is a profit seeking venture at the end of the day.

We have acquired some domains to be put up for a vote soon :) Still adding some to the list but I believe we will have a public vote for it relatively soon.

No its an issue on default theme the emoji's selection icon has the same color as the background. I have added it to the list of things we are working on but for reference please see here.
-
Its all good :) I appreciate you giving this platform a chance.
-
Is that what really happened? I had a sneaking suspicion there could be some agitation if the name is the same. Are you on the default theme?
-
I plan to do exactly that, we just need to decouple Likes/Emoji's from the REP system (which is why the limitation is in place by default) Let me touch base with @Hiewand make sure we are on the same page first.
-
Some of the oddities seen are just default functions I believe, yet to be stripped out. We will be working on some of these things relatively soon. 🙂

I see, tight fit! Sorry if I came off direct, I take a large dose of sleep aids and it becomes difficult to articulate. Should be able to go with 4 pipes then. It's been done on the ranger but it's worth noting that you will need to shave off some of the tensioner. The amount on the ranger was iirc a about a millimeter off each side. Not saying it's verbatim the same, I very much doubt it would be but it could be an avenue to look at critically to see if it could work here.

What phone are you daily driving currently?

Using a v20 still, probably going to look into replacing it soon as it's long out of cycle for security updates. Custom Roms are available but the process is convoluted or requires resources that are tied to broken links. -
You stack the heatpipes.
