  1. haha yep true, but it really depends on the rest of ur system and of course your usage cases.
  2. duuude i gotta check this out asap....well....as soon as i get back from vacay 😋
  3. thats kool, so no risk of the underlying SMDs falling off the board due to the LM? 😅
  4. ah yes, its "only" a 12900H, was thinking of the HX 😋 not that familiar anymore with mobile chip specs...cant bother 😅
  5. ha, one itch scratched, off to the next. its an evil cycle....but a fun one 😋
  6. wait what? i hope ure referring to the housing @trimmed 😅 and not the lcd panel hahaha watch out not to overtighten the housing around the panel, might cause bleeding issues from the backlight.
  7. talk about unbalanced 😅 unfortunately the norm in europe. pretty sick wifi speeds tho, amazing! back in SG we also had a 1gbit line which was synchronous, pretty sweet. now were back to 50Mbit and u know what? its totally fine! 😋
  8. omg i absolutely LOVED freespace 2! cant believe ppl are still playing that to this day 😁 and wait, are there any mods for it?
  9. pics, temps, perf numbers, wattages, u know the drill 😋
  10. post some air vs water cooled temps and wattages. also, hows the 3070 running at 180W? what kind of an uptick vs stock wattage?
  11. newly infected incoming! 😋 gotta hold out until sept....
  12. good thing about unified heatsinks is that u rarely have any loads that stress both the cpu and gpu the same. so dont worry about the cpu running hot under heavy load, in that situation ur gpu will be idle twiddling its thumbs, so u can use the gpu thermal mass to help out the cpu (and vice versa) 😉
  13. i can take my machine up to 3467 bootable but not stable. depending on timings, stability pans out around 3333 to 3400. the highest ive ever seen on a laptop was by @Premaand @johnksss, iirc they both achieved 3733 stable.
  14. jay had a look at the intel version: tbh im a bit disappointed at the cpu performance, barely 20k in CB23 WITH water cooling. just goes to show the worth of a 12900K in the NH55 even if its not full performance but still beating this bga book by 4000 pts on air cooling 😋😁 nevertheless, eluktronics / tongfang make great machines compared to other vendors!
  15. u tried with enforcement disabled or the disabling part didnt work? desktop is actually quite a bit away from C root, since it has to go through the users and your particular username folder first before u even get to the desktop folder. so thats minimum 3 instances deep, if not four if u pack the setup files into another folder on your desktop 😅
  16. quite the adventure! uve taken care of the physical aspects, now its about vbios / sbios / ec compatibility. u can definitely use ur programmer to flash the vbios chip, just make sure u have the right cable and clamp on hand that fits the chip 🙂 keep us updated!
  17. ditto! dude, thats quite the untertaking, looking forward!
  18. try and disable driver signature enforcement, see if that helps. another quite silly thing is to make sure u extract / put the driver setup files as close to root on your C drive as possible to avoid dumb error messages during install. so ideally use smth like C:\GPU Driver as your setup folder to start the install from and avoid any kind of deep folder hierarchies.
  19. i know exactly what kind of relief u went through there hahaha. congratz!
  20. welcome back bud! ull feel right at home at NBT, phoenix from the NBR ashes 🤠
  21. oh that sounds interesting, saved to my watchlist! 🙂
  22. sounds like your power delivery is holding you back. even when flashing a higher wattage gpu bios, theres still a total system wattage limit in place. and, of course, u never know what weirdness can happen when flashing unofficial stuff haha 😋
  23. lol, understatement! and yes, its likely some kinda voltage or amp limit that causes the system to freeze. even highend DTRs can only do so much to try and keep up with entry to midrange desktop boards with regards to power delivery...
