interesting info, thx for the confirm. that previous 3080 is nothing special since other vendors also offer those in socketable format. however, its weird that nvidia blocked clevo from bringing a 3080 ti mxm to market while they allowed Dell to do such... i imagine it could have smth to do with the crazy non standard form factor specific to a single laptop model....

kool man, take your time! btw guys, what do you think about smth like the TG contact frame? GN did one of their fantastic, super accurate reviews and found on average a 7C drop in temps, thats basically equivalent to a delid! would it be possible space wise and mounting wise to install such a contact frame on our NH55 socket? hmmmm, i am definitely intrigued by this...

tracking sometimes switches over to the regional postal service in the target continent / country.

yep totally agree....i dont get why EVGA FTW3 cards are SO freaking expensive here in europe, like....wtf! compare that with an MSI Suprim X and ure looking at roughly 800€ (!!!) price difference for a new 3090 Ti at exactly the same performance. the only advantage, albeit a significant one, with EVGA is the option to extend the warranty to 5 or 10 years vs. MSI's 3 years non-extendable. although one might just as well purchase a third party warranty at that point... -
oh wait what? xmp aint supported on stock bios, wth?! 😲

yeah man that makes total sense, squeeze some more life outta that monster 3090KP! and LOL nope it was more along the lines of Batman - Bruce Wayne - Alfred 😂 although Alfred is way more powerful gpu wise, with cpu perf being roughly on par (crazy how far tech has come, 9900K = 12600 non-K lol) -

dude u and me both with regards to 4000 pricing. at this point in time anything is possible, ranging from ridiculous prices due to scalpers all the way to rock bottom prices due to the market being saturated with all the leftover 3000 series cards... -
if xmp doesnt work right off the bat, try and switch to manual mode to dial in the best timings that particular mobo/cpu imc/ram combo can support. its not just all or nothing, but it needs tweaking.

duuuude thats sweet LOL. what 1080 version are u using? does it need external power that u siphoned off somewhere on the mobo? -

whats that P750FM? frankenmod? lol -
lets recap: gpu drivers install fine (no error messages), but once installed the internal screen goes blank? but external display still provides an output? have u cleaned up with DDU before installing a different driver? does the internal screen work normally before gpu drivers are installed? what happens if u reboot into safe mode with a gpu driver installed?

Buy non-original battery ...or not?
jaybee83 replied to 6730b's topic in Pro Max & Precision Mobile Workstation
glad to hear, definitely smth to keep in mind for future battery purchases 🙂 also good choice on that 980, its basically the best performing DRAM-less SSD out there.
