looks quite impressive! ashamed to say ive never played that game, but heard tons of good stuff 🙂 funny to see that theyre implementing stuff inspired by the tv show, which in turn was inspired by the game series 😄 coming full circle haha -

u kidding?! how am i gonna survive on this low-end hardware im currently sporting? 😂 dude, seriously....who TF is buying those 4080s?!?!?! WHO? someone who can spend 1200+ on a GPU but aint willing to spend a bit more for a 4090? WHO DOES THAT?!?!?! please, anyone, enlighten me... or, alternatively, wait a bit and go for a 7900XTX....seriously! would be such a sick joke if all Ngreedia did was rebadge the fake 4080 and keep their crazy pricing. i see what u did there Mr. Musk 😄 yeah the thing with those Atom cores... looking at silicon area, one cluster of four takes up as much space as a single P core. with E cores at roughly 65%+ performance of P cores, each P core u substitue for one E core cluster would result in 4*65% = 260% vs. 100% multi core performance, so basically ure losing almost two thirds! with the 13900K at 8P and 16E this would result in a CPU with 12P Cores at roughly 65% of total multi core performance. that would only be on par with a 12900K or less, meaning they would lose baaaaad against AMD. best thing for us to happen would be Nvidia and AMD being on par and going at each other's throats just like Intel and AMD are currently doing in CPU space! get the 7950X and listen to a totally unbiased 7950X owner 😉 platform longevity. also, value proposition depends on how high the stack ure looking. at the very top, barely any difference. if u go midtier i.e. 13600K or 7600X/7700X then RPL does have a better value. but all that has changed now with the adjusted holiday pricing. lets see if AMD keeps those prices around, id wager they wouldnt pull back anytime soon 🙂 funny to see ready-made options for such displays! and for so cheap! i wonder what the quality will be like...im still planning to do a custom one with a 10 inch display, should be fun! -

haha ok, good to know 😄 ive found overclock.net a good place to just read up on new hardware and how it behaves / tuning basics like which voltages do what, which bios versions are available, what others get from the same hardware, etc. for me personally a good starting point to know how to tackle my new machine haha. but this is likely different from your perspective, having been back to desktop way longer than i have! -
is the 990 pro out yet anywhere? last ive seen was like a january release (planned).

lol that Linus reaction will always be legendary and priceless 😄 but yeah, just switch off and run along, no biggie 🙂 hahaha i knooooow ive seen so many butthurt users on overclock.net, basically every port royal score above 29k is called into question. but its kinda true, variance seems to be unusually high lately with similar clocks, that should not be the case with a proper benchmark worth its designation as such! issue in the end is that users that do their due diligence in bios finetuning, OS decrapping and pulling all tricks in the book get crapped on by n00bs who just got lucky with a wonky run and bam u get big discussions. -
may i ask, why would they refuse to register here? in the beginning right after NBR closure its understandable since a proper successor was still to be determined. but now its pretty safe to say that NBT is the true mental successor to NBR, albeit still in the growth phase 🙂 but good things take time, as we all know! and it definitely has the right spirit to take over from NBR if u ask me.

yeah sure, now that theyve realized theyve fired too many 😂 higher turnover than Amazon?! how is that even possible, lol. amazon is already having troubles finding new ppl because theyve USED UP THE WHOLE ELIGIBLE US POPULATION!!! how much worse than that can u actually get? omg 😂 phew, such frequent "updates" are a tight rope balancing act... ive gotten used to implement this for myseff, i.e. make short n quick notes on what ive done on a work day to keep track of my accomplishments - comes in handy at the midyear and end of year reviews as well as salary or promotion related negotiations - and, most importantly, it helps me keep a healthy work life balance and not lose sight of any potential OT. however, if such things become requirements it gets annoying and overbearing VERY easily and just causes unnecessary extra work. having regular (like weekly) update meetings to be on the same page is different, because that is not in the context of "justifying" one's existence at the workplace but rather just alignment of the team and clarification / tackling of unknowns and issues.

this is only an issue if ure worried about official warranty. if u just go by actual reliability, rest assured ur samsung ssd will have closer to like an order of magnitude higher TBW before it gives out on you

damn, desktop core on mxm as an actual product and not just a DIY project, thats awesome! 🙂 but yeah can already see they had to go with a wonky package orientation just to make it fit on a standard mxm card 😅

thx for posting guys! for the record, im baffled at the sometimes weird reporting on intel raptor lake vs. zen 4 specs, value and performance. unfortunately, it seems that for both camps there are still fanatics around that twist any and all small / irrational advantages towards their side. prime example for Intel fanboys: testing the 13900k with ddr5-6800 at the edge of stability (not all cpus can just do 7000+ out of the box, esp with a quick n dirty setting) but comparing it to mainstream ddr5-6000 on zen4. 6000 might be "sweet spot" in terms of value but if u go bleeding edge u can also push to 6600 on zen4. and then at the same time arguing that raptor lake is the "value" option because it offers ddr4 😂 so which is it, Intel fanboy?!?! prime example for AMD fanboys: zen4 is super efficient and lower power than raptor lake, even though were talking 250+ watts at stock! does that really matter vs. 275 watts?! plus, u can always tune the voltages a bit (on both sides!) and gain way more efficiency. and sure, platform longevity is a big factor here but there are lots of Alder Lake users out there who just want to upgrade their cpu, not their whole platform! get over yourself, AMD fanboy! my point being: we are at a point where both platforms are SO good that in the end its down to personal preference. but u cant go wrong either way: sorry for the rant guys, just had to get this out there 😋

ummm....i wouldnt personally trust everyday stability of a production system on smth like geekbench 😅 best to do both load and longterm idle tests, including loads that u personally actually use on that system. aside from that also include worst case stuff like p95 with/without avx, blender, CB23 etc. the more various tests, the better to ensure overall stability. soooo, from an actual 4090 owner perspective: yes ECC can easily be enabled / disabled in NCP, simple checkbox. also judging from other 4090 owners enabling ECC is bad for benching since it tops out earlier than without ECC. i personally leave it disabled and finetune going by visual inspection (artifacts) and actual performance gains (as long as it goes up with higher clocks its fine). in the end, i always prefer to have MORE manual options and control than less. remember guys, its not always JUST about heavy benching and collecting points on the bot 😋 different ppl use the same hardware for different purposes. -
might be worth it to check with the rainbow master on this?

ahno, they dont have remasters, at least not yet. theyve just been updates a bunch of times since original launch 🙂 yeah surprising to see how much power the Arctic fans have at such relatively low rpm and noise levels. im gonna deck out my casse with P12 and P14 fans! good to see i wouldve instinctively gone with the correct orientation 😎 -
agreed, this kind of stuff should be made acceptable or deemed as a role model. otherwise, no one as an employee could feel safe anymore or plan ahead for their own future. and sure, accidental dismissal, who hasnt experience that before....? 😄 true, its baffling how many people seem to be using LI more and more to promote their own personal agendas, totally weird and out of place. but still, really helps to stay in touch with prof. network and has helped me in the past get into positions 🙂 i guess theres always pros and cons with such things. oh shocked, totally unexpected... 😛 😄
