  1. I would hope it could be possible to get 5.2ghz with 1-2 cores active. Obviously all cores is not possible with the current heatsink design.
  2. I have heard that the models with i9 this year have a phase-change liquid metal pad. A vapor chamber would be nice but even an extra heatpipe on the CPU side would have helped. I also read that some others have installed Honeywell PTM7950 to good effect. If I had to guess, a good self-install might still do better than a factory paste job in some cases. Another user who got a GE76 with 12700H was saying that changing the turbo multiplier in the advanced bios were not sticking, which is sad if true as it would be nice to take it to 5ghz on light to mid usage so it can match the 12900H/HK in those scenarios. I do believe undervolting should be possible on the 12700H despite some other users claims.
  3. If you find the stock heatsink is still thermal throttling it is possible to use a 2mm height aftermarket heatsink. It is even a better situation now that you do not have to worry about depressing that drive slot power switch. I also tried 4mm which definitely was too thick with the bottom cover in place.
  4. How do you like the 16 inch 1920x1200 165hz panel on the M16? Any issues with fan whistle like some of the Legion's had? By chance do you know if the HDMI/USB-C/TB4 connect to the Nvidia GPU or Intel GPU, with the MUX set to hybrid mode? Either way sounds like a good deal and should compliment your desktop well.
  5. I am using 32GB (2x16GB) of the older branded HyperX at 3200mhz CL20 dual rank without issue. The kit has Micron IC's.
  6. I had the same issue with my Logitech MX Anywhere 3 mouse. The issue was fixed by making a registry change as described here: https://www.dell.com/community/XPS/XPS-9310-Bluetooth-lag-with-Logitech-MX-Keys-MX-Master-3/m-p/7795277#M77883 Note that it may have to be reapplied multiple times (bluetooth driver update, or windows simply deciding to override the configuration). Also note that the VID/PID may be different depending on what version of wifi card you have. I had the AX210 non-CNVI card and it was 8087/0032 for me. Also one of the bios updates supposedly "addressed" this overly agressive selective suspend, but I found it to not make a difference. It is a shame, because the registry modification does increase battery drain from the bluetooth chip.
