    for RAM speeds, id check if the machine supports XMP profiles. if that is not the case, then go the safe route and choose ram sticks that run at 2133 mhz with their stock SPD / JEDEC profiles (thus no manual activation needed via intel xtu). that way only ur cpu imc and the motherboard traces habe to play along, but that should be fine. if xmp / ram oc is supported u might massage even more speed out of it! on my previous clevo p150HM with sandy bridge platform i was able to push up to 2200 Mhz and i even saw other doing up to 2400 Mhz! back to the 2133 mhz SPD sticks: Kingston HyperX 2133 mhz were SPD sticks that do not require XMP: http://geizhals.at/1186628 funny coincidence: if youre interested, i might soon be selling 2x8GB of those 2133 mhz sticks, since ill be parting out my gf's old machine 😄 also have a mpcie to m.2 adapter with an Intel AX200 wifi adapter available. lemme know 😊

    duuude that is is indeed highly interesting! i just recently read the news about raptor lake leaked info of the flagship sporting 8P + 16E cores, so that bios option would make total sense in that context. tbh, thats what i was counting on / hoping for when selecting this laptop, having another shot at a nextgen cpu upgrade to push its achieveable lifetime to the max 🙂 thx for pointing out the previous post again, that was a d'oh from my side 😇😋

    very cool stuff, ill be sure to have a looksie 🙂 i have actually watched 2-3 clips of him before and stumbled upon his leaks / theories / extrapolations, seems like he keeps popping up here and there, which is a good sign for his compentencies 🤠

    i second @electrosoft's words, big thanks to all the groundwork youre doing! if you dont mind you could point us to the tools ure using to unlock hidden bios functions and implement stuff like UV so we can all get a crack at this from different angles 🙂 have u checked with Eurocom if there are any Bios / EC updates available yet?

    agreed, problem being that Intel is leaving less and less OC headroom on the table when releasing their products. then again, thats a good sign of AMD pushing / threatening them to do better!

    nice find with the UV sticking after reboot! so what were your latest settings with UV and at what clocks / power usage of the cpu? 23k on CB23 sounds awesome!

    good luck with that. just to clarify: the fans are not spinning but LEDs are lighting up? or is the machine completely unresponsive / dead when pressing the power button?

    weeeell....its not really a "discovery" per se. this yt vid here only mentions a paper that theorizes a gamma ray burst back in 2006 "might" have been a white hole, but that's about it... aside from that, actually havent found any other reference to this.

    might be a silly question: did you repaste or still using the same thermal paste on GPU and CPU? did you take out the cpu after removing the cooler? just checking if the cpu got unseated or thermal paste blocking some contacts. also check if you accidentally unplugged any of the fan or other cable connectos on the motherboard.

    ordered a new laptop for my gf yesterday, it will be her first Clevo and the first system she will assemble and install herself (with my guidance, of course 😃). its a brand new model, just came out in April, specs are the following: i5-12600 desktop cpu 3070 Ti (was surprised to see how much faster it is vs. 3070) 2x8 GB DDR4-3800 (self-upgrade) 1 TB 850 Pro (from previous machine) FHD 240Hz screen AX201 Wifi the key for her is longevity, shes been using her current laptop for 11 years now, so i needed smth that would last her at least 10 years. thats why i wanted to have max flexibility in terms of upgrading parts, hence no way around desktop cpu machine. i think in about 3-5 years well do a major upgrade for cpu (12900k or raptor lake), ram (32 or 64 gigs), ssd (throw in a pcie 4 drive), wifi (whatever is new at that time) and screen (upgrade to QHD 165 Hz or better). thatll then bring her over the 10 year finish line easily i think 😁 i for one am of course profiting from getting to play around with new hardware @setup and tuning mwahaha 😁

    thx for the info! good thing is we now have the part number of the QHD screen, so upgrading down the line is always possible 😉

    omg YES! ive been advocating for a cpu focused DTR like this for ages! remove dgpu and 2.5 inch bays, stick to 2xm.2 and 2xram slots and use the whole remaining space to maximize battery capacity and cooling. add to that proper TB support for egpu and u got urself a winner! id buy that in a heartbeat... btw seems like the bios/ec has a problem issuing the vcore change to the e cores. would suck if the only way to uv would be to disable e cores, defeats the whole purpose of having max multi core perf at hand and still be able to maximize battery life... btw @electrosoftgood job on pimping up the OP, now we got ourselves a proper lounge here 😁

    removing the cmos caused the bios to reset, so next boot could take a while. let it sit for a while (2-3 min at least) to make sure it actually doesnt boot up.

    the specific model were talking about is the clevo NH55JNNQ with the 3070 Ti. i think in general the series would be NH5xJNxx for the various submodels that i saw on the clevo website. ure right lol, this already is the lounge, just need to pimp it up a bit 😋😁 and u and me both super glad we still have desktop cpu models with max flexibility to play around with! 🤠

    lol that rumored 900W 4090 Ti type card is smth for @Mr. Fox for suure! 900W at stock means like 2000W unlocked and heavily oced. ready to go dual psu like on the p870? 😁

    good decision, that wouldve been a total downgrade! from fully configurable to completely soldered and locked down!
