first thing that came to mind was RAM. try and dial the sticks down to SPD, tune in your CPU, then take the RAM back up step by step.
-
haha sorry mate, good luck hunting down a 980M 🙂
-
oh yes indeed 😄 i visually checked the dimensions on the NH55 ILM, the contact frame "should" fit nicely in there without getting in the way of any SMDs. the height shouldnt be an issue, since the IHS is the highest point and thus the contact to the IHS. im currently cleaning up the stock IHS, still had the black silicone glue and the sTIM at the center. especially the latter is a biatch to clean up, but the Rockit Cool kit also helps in this regard 🤠

you got it bud, happy to help. keep us in the loop on how it goes with the keyboard hunting 🙂 btw, i had the exact same issue, blue LEDs started out quite bright and then got weaker every year....before the keyboard lighting completely gave out on me (LED cable broke 😞)
-
hey man, thats actually a known issue. may i know how old the machine is? problem is that the blue LEDs get weaker and weaker with time as opposed to the red and green ones. unfortunately there is no fix aside from a brand new replacement keyboard 😅
-
btw, have a looksie 🤪

14.89€ with free shipping for a 4 gram syringe when "midnight shopping" between midnight and 6am when ordering inside Germany: https://www.mindfactory.de/product_info.php/Alphacool-Apex-17W-mK-Thermal-grease-4g_1457505.html not sure if it would make sense to do like a mass order and distribute to members outside germany / EU? would be a bit of a gamble on how stringent they check packages at the borders 😛 haha

"fine-tuned memory compatibility" by equalizing ALL installed modules via total erasure. wth 😵🙄🤦♂️ -
dude wtf....please tell me that cpu was delidded. otherwise the sheer force necessary for such a feat in TRANSIT are just bonkers... wth did they do with that package? throw it off the top of the Burj Khalifa strapped to a rock and then put a stamp on it for "Airmail"? 😅 ooooh you might be onto something there, bud! try to go even lower with the Cache, see if u can reach full stability. as for the power the cache consumes, i dont think it will make much of a difference, maybe a few watts. more important thing is to get a stable undervolt on the P cores 🙂

ill be sure to let u know shortly before pulling my hair out @DDR5 on AM5 😅 fingers crossed papa fox! keep us updated on this. with a bit of luck, the SPD / XMP profiles only got messed up during the bios flash, but wouldnt be touched anymore afterwards. -
hey man, ive got exactly what ure looking for. however, not planning to sell it off until i switch to a desktop (waiting for AM5 and RTX 4000 / RDNA 3) 😛
-
huh weird... why would the adapter cause battery drain when the system is switched off? standby consumption of the ssd? 🤔

thats a sign that there is some kind of power limit applied, but not from vbios but rather the mobo side. seems like there is some TBP envelope which is being completely used up now by the vRAM, GPU core and other components. as for VRMs, u can double check the thermal pad contact with the heatsink (indentations) so make sure u have proper contact.

PremaMod is mostly available for Clevo machines, but there are also some individual MSI and Tongfang machines that got it. every premamod is model specific, so it doesnt cover a whole brand or series. lemme check if i can find an updated / current list of premamod partners / shops that offer premamod with machines they sell.

alternatively, one can just use the latest Rufus to remove all the unwanted crap such as TPM & MS account requirements

How many spinning hard drives do you have in your desktop?

🤣 theres no cache to be cleared here hahaha, its all actual data 😋😁 and im totally not a fan of anime or kung fu movies. but in general, were talking all types of stuff, action/scifi/drama/thrillers/comedy/romance/documentaries/fantasy, etc... whatever seems interesting 🙂 been collecting for like 20 years now, so naturally theres quite a pile forming 😁 -
oh no worries ill probably order one soon, together with the TG contact frame 😁

so guys, i might have some good news! i was looking around for a good source / pricing on the above 280W PSU and then i thought to myself: why stop there? so i searched for 300W models that might be compatible, and lo and behold: i found a 330W Delta model with our 5.5x2.5 mm barrel plug connector! 🤠😁😎 43% more wattage headroom, anyone? 😉 Model number is: Delta ADP-330ABD However, as with the Chicony 280W psu above, u need to check which connector it sports, since there are several submodels, the most widely available one with the 4 or 6 prongs. BUT there is indeed a model with our barrel connector as mentioned 🙂 Sources im currently looking at for Europe: Chicony 280W = https://www.laptop-ac-adapter.de/chicony-a18-280p1a-netzteil-78662.html#2567 Delta 330W = https://www.laptop-ac-adapter.de/netzteile-delta-19.5v-16.9a-330w-in-deutschland-2525.html# funny enough, the Delta is actually cheaper than the Chicony LOL

its not the same but the overall aim is similar, i.e. unlock bios options, provide more performance, allow hardware upgrades, etc.
-
depends, some laptops have that "battery boost" feature *cough* where the system draws additional power from the battery during high loads when needed since the psu is only designed to just baaaaaarely handle the system wattages... ull have to check if that also applies to your model or not.
-
iirc they should be compatible, make sure to check NBC reviews of the two models, they definitely show the heatsinks as well. i should know since i had both systems but ZM has been a while back haha. as for the LCD, u can try the following trick: search for ur own lcd and the eurocom models listed on this website: https://www.panelook.com/ check their dimensions and cable types / connections and then use the search engine to filter for displays with the same dimensions and cables. that way ull get an idea of whats out there. can then search for such panels on ebay or aliexpress. for example, in my ZM i originally had a panasonic "3K" display installed that was between an FHD and UHD resolution, basically 1440p-like. so there are definitely more options! just make sure that ur mobo has the required display connectors, be it LVDS or the newer eDP with the respective cable width / pin number. sometimes mobos have both connector traces but only one of the two is actually active / connector soldered in place.

sure bud, always happy to promote our resident unicorn phoenix master hahaha intel igpu is actually smth that most of the time cannot be tweaked much in terms of functionality. there are three types of systems with regards to igpu: 1) igpu disabled (physically cut off) with discrete gpu only 2) igpu and dgpu active, but only automated switching possible via optimus-like implementation (all output is being routed through igpu) 3) igpu and dgpu active, manual switching possible through a hardware mux, so output can either come from igpu or dgpu in all three instances, functionality always stays the same as stock. so if the igpu is not functional at stock, theres usually no way to activate it via firmware since the physical traces are missing on the motherboard. its basically unheard of that the igpu would be disabled via firmware only, with the hardware traces implemented nonetheless... as for acquiring the premamod... humtz, thats always a tricky one. it used to be donation based and freely available back in the day up to 900M series, nowadays its usually only available together with a newly bought system from a prema partner shop. but u can always try to contact Prema himself and offer up a personal donation (hes also got an account here at NBT btw). im personally not intimately familiar with the P775TM1, but im aware that it originally started off with 8 series cpus and 10 series pascal gpus and later was able to sport 9 series cpus and 20 series turing gpus. as for ampere 30 series gpus, mxm versions are still far and few between. id first check and see if ure able to source them anywhere, then check the physical dimensions and heatsink compatibility first. only once uve taken care of those hurdles can u consider continuing with a firmware mod (if even necessary, sometimes theyre plug n play firmware wise with just driver inf mod needed).
