I have changed the header on the top of the page to reflect the new name. Nothing else has changed at this time. Both Notebooktalk.net as well as EFGXT.net will continue to point here for quite some time and as mentioned by @joluke is already in service for when we make the change to the domain. -
It appeared to be a one man operation, even on this platform the amount of work/decisions to be made was a bit daunting and we still have much to do. One man operation on open source vanilla forum? I dont think it would have served the community well with the time restriction of 10 days.

Gaming support has improved massively since Steam has been putting time in it, but yeah otherwise completely cogent points. I like Pop_OS and have been dabbling with Manjaro XFCE for my thin clients so far its been pretty pleasant. These days I feel like I am fighting WIndows, where as with Linux I know I am just woefully ignorant.
-
I think Linux may have some real potential drive coming up. Same scale as Windows? Im not that hopeful but at least for most gaming it might get more exposure than it otherwise would.

It holds more merit to have an AM5 socket machine, especially if you dont have to constantly redesign the board for a minor update.

I do not have pleasant things to say regarding that forum, so I try to say nothing at all (and sometimes failing to do so). Thats the issue with open standards, they can be quite great especially in principle but we didnt have the time to facilitate that type of endeavor. That all being said we still have much to do here, TapaTalk/REP being the low hanging fruit. Amongst other things that I want to pursue but havent had a good time to engage in it. With Texas freezing over again here soon I may have some time to spend towards that -
This is the first of anything 2022 that I had seen.

If the system is needed in the mean time I would locate the PWM wire and cut it so that the fan just goes max speed and later modding a physical switch in later for EC control My experiences are primarily with the Ranger, I wouldnt be confident in giving further advice :(

The question is malformed, but its quite commonly worded that way. We do not see in FPS/Hz although it can be measured to some degree in that manner. We perceive motion so when you have a screen that grants greater degree of fluid motion, it can be appreciated. -

Even just going up to 75hz is much better than 60hz. Especially if you are looking over wide landscapes and such. 120/144 does well, not sure if I can appreciate 240/360, never seen one yet. -
Nah its not a win / lose thing, just everyone has there own preferences :) The ending made little to no sense, but I generally shy away from a games ending mostly because I enjoy the journey quite a bit more than the conclusion. I am also the type to play FF7 all the way up to Sephiroth just to put the controller down and never play the game again because it was more entertaining to see everyone who forced me to play start foaming at the mouth than actually finish that game.
-
There is a reason you didnt play Andromeda over the rest of Mass Effect. Andromeda is just a rehash of the original ME Trilogy on a newer engine with no notable characters.
-
I didnt say it was not a metric at all, I said its not the defacto metric for why I engage.
-
Graphics is not the defacto metric for why I bother with a game. Probably why I can play mass effect a dozen times and can't be bothered down download crysis.

Meant to get back to this earlier, we have a ticket out with Invision for this issue now. I dont know how much we can expect as this is a first for us, but it will serve as granting us with some reference for Invision as well as hopefully a solution for this minor but admittedly annoying issue.

When you get some downtime be sure to add Punisher (Netflix) to that list. First episode is a bit of a slow burner, but I enjoyed the 2 seasons multiple times now.

Car analogies never work well. For instance name one car that is lighter and faster year over year from inception. This is not the point, the point is I will have 5+ years with that machine in service, while you may have been on your third replacement like Linus and his Razer laptops. You couldnt justify the 6990m therefore all of it was bad is really short sighted as well, king of the hill is where the money is at, always been that way. Not every generation is the same. The thing you omit here is that we had a 980m converted to 980 DT and it worked just fine. The future may be streaming for some and it may work well for them, but a high power GPU is still running it.
