mindblowing indeed....like the fact the FIRST exoplanet they focus on with JWST is a jupiter like hot beast with a superfast 3-day orbital period around its host star and guess what? they found friggin water, like....wth 😄 https://www.nasa.gov/image-feature/goddard/2022/nasa-s-webb-reveals-steamy-atmosphere-of-distant-planet-in-detail
  2. 145 😛 issue being the sustained loads, not the max though. the delid, liquid metal and copper IHS combo provided thermal headroom for another +340 Mhz, im hoping i can get another 100-150 Mhz with the TG contact frame. should be here by the end of this week. after that, im hoping for undervolting capabilities with Prema's help. were currently waiting for some software bugfixes before we can proceed....
  3. people who like to "gamble"? 😄
  4. thats a tough one since the market for it is so super small.... i looked around ebay and it seems like M18X mobos (irrespective of their R generation due to small sample size) go for about 300 to 600€ with an average of 430€. complete machines average roughly 780€ ranging 600 to 1100€. so with that in mind id say 300 - 450€ does make sense. but again, very limited sample size! so just a rough guesstimate from my side 🙂
  5. LOL thats a hell of a backstory on why u love your alienware, glad ure still with us man! soooooo....what happened with the nurse? 😁
  6. first thing that came to mind was RAM. try and dial the sticks down to SPD, tune in your CPU, then take the RAM back up step by step.
  7. haha sorry mate, good luck hunting down a 980M 🙂
  8. oh yes indeed 😄 i visually checked the dimensions on the NH55 ILM, the contact frame "should" fit nicely in there without getting in the way of any SMDs. the height shouldnt be an issue, since the IHS is the highest point and thus the contact to the IHS. im currently cleaning up the stock IHS, still had the black silicone glue and the sTIM at the center. especially the latter is a biatch to clean up, but the Rockit Cool kit also helps in this regard 🤠
  9. you got it bud, happy to help. keep us in the loop on how it goes with the keyboard hunting 🙂 btw, i had the exact same issue, blue LEDs started out quite bright and then got weaker every year....before the keyboard lighting completely gave out on me (LED cable broke 😞)
  10. hey man, thats actually a known issue. may i know how old the machine is? problem is that the blue LEDs get weaker and weaker with time as opposed to the red and green ones. unfortunately there is no fix aside from a brand new replacement keyboard 😅
  11. 14.89€ with free shipping for a 4 gram syringe when "midnight shopping" between midnight and 6am when ordering inside Germany: https://www.mindfactory.de/product_info.php/Alphacool-Apex-17W-mK-Thermal-grease-4g_1457505.html not sure if it would make sense to do like a mass order and distribute to members outside germany / EU? would be a bit of a gamble on how stringent they check packages at the borders 😛 haha
  12. "fine-tuned memory compatibility" by equalizing ALL installed modules via total erasure. wth 😵🙄🤦‍♂️
  13. dude wtf....please tell me that cpu was delidded. otherwise the sheer force necessary for such a feat in TRANSIT are just bonkers... wth did they do with that package? throw it off the top of the Burj Khalifa strapped to a rock and then put a stamp on it for "Airmail"? 😅 ooooh you might be onto something there, bud! try to go even lower with the Cache, see if u can reach full stability. as for the power the cache consumes, i dont think it will make much of a difference, maybe a few watts. more important thing is to get a stable undervolt on the P cores 🙂
  14. oh thats easy, his name here at NBT is @Prema 😄
  15. ill be sure to let u know shortly before pulling my hair out @DDR5 on AM5 😅 fingers crossed papa fox! keep us updated on this. with a bit of luck, the SPD / XMP profiles only got messed up during the bios flash, but wouldnt be touched anymore afterwards.
  16. kool man, let us know how it goes, "asking for a friend with a 9900K and kryonaut" 😂
  17. hey man, ive got exactly what ure looking for. however, not planning to sell it off until i switch to a desktop (waiting for AM5 and RTX 4000 / RDNA 3) 😛
  18. thats a sign that there is some kind of power limit applied, but not from vbios but rather the mobo side. seems like there is some TBP envelope which is being completely used up now by the vRAM, GPU core and other components. as for VRMs, u can double check the thermal pad contact with the heatsink (indentations) so make sure u have proper contact.
  19. PremaMod is mostly available for Clevo machines, but there are also some individual MSI and Tongfang machines that got it. every premamod is model specific, so it doesnt cover a whole brand or series. lemme check if i can find an updated / current list of premamod partners / shops that offer premamod with machines they sell.
  20. alternatively, one can just use the latest Rufus to remove all the unwanted crap such as TPM & MS account requirements
  21. 🤣 theres no cache to be cleared here hahaha, its all actual data 😋😁 and im totally not a fan of anime or kung fu movies. but in general, were talking all types of stuff, action/scifi/drama/thrillers/comedy/romance/documentaries/fantasy, etc... whatever seems interesting 🙂 been collecting for like 20 years now, so naturally theres quite a pile forming 😁
