  1. lol not many times someone says hes sticking to laptops otherwise hed go overboard with a system 😄 hilarious considering the price/perf ratios between laptop and desktop hahaha
  2. haha im aware of that. but saw lots of users on overclock.net reporting worse OC headroom once they lowered their vRAM temps after waterblocking their cards. seems to be a trend. edit: aw, bro @Talon beat me to the punch 😛
  3. always crazy to see how fast such hardware flies off the "virtual shelves" 😄
  4. big double thumbs up, for coming back to the NBR turned NBT fold and going from one awesome Clevo machine to another 😉
  5. difficult to judge if that is a lot of not 😄 comparing to 125k+ sold 4090s, might just baaaarely be enough?
  6. well ill be damned, would you look at that! 🙂 good for him! and makes the ol' NBR crew proud
  7. its nice that they do it for a good cause though: "100% of proceeds benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital" damn u guys, +1900 - 2200 is insane 😄 i can only push mine up to 1700 when it starts crashing. for 24/7 ultra stable with zero artifacting i have to dial it down to +1525, but not yet done testing though. the issue with the liquid X might be temps, i.e. its cooling the vRAM "too efficiently" so it loses OC headroom. the vRAM on the 4090 does really like to stay warm for high clocks!
  8. loving this, perfect example of what makes upgradeable laptops so awesome to work / play with! good job on the upgrades bud! 🙂 enjoy ur newly upgraded beast!
  9. would u really be tempted in getting an 18 incher with full BGA? genuinely curious, not hating this time 😄
  10. nothing new to report yet. current status is full cpu and ram tuning-ability, especially on the RAM side thats a big deal, otherwise ure stuck on SPD speeds and timings! next step im hoping for is to make the NH55 compatible with Raptor-Lake 🙂 should also help in pushing RAM speeds further!
  11. ha, i guess it always depends what ure comparing against. completely decked out and tuned Clevo DTR by @Mr. Fox or @Papusan vs. your run-of-the-mill "gamer desktop" full stock? no chance for the desktop 😄 but of course, if you compare those two's own machines laptop vs. desktop then the former doesnt stand a chance 😛
  12. oh FFS guys... only hope left now is that AMD's partner cards can pull off waaaay more performance increase than Nvidia's. so that they can at least reliably and repeatedly beat the 4080 and slot in behind the 4090. but like this...its a disaster! 😞 lol yeah that sounds about right for the green goblin...
  13. lol, and THATS how fast ure sucked back into it hahaha
  14. kinda sexy those cards....now lets see dat performance!
  15. ha ive heard about this automatic system sensing stuff, adjusting pricing on the type of access / system base its detecting. same goes for location, browser type, time of day, etc...madness
  16. are u on the same Bios and EC as that user who managed to get it working on the P150HM? great machine btw, used to rock it up until 2015 🙂
  17. if the cpu itself doesnt thermal throttle, u might wanna check padding and contact on your VRMs, they might also be throttling. dude, what a wife! thats so precious! makes that 4090 all the more golden man, enjoy! and yes indeed, there ARE liquid X models out there with a 600W stock vbios! not just cross-flashed. see if u might have gotten ahold one of those stock unicorns haha. now, WHOever might profit from such a constellation, eh? 😉 golden times for PC freaks! 😄
  18. proudly going down with the sinking ship
  19. also a sign it might be popular as a game in general, as well hahaha niiiiiice. now i want it! 😛
  20. maaaan i really gotta get my BUTT going with selling all my crap. SO much to get rid of! just cant find the time ugh!
  21. so hard to excited about an all BGA machine, no matter the specs...all seems to temporary and final at the same time 😅
  22. damn what an odyssey...quoting this one but have been following the rest, as well. i really didnt expect anything like this from the "legendary" AX1600i tbh. until the TX-1600 was only recently released, i actually had the 1600i in my wishlist quite firmly... LOL i sure hope everyone got the tongue in cheek in this convo 😛 😄 we would all be out of a "forum job" if we all only followed the sensible value route regarding hardware 😂 and we cant do that to poor bro @Reciever DUDE! no way, u made the jump and got a 4090! 😮 u planning on keeping the stock AiO? pls update us on what the vBios limits are, apparently there are two Liquid X versions out there, one with 530W and the other with 600W limit. in any case, crazy prices back and forth, ull enjoy that beast of a card nonetheless. i know i am 😎
