  1. awesome dude! nice to see a fellow quester ðŸĪ  yeah im also playing completionist style but also doing lots of farming (and yes i agree, can be tedious at times). on epic it sometimes gets a bit too easy but later on in legendary ive seen numerous reports that it gets HARD quite fast again. btw i can highly recommend TQVault and TQ Collector to keep track of all your gear and be able to switch around stuff between your characters.
  2. geez....seriously ðŸĪŠ this is the kind of thing that makes delayed (or better yet, manual only) updates absolutely mandatory
  3. aaaah....dark mode is the best, on all OSes and all device classes. helps protect my eyes that are accustomed to the dark after countless nights spent tuning hardware and software 😄
  4. welcome back! let's get this show back on the road 😁ðŸĪ
  5. yep this article came right to mind when reading your post: https://www.pcgamer.com/students-dont-know-what-files-and-folders-are-professors-say/ like....seriously? they dont know what files and folders are?!?!?! 🙄ðŸĪŠðŸ˜ĩ we are doomed!
  6. kool, looking forward to your reports once it arrives! 🙂
  7. i had to laugh at around 00:50 to 1:00 because thats exactly how i imagine our resident Yeti @papusan and his setup in front of his Igloo 😁😂
  8. thats ok, 1.35V is plenty, especially in a laptop with barely any airflow going over the RAM modules. usually your main problem will be the motherboard traces giving out on you. in my case i maxxed out at 3466 Mhz with my 3800 modules while still being at 1.20V for the VDimm. adding more voltage didnt help at all haha. The gear mode basically sets the RAM clocks in conjunction to the IMC clock so that they are synchronized 1:1. Gear 1 is for synchronized clocks, whereas Gear 2 allows for a 2:1 ratio so as to give the RAM a bit more headroom to stretch its legs, albeit at a performance penalty due to non-synchronous ratio. in any case! first steps: set XMP profile and reboot, switch to custom profile, leave all timings as they are and bump the speed up a bit. properly stress test via testmem5 / ram test of your choise and repeat. once you hit a wall in terms of speed, up the voltage and try again. if that also doesnt pan out, try lowering the primary, secondary, and tertiary timings one by one, followed by testing. i.e.: set TCl from 16 to 15, reboot, stress test. if successful, set from 15 to 14 and test again. if not successful, set back to 16, and continue with the next timing (in this case tRCD). as mentioned before, for all timings the rule of thumb is the lower the faster, except for tREFI where higher numbers are better. remember: RAM OC takes a looooot of time and proper stress testing is super important! since errors in RAM can cause all kinds of weird behaviour like BSODs, sudden shutoffs, system freezing, data loss/corruption, etc.
  9. Go ahead and try these steps here with regards to intelppm.sys: https://thegeekpage.com/fix-blue-screen-error-intelppm-sys-in-windows-10/ Sounds to me like some files might have been corrupted. Either that or its some kind of hardware failure causing the respective drivers to hiccup and timeout.
  10. this is one of the last holdouts of a dying breed my friend...believers of high-performance, upgradeable, tunable, fixable laptop monsters...☠ïļ
  11. yeah thats the tricky part with the binning though: you can bin for different things. all the silicon going towards the 12900KS is only the best at reaching high clocks stable without blowing up. doesnt mean that its also frugal at lower clocks and voltages in terms of wattage. so i wouldnt be too sad about "good silicon" for our specific laptop purposes are all heading towards the KS sku 🙂
  12. sure, go ahead and lets see if we can get a bit more info 🙂
  13. thats one advantage of the 12600 since its missing the e cores, so UV should be straightforward. unless of course it is blocked just like with the 12900 (ugh) thats not good news with the sound driver being w11 exclusive... but clevo has always been a bit finicky when it comes to sound enhancement package installs.... fans seem to be great tho 🙂 cant wait! @electrosoft this was the cherrypicked 12900k right? so now we have an "ideal reference" to orientate ourselves toward. roughly 90% of ideal stock on a desktop sounds pretty sweet to me 😁
  14. i laughed at this 😁 definitely well deserved!
  15. ok, so far so good. this seems to be driver related, possibly a faulty driver or component hanging up the system. did you recently install any new components or drivers? when did this start happening? ideally we could fix this by returning your system to an earlier state via system restore.
  16. LOL, u MIGHT think this was done on purpose / planned somehow ðŸĪ
  17. duuude i totally missed that! aw crap... https://www.forbes.com/sites/antonyleather/2022/05/07/nvidia-lhr-lock-officially-cracked-bringing-full-crypto-mining-speeds/
  18. hey guys, so seems like i was able to lure in the big wiz to crack his magic knuckles and get to work on the NH55 😁 plan is to start working together on it once my gf's system arrives sometime this week and we've assembled all the parts (including some pimping of the cooling system). let's see what we can coax out of this nice little machine! only thing to consider here is that im not sure how "openly available" this will be to other users, but still, it'll be a nice showing of what the system in general could be capable of 🙂 will keep you guys updated!
  19. as usual, EU has to come in and force-feed big tech some common sense. you're welcome, world 😛
  20. yeah i have seriously been wondering if this phase right now until right before 40 series launches might actually be THE best time to get a new GPU in years. once new gen is announced, a lot of people will then sell off their current gpus to get ready for the new gen. once new gen is out, prices will skyrocket due to scalpers and basically zero availability, so that the current gen and used market will also climb again price-wise. sooo....now or never? i sure hope not... tired of those games to be honest. thats why i was SO HAPPY when i read the news today of the crypto market crashing HARD 😛 https://www.independent.co.uk/tech/bitcoin-price-crash-2022-latest-crypto-b2074581.html
  21. when it shuts down, what is the behaviour like? is it an instant shut off? or does windows suddenly decide to initiate the shutdown procedure? have u checked component temperatures (i.e. via HWInfo) when shutdowns happen? when was the last time u serviced your laptop (cleaning out dust, repaste, etc.)? do the shutdowns only happen on battery or on AC power? or both? all this will help us dial down the range of potential culprits.
  22. it's "funny and interesting" that modded / debloated windows installs have become more and more obligatory with each new version of windows we get... i wonder if this might not be a new line of revenue for microsoft to come up, pay good money for a naked/debloated version of windows 😋
  23. maybe u can imbue a mod with the option to adjust tags. also, how about a dropdown list of already utilized tags to ensure a universal formatting standard of future tags? that way ull also save cleanup time.
  24. amazing job so far, i like the general direction NBT is headed for, especially since I get the feeling that the overall atmosphere is really beginning to remind me of NBR (which is a good thing!). keep it up boys 😁
