  1. impressive progress! just goes to show how much leeway is left in terms of wide tolerance manufacturing of laptop cooling...
  2. the MUX provides more performance though, since routing the signal through the igpu as in hybrid mode robs u of significant fps in games...
  3. of course bro papu, i chose "acceptable" as the description of choice because "good" or "awesome" wouldve been way too positive a connotation 😂
  4. duuuuude that looks gorgeous, its soooooooooo wiiiiiiiiiiide 😂
  5. LOL, word! Jay is funny and knowledgeable in certain things, i.e. hands on experience with watercooling, but sometimes hes not quite on the money imho. id rather trust moores law is dead on this one, stating that the MAJORITY OF MINING GPUS HASNT EVEN STARTED TO HIT THE MARKET YET! meaning: were still at the BEGINNING of the gpu price crash LOL seriously guys, if this continues i might just grab a dirt cheap 3090ti as a "holdover" placeholder gpu until 40 series is out, widely available and all partners have released their lineup 😂 oh the irony! hahaha
  6. true, drama sells clicks n views. but still, better to be aware than be caught off guard.
  7. MS stays true to its crappy/acceptable cycle 😂 win95 - crappy win98 - acceptable winME - crappy XP/2000 - acceptable Vista - crappy win7 - acceptable win8/8.1 - crappy win10 - acceptable win11 - crappy so as you can see, were exactly according to plan, in the middle of a crappy os cycle! ðŸĪŠ
  8. well, sometimes the solution is as simple as it is unexpected 😋 glad it was such a straightforward thing!
  9. hmmm....im willing to be enlightened as to what exactly makes the nothing phone so special, aside from clever marketing and hype train going choo choo ðŸĪ” admittedly, the design is unusual and something that stands out in a crowd, but thats not enough for me to pull my wallet out.... any special software functionality and/or update policy? accessories? support for custom roms?
  10. cmon u tease, tell us the price ðŸĪŠ the neo g9 has been my target monitor for quite a while now, until the neo g8 got released 😋 i decided to go for a more "standard" 16:9 ratio vs ultrawide but man the neo g9 is a beast to be reckoned with! which firmware are u running? also, what settings are u using? calibrated or not? give us da deetz!
  11. if anyone is interested, i can highly recommend Team Phoenix decrapified windows builds: https://phoenixliteos.com/ quite lightweight and performant, i installed a full lite OS win 11 build for my lady's machine and its been running quite smoothly!
  12. thanks for showing interest mate! the unicorn magic master and i are currently working on a mod for this machine, well have to figure out what kinda performance and functionality advantages we can achieve. based on how successful we are, there is indeed a tentative plan to release it to partners. "people" are being kept in the loop, but its still early days. in any case, ill keep the guys here updated on the progress 🙂 speaking of which! we mightve gotten rid of the bug that kept us from properly signing and flashing modded firmwares, next test built is ready to be flashed 😁👌🏞 "unfortunately" *cough*, i still got a week of vacay here in croatia ahead of me and "Alfred" is waiting at home 😋
  13. nice man, solid 10c shaved off! does that allow any extra multis? as for the price on those EVGA frames....holy guacamole. im guessing super limited run and excessive cost for the tooling required to produce the parts for them. sorry but id never even consider spending THAT money on a case, damn! btw good news, 3090 ti pricing dropped by another 200₮ here in europe, the crash continues mwahahaha! cheapest available card now sits at 1399₮ including tax and shipping. gotta love that 😁👌🏞
  14. such a hybrid heatsink only makes sense if u actually use it for watercooling. then ull see significant temp reduction, in the range of 10-20C or even a bit more. but the air cooling capability is actually comparable to slightly worse vs the stock heatsink. ull sometimes see increased thermal mass to balance this out but thatll only prolong ur peak temps, not decrease them.
  15. have a look at the just released odyssey neo g7 and g8 monitors, both 32 inch, 10 bit panels, 165/240 hz, roughly 95% dci-p3 (adobe and s3 also above 90% iirc), HDR "2000" (not VESA certified but based on reviews around HDR1200). as for response times, dont let urself be fooled by the marketing doodles, aside from OLED panels theres literally no 1ms response time monitor. these VA panels, however, are second only to OLED panels and way faster than any IPS in their class. have a look at HUB reviews for reference: btw, that "disappointing" headline for the Neo G8 is in my opinion on a VERY high level, its not to say that its a bad monitor, just not "perfect". but what monitor is? 😛 in any case, also be on the lookout for the upcoming LG C2 OLEDs, might be smth good.
  16. id have another look at current VA monitors, especially with samsung made panels inside, theyve done quantum leaps in terms of dark level smearing, viewing angles and inverse ghosting. plus theyre much much faster than any comparable IPS panels.
  17. haha yep true, but it really depends on the rest of ur system and of course your usage cases.
  18. duuude i gotta check this out asap....well....as soon as i get back from vacay 😋
  19. thats kool, so no risk of the underlying SMDs falling off the board due to the LM? 😅
  20. ah yes, its "only" a 12900H, was thinking of the HX 😋 not that familiar anymore with mobile chip specs...cant bother 😅
  21. ha, one itch scratched, off to the next. its an evil cycle....but a fun one 😋
  22. wait what? i hope ure referring to the housing @trimmed 😅 and not the lcd panel hahaha watch out not to overtighten the housing around the panel, might cause bleeding issues from the backlight.
  23. talk about unbalanced 😅 unfortunately the norm in europe. pretty sick wifi speeds tho, amazing! back in SG we also had a 1gbit line which was synchronous, pretty sweet. now were back to 50Mbit and u know what? its totally fine! 😋
