  1. go to search, then switch to members and do a blank sesrch, itll then show a list of all registered members including total count. also nice: u can sort by post count or reputation in this list!
  2. sweet, always good to see a blackscreen event turning out well 🙂
  3. ure right in this regard, the only reason why nvidia still keeps supporting standard mxm design cards for quadro type gpus (most recent example is the A4500 based on ampere) is their contractual requirement by existing military, industrial, medical and scientific systems that still use these kinds of cards. lucky for us this also gives us a way forward, albeit ultra expensive one @3500 USD for a single A4500 😅
  4. its almost like the cooling targets of CPU and GPU were swapped between prototype and mass production... also look at the screw mounts, funny how initially the CPU side was tripod BS with GPU four point, whereas the final version is exactly the opposite...
  5. no worries on that front, looks like NBT is growing slow n steady to become a nice successor to NBR 😁 keep up the amazing work!
  6. you will discover there are a loooot of ex NBR users running around here just like you bud. welcome to NBT 🙂
  7. ohno its not lack of knowledge its different levels for expectations: "upgradeable" for them means ure allowed to swap one ram stick and one ssd 😂
  8. yep i feel ya man, after the reset it basically takes forever until display shows an output, really takes patience. im glad everything worked smoothly!
  9. i dont get it....wtf is a "preview update patch" 🙄 just fix whats actually broken!
  10. its kind of a mixed bag. in theory u can install ec and bios completely independently from each other, but there is always a chance that new ec / old bios or old ec / new bios arent compatible with one another.
  11. sure, you can always try 🙂 the statement before is just a best practice kinda thing, its not mandatory. this could maybe help: https://www.nbrchive.net/xfa/sager-and-clevo.1017/Bios Update P775TM1-G Mifcom/
  12. yep i agree on that part, the cpu heatsink couldve definitely used another heatpipe or two *sigh* but tbh im just glad we were still able to get a current LGA system into my ladys's hands for future-proofing and easier servicing (even though the GPU is BGA and yes it makes my heart bleed)
  13. in general its best to flash everything in one, because there might be some incompatibilities between older / newer versions of EC/EC2/Bios.
  14. et voila: https://notebooktalk.net/topic/104-notebook-review-forum-archive-–-nbrchive/
  15. in general, dsanke bios has made a good impression in the community, u can check the NBR archive for the respective Dsanke threads for more info. just make sure u have the correct bios for ur machine. the blind flash is tricky, as its name implies 😄 u basically keep Fn+B pressed, then press power button and only let it go after "a while". it helps to use a usb stick with an inbuilt LED, so that u at least know when it starts to be accessed. without that, ull just have to make a "best guess", i.e. let it sit for like 20-30 minutes to make 100% sure the flash went through. then shut down the machine (unless it does so by itself), power it on again and hope for the best! for the inbuilt recovery to work your bios image has to have a specific format and file naming though, its different for every clevo machine....
  16. i do, but not taking responsibility since i dont own your machine 😄 Fn+D is like a cmos reset, but that wont help if you brick your pc due to a bad / incompatible bios flash... however, there is an inbuilt bios recovery that can be activated via FN+B, but in that case ud have to do a blind flash on a black screen.
  17. bios update for sure. might also require a pin mod, but that depends on your chipset: https://community.hwbot.org/topic/175489-asrock-z170-mocf-lives-on-coffee-lake-mods/page/19/
  18. for the gpu u can try an .inf mod, manually adding your hardware ID to the driver files so that it recognizes it properly and installs: https://notebooktalk.net/topic/249-nvidia-driver-inf-modding/#comment-7630
  19. yeah the issue here is that NBC is just running everything full stock and hitting it with prime95 😛 this is nothing new, every clevo needs some massaging before it can stretch its legs 😄 issue here being that the control center limits the max wattage depending on the profile and heatwise the stock setup aint perfect. the system can definitely let the cpu pull 140W from what weve seen so far, currently trying to tune the heat 🙂
  20. you and me both! 😄 foh sho! 🤠 hey man, thats likely due to their balanced settings in the control center, we found that different profiles set different wattage limits. weve seen peak at 140W with long term 90W but theres still some heat-related tuning to be had here, give us some more time 🙂 edit: ok they did actually set it to performance it seems, but there are still fairly aggresive temp and wattage limits set at stock that can be alleviated via throttlestop!
